It'd been quite some time since his run in with Kiuma, who he has decided he doesn't like but wasn't scared out of the pridelands entirely. Instead Kijibwa decided to be a little more careful in his travelling for awhile, staying nearer the borders and out of sight. But now! The adolescent lion decided it was time to try again, convincing himself Kiburi wouldn't lie and the only lioness he'd come across so far was an exception he hadn't been told about. Kijibwa walks out in the late afternoon sun, heading in a direction toward the center of the pridelands once again. He relaxes the farther he walks, moving at a leisurely pace- not paying much attention to the distance, though he's decidedly more attentive to his immediate surroundings.

Chinara'fola stumbled along after a beetle, keeping her forest green eyes locked on the ground. "Wouldja wait fow me!" she growled at the beetle, who scurried faster.
Keeping up with the beetle for a few more minutes, she leaned down to jump onto it. But the beetle scurried behind something large and white. It looked like a rock! Nevertheless, she leapt at the "rock", tumbling off it and flopping onto her back. It wasn't a rock, it was a leg! eek Of a rather handsome lion, too..

Kijibwa's ear turn when he hears the sound of something growling, it doesn't sound very threatening to him but he looks around to be sure. He looks in the opposite direction just when the cub comes leaping at his leg, making him do an odd sort of turning jump to see what hit him. He stands trying to look like a threat, but he fails miserably at it- luckily for him all that his eyes fall upon is a cub.
"What?" he resumes a natural stance and tilts his head, "A cub."
He says this almost as if she wasn't there, then he steps over to her and leans down to get a better look.
"Where'd you come from?" he asks, smiling. She does't look mean or threatening.

(Sorry XD; Had to help put away groceries. )
Chinara's eyes widened, before she scrambled up, trying to look proper. But bits of dirt and dead grass clung to her fur. "U-um... t-the sky?" she answered stupidly. The cub lowered her ears in an embarassed fashion.
This lion -was- handsome! She certainly liked him. But he seemed a little big.. and he looked taller than her, that's for sure. "I-I'm sowwy for cwashing into youw weg.." she said, looking up at him nervously. Just to show her apologies, she brushed some dirt off his spot-free leg, very nervous.

(( Don't worry about it XD
She's so cute! ))
Kijibwa straightens up when Chinara claims to have come from the sky, taking on a silly-looking thoughtful expression. There's no way she came from the sky, he knew cubs don't just appear out of no where- even if he doesn't know exactly where they come from.
"But cubs don't just come from the sky," he says finally, "Are you sure?"
When she apologizes for crashing into his leg he can't help but look at it, it really hadn't hurt him so much as it had startled him- and before he says anything she's brushing it off.
"That's ok," he assures her, almost laughing, "I'm sorry I put my leg in your way."

(Li'l angel. XD)
"I meant to say I came from my mommy an' daddy!" she chirped up, before recoiling back shyly. "I don't know if they faww fwom the sky..."
She then stood up, swaying her tail excitedly. "It's aww wight! What's youw name? I'm Chinawa'fowa!" she said proudly. Those 'r's and 'l's were hard to pronounce for the little cub.

"Oh," Kijibwa blinks, no longer puzzling where the cub came from, "That makes more sense than the sky." Life was back to making sense, no lions popping out of thin air- even if this cub had caught him off guard.
"Chinawa'fowa?" he repeats after her, tilting his head and considering how she'd been saying her 'r's and 'l's like 'w's- this doesn't help him figure out exactly what her name is, instead it makes more possibilities.
"Er," he mumbles, "Let's just call you.. China. Much easier, I think." He grins and nods, it's the first part of her name and the only part he can be sure of.
"My name is Kijibwa," he introduces himself, pleased there are no 'r's or 'l's in his name, making it easier to say. He sits down.

Chinara giggled, flopping onto her behind. "Can I caww you Kiji?" she asked, wagging her tail hopefully. Pet names, already, eh? She liked him even more, now!
She then hopped up, and for no apparent reason, leapt at his leg, pretending to wrestle with it. Although, those little teeth definitely hurt.. xD;

"Sure you can!" He beams, always happy to make things easier with friendly lions- which he's not sure this one is. That is, until she randomly decides to attack his leg. Though startled by the sudden pounce, he stays sitting, though he leans a bit to the side opposite the side with the leg she wrestles with.
"Hey!" he swats ather playfully, though careful as well because of how much smaller she is. He's surprised again to find that her teeth hurt more than you'd expect. With a grin, he swats at her again. This time intending to get her off of his leg but not without it's own playfulness.

Chinara grins--with her mouth full of paw-- and eventually scrambles to his side, before leaping onto his side and nipping playfully at his mane. It felt so fluffy and soft...
She then starts tugging on at ear, careful not to flop off his head. This was so much fun, rough housing with an older lion! She hadn't done this since her family left..

Proof he can't fight comes in the form of a little green-eyed cub as he not only fails to get her off of him but ends up with his mane and ear being tugged toward the ground. He instinctively leans back with her, closer to the ground, to try to make the tugging stop and to make sure if she does fall it isn't far.
"Aw, come on, China," he says in a mock-whine, "You're so much stronger than I am."
Deciding to actually 'fight' back, he pulls back by lifting up his head against her tugging- even standing up to try to make it harder for her to hold on.

[[Mind if Tekeza joins in? :3]]
Tekeza padded along the dirt slowly, the warm sun making her slightly sleepy. She could still see the mound of family in the distance, and she sighed, happy to be away. It wasnt that she didnt like her family, it was just, it made her nervous to be around so many people at once. Something was always going on and someone was always getting hurt. She yawned and stretched out her creamy yellow body, her belly just scraping the sandy ground. She took a couple steps, then curled up in the shadow of a large gray rock. She purred to herself happily, feeling much calmer and happier alone.

(Doomi! <33 Feel free. xD)
Chinara wobbled a bit, but continued to tug at his ear. "Weawwy?" she said, letting go of his ear for a split second. Lucky for him, she tumbled down his back and onto the ground with an 'oof!'.
The cub shook her little head a bit, before standing up, shaking her body. Green eyes peered around the area, before she noticed the cream-colored cub. Grinning evilly, she stalked slowly towards her, around the rock, before appearing from the side. "BOO!" she yelled to startle Tekeza.

Kijibwa chuckles when Chinara finally falls from his ear, from speaking even- that made about half the fights he'd been in that talking worked. He snorts, reminding himself that he'd never been in a real fight and that he doesn't really care to be in one.
By the time he comes out of his thoughts, he realizes that China has wandered off- he looks around, just intime to spot her stalking toward a rock with another little lion on it. He stays where he is until she yells her 'boo' and then starts walking toward them.

Tekeza jumped up with a yelp, her eyes wide with fright. "Hey!" She yelled, her face flushed with embarresment at being scared by a cub. When she calmed back down, she sat back on her haunches, shifting the weight from paw to paw nervously. She could see another, a male. "Uh..h-hello." She said shyly.
