There's a very good reason Eleanor teaching Home Economics and it's that she simply adores cooking. She had from her very young years and straight after school went into training as a chef. However the long hours and demanding environment didn't suit her, so she found another job that could satisfy her more. Teaching children how to cook in the highlight of her life and greatest achievement. Eleanor always makes the extra effort to make delicious meals at home and you can usually find her in the kitchen on weekends. She just doesn't get tired of it.
Children
You know that lady who makes a beeline towards the other women who are just out taking a nice walk with her pram or young children? The one with big eyes who exclaims 'she's so beautiful?' with an expression of longing? That's Eleanor. If she hadn't gotten into cooking so early, her next choice would have been to work in childcare. Babies, children and even teens are all precious to her. More than anything she wants children of her own but has so far been thwarted by her husbands lack of interest.
Collecting Porcelain Butterflies
Everyone needs an odd quirk. There are three shelves in Eleanor's house devoted entirely to porcelain butterflies. She travels all over and searches the internet constantly for new ones, just to make her collection larger. Butterflies have always been a creature that delights her and she loves how delicate and beautiful all her pieces are.

Eleanor is just one of those people who cares. Other people are important to her, whether she knows them or not. If you want someone to talk to, someone to cry with or just someone to hold your hand, Eleanor is always there. She's the person who bursts into tears when she sees sad stories on the news and she will go well out of her way to look after her students if she senses they are upset.
Patient
She's got patience of a saint, her mother used to say. Eleanor does not anger easily, or at all. She simply takes everything that is thrown at her with a calm smile. Invite her to lunch and then make her wait for an hour, the only thing she's concerned about was if you got into trouble along the way. Eleanor doesn't see the point in getting upset about silly little things. Life is too short for that sort of nonsense.
Honest
Lies make Eleanor Taylor sad. She is a very honest woman who is always forthright with her feelings and her thoughts. She never deliberately holds back information and would rather tell the truth then tell a lie, even if somebody got hurt out of it. Eleanor would of course be there to give them a consoling hug, but she would feel as though she had done the right thing.
Flaws:
Scatterbrained
'Sorry class, I left my notes back in my office, I'll just... I'll just be a moment. Oh dear, where did I put my pen? And my keys? I'm so sorry.' Eleanor is nor here nor there nor anywhere some days. She forgets important dates, leaves her belongings everywhere and never remembers to lock the house on the way out. Her students know all they need to say is that they already handed their work in and Eleanor will just presume she lost it.
Easily Led
... like a lamb to slaughter. Because Eleanor doesn't lie, she lives by the misguided belief that nobody else does either. She takes people at their words and is more than willing to trust them call the shots. She's a very submissive personality and anyone wanting to dominate her decisions can do so easily. Her husband Samuel does it regularly to get what he wants. Eleanor also just seems to find it easier to live in a way where she has other people telling her what to do.
Serial Apologist
Eleanor's favourite word: 'sorry'. You might have been the one to bump into her, maybe you just crashed your cat into hers, well, she'll be the first to say sorry. It falls off her lips without her even thinking about it. She constantly apologizes for things that don't require apologies and it has been described by her friends as her most annoying trait. Why are you sorry? You either want to sit to my left or my right, it doesn't matter!
