Name: Christopher Valentine
Title/Alias/Etc: Blood Mage, "Crimson Devil"
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Race: Mage
Type: Minor - Blood Bather
Faction: The Mad
Weapons: Claws, Ink
Equipment: Vials of Blood Ink, Brush, Extraction Kit (Needles, empty glass vials), Mixing Kit (Special Ink necessary to make Blood Ink, Book of Enchantments for specific types of Blood Ink)
Influence: None
Skills:
Manipulation: Good with words and situational awareness, allowing him to manipulate people to his will for various needs.
Close Quarters: Due to his expulsion from the Mage Sects, he was forced to live on the street, where he learned to fight with his bare hands and his magically crafted claws for survival
Conjuring: Base 6, 7 if Empowered
Blood Magic: Studied Life and Death magics, combining his lessons with his forbidden art to create a twisted form of magic. His Blood Magic uses Blood Ink as a medium, and can be used in a variety of ways:
Summoning: Using his Blood Ink, he can create a summoning circle to conjure monstrosities to do his bidding, and with his knowledge of Death magic, can use his freshly bled victims to make Undead Abominations, disfigured creatures that can be used as diversions or as primary means of attack/defense.
Empowering: In a desperate scenario, or if he wishes for added strength to his spells and abilities, he can Empower his circles or his own body with a special Blood Ink created with his own magical blood to enhance the intended effect.
Physical Combat: Using his Blood Ink on his body, he can harden it to form a makeshift armor, or makeshift weapons, such as his claws. The armor, while not incredibly durable, can lessen the damage of some physical attacks. It is only as strong as a light platemail, which means blunt force trauma is lessened, but piercing, stabbing, and slashing attacks are still somewhat effective. If used under the effect of Empower, the armor thickens slightly and grows 1-inch spikes, making it so that hand-to-hand enemies are punished for attacking him, and giving some some of his own close quarter abilities a slight enhancement.
Personality: Quiet, Manipulative, Cunning
Biography: Christopher was born different from others. He had a special ability that few though real: He was capable of magic. This became apparent when he was young, and was sent to study under the Thyrsus Mages. During his time there, he developed an affinity for studying Life magic, and prospered intellectually under their Arcana. However, during his Awakening, something went wrong, and his mind became corrupted by the darkness of his craft. He was exiled and forced to the streets, where he was forced to survive on his own.
Eventually, he came upon Moros Mages and became intrigued with their Death magic, wanting to study it for himself. He became obsessed with learning Death Magic and becoming a Master of Life and Death, and this obsession eventually brought him to kill some of the Moros Mages. His technique was sloppy at first, though he was able to escape suspicion, for the time being. He studied the artifacts and tomes of the Moros and began to find an understanding of their ways with Death.
The time came when he had learned enough, and began experimenting with his own breed of magic, finding what he had come to name 'Blood Magic,' which used the essence of life, mixed with a special ink that he had discovered. He had taken some of the magical texts that he had taken and extracted the ink from them, using the magic-infused ink with blood to create a dark and twisted version of magic. He had finally come to find some meaning in his life, and went to show the Mages what he had discovered. Upon learning the atrocity that he had committed, he was branded a heretic and permanently cast from their society at the age of 18.
Now a complete outcast, he wanders, looking to improve his power and break the next threshold, looking to become a Master of his newfound magic. Now that he has had six years to practice his craft, he has become surprisingly adept at extracting the blood from his victims. To lower the risk of being caught, he has begun extracting the blood from his victims in such a way that they would look almost identical to that of a completely drained Vampire victim. At least, to the untrained eye. Using the extraction kit that he has produces different wounds than a Vampire's bite, but anyone without express knowledge of Vampire attacks would be unable to tell the difference.
