Daesat had given her the day off, and since she hadn’t been out hunting in a while, Xen had taken to going after some Ayrala. Her last few attempts had ended very badly for her, with two loses and only a single lucky win it seemed. However, it had not deterred her and she was going to make sure she was going to get three perfect wins this time around. No messing up, and she was going to be extra careful not to stay out to late again like last time. She’d almost lost her head on that one and the whole episode had earned her some bruising.
She knew she was close to not having to go out hunting that darn Ayrala anymore, a bit more training and she’d be going after some Kiandri dragons. Xenosa was looking forward to those quite a bit; she wanted more of a challenge than the Ayrala who’s only purpose was to fly around. Granted the Kiandri dragons were probably a bit more dangerous. Xen spotted her first prey and began a slow walk up to it, knives in hand and ready to strike. This was going to be a good kill, and one she did not intend on missing.
The first knife went flying out of her hand, she’d aimed for the wing and now it was pinned to the dragon’s side. The Ayrala gave a shriek of terror but Xenosa was already upon it, slicing its throat to silence it before it could warn the others. The blood spurted and the dragon gurgled but it was dead a few second later and the orb was all that remained. Xenosa chuckled and grabbed up her prize to store away, one down and two more to go. So far things were looking up.
