The mission had been a frustrating one, but as missions went, it could be called a success. They'd done what they'd gone to do and come back without any dead or missing. It was Jerry's attitude during the search that worried Jordan; he'd resolved to ask Jerry about it. Maybe it was just the stress of living with very few amenities. Maybe it wasn't.

He rapped lightly on Jerry's door. It sometimes seemed like he only sought his friend out when there was a problem, he thought guiltily. That wasn't a particularly good sign.

Jordan eyed the ukelele with vague suspicion as he entered the room. "Is, uh. Is that the one that ... ?" he asked.

Jordan relaxed just slightly. "I'd try Moon storehouse for plastic cable or wire," he suggested, and took a seat beside the coffee table. "They're the build experts. Just stopping by to see how you're doing."

"Kind of stressed," Jordan admitted. "Harrison's still not himself, and I haven't gotten a decent shower or a good cup of coffee for a while." He shook his head. "What mission were you on that kept you out there a whole month? I mean, if you can tell me," he added.

"That's kind of worrisome," Jordan said, frowning. Jerry's reticence about the purpose of the mission suggested that it was something sensitive; Jordan didn't press for further details. "But yeah. Good that you're back."

He moved over to the couch, sitting down with a long breath that wasn't quite a sigh. "Considering it as a solution, at this point," he said sourly. "It's awkward and uncomfortable. He's shy, do you know how weird that is?"

"I told Rep about - what happened," Jordan said. "There wasn't something quite as, uh, definite for this hallucination." He gave Jerry a slightly pained look. "He thinks he's sixteen," he said. "I mean. I know he's not, but s**t, I feel skeevy, you know?"

"I've had a couple of memories come back to me," Jordan admitted, though he offered no details on what he'd forgotten and then recalled. "I seem to remember being offered the choice to forget something permanently. I'm pretty sure I didn't take it, though." He sighed. "Harrison will be back, I'm sure, we just have to find out what will get him to remember. He's pretty stressed out too, as far as I can tell. He's not talking to me much. Rep's been avoiding him."

"It'll come back. Probably at the worst possible moment." Jordan rubbed his forehead, recalling the way grief had brought back his own too-briefly forgotten tragedy, casually swatting him to his knees with sorrow in the graveyard. Pain upon pain. He wondered what Jerry had forgotten. No way to tell without some outside trigger.

"It can't last forever," he agreed, though there was a faint note of desperation in the back of his voice. "He hasn't been going on missions, though he's been participating in some duties and events. He helped in the titan defense. If we can't snap him out of it soon, I guess I'm going to have to ask Edith." Edith seemed to like Harrison, at least; she probably wouldn't be too harsh unless forced to be harsh.
