The weather didn't bother Tuck. He was used to rain after being stationed in Washington. The mud didn't bother him either. Mud was no big deal, he'd done plenty of drills that involved mud. In all honesty, sparring Heidi didn't really bother him, either. Maybe if he kept telling himself that, he'd believe it. Hands on his hips, Tuck glared down at the mud before he took a second to remove his jacket and scarf. He rolled them into a teeny little ball and ceremoniously set them aside a fair distance from the mud pit. After a brief moment of contemplation, he took his shirt off too. He'd thought about throwing the fight so that Heidi won, but the competitive edge was strong in this one, and he was really in it to win it - even if it meant playing dirty. He only hoped that Heidi didn't know how to play dirty. Turning to face his girlfriend, Tuck gave her a soft, sweet smile - and immediately swept the leg (no mercy) which would undoubtedly send his sweet, most darlingest and precious Heidi right into the mud. Tuck flashed his most angelic grin. "I love you." HP: 40 DMG: 6

Heidi had not bothered with her hunter coat and scarf. Yeah, she got that it was a thing of pride, but sometimes it just wasn't smart to wear it. Besides she would have taken it off anyway at the sight of this mud. It wasn't really the mud that bothered her, or the weather, she didn't care if she got dirty. Was the mud thick? Was it slippery? Right now she was standing at the very edge of it with a little frown of concern. Would she get stuck if she stepped in it? That could be bad...
She heard shuffling and looked up in time to see Tuck take off his shirt. Heidi grinned, blatantly admiring her boyfriend's body until he summoned Herryk. Right! They were sparring! And not just sparring, they would probably get an audience. Behave.
Perhaps you should tell your beau that.
Eh...she didn't really want to.
His affectionate smile was returned with one of her own as she summoned Matilda, though it disappeared when she was suddenly tripped. Heidi squeaked and fell first on her a** until she slipped trying to get up and fell on her back. Welp, that answered that.
She didn't cry, or accuse him of being an a*****e despite probably deserving it, or even complain that she'd landed in the mud. Nope. Heidi laughed. "I love you more," she replied, sitting up and quickly firing off an arrow at him. Dang, it barely hit him. "Jerk~" Heidi said affectionately, quickly rolling onto her knees and then getting back up on her feet. Heidi backed away, bow at the ready.
"You realize if you get me too dirty it's going to take me a really long time to clean up so I'm pretty for you when I wear the little pink dress, right?" Heidi pointed out innocently, giving Tuck a sweet angelic smile of her own.

The mud was thick in places, and it made moving difficult. Despite that, the mud was quickly proving to be incredibly entertaining - and muddy Heidi was ******** adorable. He loved that she didn't freak out about the muck. In his eyes it made her even more irresistible.
Tuck's grin grew a little wolfish as he moved in for his next attack.
"But you're so damn cute when you're dirty," he growled playfully into her ear an instant before he hooked the underside of Herryk's curved blade behind her ankles, and then he pulled up - which, according to plan, would probably send Heidi back onto her a** in the mud.
"Once we get runnin' water back, I'll help you shower."
His smile was anything but innocent.

She giggled. "I love you the most, so yes, it's totally possible."
She hadn't been expecting him to growl in her ear like that. For a few seconds she looked stunned, her eyes wide and her face slightly flushed. It gave him the perfect chance to send her to the ground and Heidi did yelp as she was suddenly forced on the ground again, pouting up at Tuck. She wasn't mad, he was just being mean.
Heidi did glance around quickly to make sure they were alone before she smiled up at Tuck again. "Okay~." After that Heidi quickly scrambled to her feet again. She'd never felt Herryk hit so hard before. Tuck was getting stronger! That was great!
Suddenly she paused. Something seemed to strike her in that moment and she grinned again. "You know..." Without another word Heidi suddenly adjusted her grip on Matilda to hold one limb, using the other to catch the curve of a blade around Tuck's ankle and tug. "You're better at being dirty than I am."
She then backed away, trying to get out of range of Herryk's immediate reach.

Suddenly he was flat on his back staring up at the rapidly graying sky. He could feel the mud squish down the back of his pants, into his boots. It was cold and gritty against his back, but Tuck laughed regardless. He pushed himself into a seated position before reaching up with a muddy hand to scratch his jaw, all the while eyeing Heidi. Tuck rolled to his feet before reaching down to retrieve Herryk.
The draugr was chuckling, and soon enough Tuck was too.
<So feisty.>
Innit she? ******** like it when I'm dirty," he laughed an instant before he lunged towards her, brandishing Herryk across his chest so the broad side of the axe would come into contact with Heidi.

"Mmmaybe you're right. A little," Heidi teased, blowing a quick kiss in Tuck's direction before he came at her. She tried to get away only for one of her boots to sink into the mud and temporarily cement her in place. Heidi took the hit with as little complaint as she could manage, instead simply firing an arrow at Tuck while he was still close to her.
"Geeze. Either you've been holding back in the past or you've gotten way, way better lately." Either way Heidi did sound proud. Her boyfriend was awesome.

Tuck, distracted by Bix's commentary from the sidelines, had been mid-swing when the hunter called out. His attack went wide, but it was because he'd burst into laughter at the sight of Bix.
"You got a cheerleader. That ain't fair. I ain't got one."
Tuck paused.
"Second thought, don't really want one."
He chuckled.

Bix's suddenly arrival did startle her. How long had he been there?! "You really do walk like an elf. I didn't even hear you coming!" Heidi laughed. But he was right! Archer reputation! She couldn't just let Tuck win! Not that she was, but she needed to put up more fight. Heidi tugged and tugged while Tuck was distracted, finally reaching down to tug her laces loose and abandoning her boots. Sock-covered feet were harder to get stuck than shoes.
"You're beating up your cheerleader, that's why you don't get one," Heidi pointed out, sticking out her tongue before she shot an arrow at her boyfriend. "Why don't you want cheerleaders~?"

"Awww, come on now. This is fun!" Right? They were having fun. Well, Tuck was having fun. Maybe he shouldn't be having fun.
Naw, ******** it. He was having fun. Plus muddy, dirty Heidi was adorable Heidi.
He didn't put much force behind his next attack, Herryk's blade nothing more than a gentle love-bite against Heidi's hip.
"An' I get a*****e cheerleaders like Evan. You want to know why they call me Bubbles?"
Tuck paused.
"Maybe if you win, I'ma tell you."

"You just like seeing me wet and muddy." Heidi was only pretending. This was fun. She did enjoy a good spar; it got the blood pumping and it was pretty awesome exercise. Plus the banter was pretty great.
The tap to her hip had her squeaking and jumping away just as she had been about to hit him, making her arrow fly prematurely. It was pretty comical. The arrow itself was smaller than her usual arrows, like a piddly baby one that did hit Tuck dead on but barely felt like anything at all.
"If it's something that bothers you, you don't have to tell me..but...I gave you motivation to win your last match," she hummed thoughtfully. "Even if it means you'd be losing, I feel like it's only fair if you return the favor."

Tuck paused and narrowed his eyes at Heidi, looking thoughtful.

He liked where this was going.

Heidi was again reminded they had company and she immediately shut up, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment as she looked his way. "I HAIL FROM THE LAND OF SNOW AND OCEAN, BIX," she called out in protest. Okay, so it was the Ocean State and to be honest there really were other states with more ocean on its border, but this still worked. "I'm a professional snow walker." Again, not exactly true, but she could pretend.
When Tuck spoke up Heidi blushed more and cleared her throat, plucking at Matilda's string a couple times before firing another arrow at her boyfriend. "Uh..I dunno. What did you have in mind?"
