The runic coffee maker is no longer working. Considering that its last pot put half a dozen hunters in the infirmary, this was quite likely a mercy. Other than that, the room was much the same as during their last meeting, more like an executive boardroom than anything else. At the of the table, Dr. H was sorting through a number of papers, reading glasses perched on his nose. A tall, skinny young man with thinning hair hovered for a moment before moving to sit on the chair to the doctor's right, only to receive a blank, quiet look from the division leader. Flushing, the younger man took the next seat down, leaving an empty space between them. On the doctor's left, Stephen and Sunny exchanged a grim look but didn't comment.

After most of the Life division had filtered in, the doctor's voice rang with calm clarity over the soft chatter, "You may begin."

Ami came into the room and quietly sat somewhere near the front. She had nothing to offer up this time, considering her last request was still ongoing. With her house in need of repairs and the island constantly being under attack, there wasn't a lot of time for the library.

God it was good having the actual Dr. H back. Having him in "zen" mode was uncomfortable and unsettling- all kinds of wrong. It was good to see him back to his usual pervasive self.

So instead of putting herself on the stage (which she was afraid of, as the "quiet girl" stereotype ran), she instead just sat and listened in for useful trainees. With a judgmental stare.

Lex had followed Ami in the room, taking a seat across the way from her, seeing as she hated being too lovey-dovey. He understood and kept his boundaries when they were in a public, professional arena such as this, and contented himself to take occasion and nudge her foot with his. He'd brought along a notebook and a manila file with nothing but a few sheets of blank paper in them, for possible surges of ideas.

He smiled at the Doctor, cringed at Sunny, and kept his head down as they waited for the others to start pouring in.

Ami raised an eyebrow with "Roger's" introduction, but didn't look up from the sudoku puzzle she was doing in her seat.

She did, however, sneak a glance when the Doctor snapped.

Interesting.

Rin snapped out of her quiet daze to look at Noah. Did he really just ask that? Did he really want to know the answer? Rin smiled at the fresh faced little lifer and bared just the edges of her teeth. "Murder, I'm sure."

"Anytime," Rin's eyes slid parially closed as she watched the eagerness sap right out of him. "Just be grateful his head wasn't exploded all over your desk in the process." Sometimes honesty was fun.

There was an unfamiliar man sitting at the table when they arrived, and Mimsy attached the unfamiliar name on the text to him without much thought. Everything else appeared very similar to the last meeting she had attended, except...

She hid a smile behind a cough and straightened the papers in her folder, waiting for someone to speak. It was the unfamiliar man that began to talk at length, introducing himself as the new 'Life Assistant'. The more he spoke, the faster she categorized him as wholly useless - thankfully, he was cut off after his moment of silence, so she didn't need to wait long to hear someone else begin their proposal.

But nobody did. What was this game they were playing? After a tentative, heavily suspicious glance to approximately half of the room, she finally spoke up, attention focused on Dr. H.

"I referred to a unique Insanity-related incident that occurred to both Szczeosny and I within the mission report that I submitted after our most recent excursion to study Insanity within the Haunted House." That was a mouthful. She took a breath and continued. "I have preliminary research and reasonably solid theories which conclude that our involvement in the research of Insanity would be beneficial."

When she moved to place the small folder of information in front of him, she almost seemed uncharacteristically shy, halting her proposal until she could step back again.

"It may be indicative of a dangerous anomaly that has not yet been addressed, so I would like to request for us to be permitted to personally include and process this information, as well as any further findings."
