Dakota shuffled in, sitting down at one of the seats and warily avoiding the food Edith had laid out. Thank god she was distracted from watching them eat by the paperwork.

He was quiet until she asked for results, gulping as he looked to Ryan and Saya, his fellow moons.

"Ma'am." Dakota stood first, "Last meeting I requested to train a team that would be fit for specific rescue and escort missions. I apologize that it took so long but, I completed the training with Sam for death techniques that would be beneficial as leader of the team, as well as finishing the training with the four members I have chosen with what I have learned." He shuffled nervously, knowing that the rescue mission for the leaders had been a bad fluke on his part. But with that came a learning experience.

"I understand in these times we are focusing on the Titan attacks and collecting of energy sources from excalibur's departure from us, but I'd like to request, if there is one, a mission where my team and I can show what we have learned and how effective we will be together."

This time he looked Edith straight on. He was dead serious and very nervous about the request, as even though he was a hunter, he was still a young hunter....

With Edith distracted Ryan opted on avoiding any and all the kabobs as well as any other assorted canned foods, and instead quickly picked out a seat near Dakota. The last thing he wanted was to end up sick and the sight of those kabobs was doing just that. Where did one even get the idea for fruit and sardine--cheese covered kabobs, anyways? That was like a recipe for disaster!

That aside, though Edith expected it, Ryan didn't really have any proposals. After all, ideas weren't really his forte. Though, since he was a part of Dakota's little work in progress of a team, he quietly listened to the moon lead's response and waited for Dakota's response, now that she was finished speaking.

Saya was trying a kabob thing, nibbling at it but looking quite green. But she was making a tremendous effort to finish it.

She might have been looking for Charlotte as well, rather than listening fully to the conversation. She was listening though, with a churning stomach.

Dakota sat back down....and then sort of deflated in his seat, his gaze turning to Ryan.

"Hope you don't mind that Ryan...."

Dakota also turned his attention to Saya with a pained look.

But if Saya had too, he would cheer her on.

"I hope Wilson and Eva feel the same. Or better yet, can you imagine Wilson's face when I tell him..." He straightened his face and crossed his arms and gave the best unamused Wilson expression he could to Ryan.

Marcus raised his hand waiting for a lapse in others speaking before beginning. "So far, taking a few trainees out for basic moon centered lessons seems to be paying off. I've notice others across the divisions have also stepped up in regards to this, and it seems to have had a positive effect on those newly joining us. However-" Marcus leaned back in his chair, holding his bbq slathered canned spam and pineapple kabob with whipped cream topping over a napkin.

It tasted somewhat sane.

"It's become pretty apparent that we.. well we being 'Deus ex generation blow up the horsemen and get blown up ourselves by titans', we really don't exactly have a good grasp on survivalist training. Sure, we can live on canned goods, but the second a portal is down a lot of us act like we might as well have been abandoned kittens. No idea how to make shelters, how to start a fire, to hunt or what's safe to eat in certain environments- for being the top of the food chain we pretty much are dumb. While yes, usually portals get set up and we get brought back the fact remains. For being as trained as we are to handle threats of FEAR, we're not well trained to handle the basic threats of the various environments we can become stranded in."

"I'd like permission to take a few teams to isolated, low-FEAR regions and set up a sort of survivalist training. Lacking in FEAR we'll be forced to rely less on our weapons and their protection. Pre mission will offer some basic prep and schooling on common things such as making a camp, finding safe drinking water- it will be a learning experience. Not just for many of us full hunters, but the trainees as well."

He looked at the kabob.
"We could also have a lesson on cooking with what's available. This is sort of tacking onto what myself and others are already doing, but with a more narrow goal that spans divisions rather than focusing on one primary."

He tried to sneak in the fact he could lead.
Maybe.
He was ready and willing, just a matter of being trusted enough to be allowed.


Marcus did pause to glance over to Dakota.
So proud, not even one attempt to hit on the lead or the assistant. You were growing up Dakota.
