Hello everybody! Has anyone ever heard or played a Japanese horror RPG game called The Crooked Man? I love that game! I actually just beat it not too long ago. It's probably one of the best games I've ever played. It's packed full with jump scares and somewhat graphic images. By graphic, I mean violent and bloody. It gets kind of depressing and sad throughout the game. Warning, those who have weak hearts or don't do well with jump scares or blood should avoid playing. Yeah, I just thought I should mention that. Please try not to spoil it for others. I would suggest using a spoiler bar, but that's just my opinion.

✿ I've played it! And I loved it, apart from the whole crooked thing, if you know what I mean. wink ✿
Yeah, it did get really sad at the end of the hospital part.
I feel so bad for Duke!

I haven't played it but have heard about it from some of my friends who love it. The warning it gives reminds me of the warning before you start playing Silent Hill: Shattered Memories that says: This game plays you as much as you play it.

Yeah it's a really good game. If you ever get the time, I would suggest playing it. It's a really good solid strategy game as well.

I agree completely. Tell me if I got the moral right or whatever.
So, the moral of the game is basically telling you that no matter how much sadness and/or bitterness hunts you down, you shouldn't give into it, for much happier things are surrounding you that you haven't noticed yet. That's my interpretation. If you feel like sharing yours. Well, I would like to hear it, but you don't have to.
The message was definitely effective. I find myself not getting as depressed as I would have been before playing The Crooked Man if that makes any sense.

✿ I agree. Though I had already beaten my demon, it made it more encouraging not to back down. Have you played any similar indie horror games like the crooked man? ✿
