Evan had never met the guy who was supposed to be his opponent, but he supposed he would know him when he saw him. After all, how many other people would go walking through the wreckage of what might have, at one point, been a town looking for a fight?

/Me I do I will I wanna--is it playtime now?/ Gir asked eagerly, a warm and energetic presence buzzing in the back of his mind.

Soon, Evan replied. There was a rusted out car falling apart against a wall in plain view of the path back to Deus--and easy enough to spot what with the giant holes in many of the buildings--so Evan hopped onto the hood and settled in to wait for his opponent.

"Aa, nice, its like the old abandoned buildings locations they always film in," Milo couldn't help but chuckle to himself when he found himself at the designated location. It was totally like the one place they always used in both of the series (besides the beach... and the exterior office place.. the quarry... the forest....) Ruined buildings - probably filled with oddly placed boxes, forgotten pillars, tarps and odds and ends - and a random beat up car which his opponent seemed to seated upon at the moment.

The brunette stopped a few feet from Evan, his stance relaxed with his hands shoved into his pants pockets. He probably couldn't look intimidating if he tried really, not with his Hunter coat being all nice and shiny (this being like the first time he got to wear it for anything decent) and his lean frame; at least he wasn't glowing blue anymore, that had finally faded to nothing. So, the least he could do was have a friendly air about him, more so with raising a hand with a small curt little wave. "Yo, I'm Milo Hale, howzit?" 'cause of course he didn't know the other guy either. He was doing a terrible job with meeting people.

In the back of his mind, he could hear Koume scoff at him. If she had a physical form, he'd imagine her sitting on the sidelines simply filing her nails.

It was kind of weird, Evan thought, that so many Hunters were people that looked like they would blow away in a strong wind or snap in half with a harsh word. Well, he supposed that was why they all had weapons and a measure of invulnerability. Still, he couldn't help but feel like his size gave him an unfair advantage, especially with this kid looking like he had just stepped out of the pod.

Evan smiled at Milo as he slid off of the car, nodding a greeting of his own. "Evan Roberts. Nice to meet you." Not one to draw out small talk, his weapon flickered into existence in his hand, and just like that he was set to go. "You ready?"

It was true, Evan did seem to have a bigger frame than him but the nineteen year old knew enough about superheros - not just of the Japanese variety - that it didn't always determine the outcome of the fight from the get go. Really, most of what was stacking against him was his inexperience, but again... first episode of several Super Sentai episode, the rookies came out on top. Probably wasn't going to get the aid of a really cool robot though.

But he did have Koume's naginata, which he drew once he saw Evan's really awesome looking sword. His hand gripped the naginata tightly, there was still a grin on his face, "Oh yeah, let's have some fun." His hands shifted a little, to allow him to swing the bladed edge in an elegant circle before he ended in a very Ryu Ranger-esc pose.

Evan choked back a laugh at Milo's dramatic pose. Someone had seen way too many bad action movies, or something. Still, his smile wasn't unkind as he said, "That's a good way to get your arm cut off." He proceeded to demonstrate, slashing at the target Milo all but offered up to him.

It probably was a good way to lose his arm, and in normal circumstances he probably would have or something just as serious but those fear shields or whatever seemed to be holding up and pretty well. It stung like a b***h though, causing him to hiss and pull his hand quickly back, returning to the grip on the handle of his pole arm and hop back in step.

< Don't leave yourself so open, bakayaro > Koume Shizuka hissed in the back of his mind, clearly not pleased with his rookie mistake.

Milo backed himself up another step, bracing himself really, and spun the blade around from behind his back, aiming for Evan's middle. "Good first lesson," he found himself chuckling despite his arm still tingling, "Haven't had a chance to fight yet."

After having recovered her shirt, Evan was now on to returning the favor for her friend. The other guy he was fighting was quite the looker too- she didn't mind watching them romp around. Even if the town was a little scary.

"OY EVAN YOU CALL THAT A HIT? MY GRANDMA COULD HIT HARDER THAN THAT, GOOD LOOKIN'!!" Just some friendly encouragement from the local stripper.

The breath left Evan in a rush as Milo's weapon hit him in the stomach. "Well," he wheezed, "you'll get plenty of chances, around here." He swung at Milo, but was distracted from the follow-through by Chel yelling at him.

Evan shot her a wink over his shoulder. "Your grandma must be some kind of badass, then, Powder Puff."

Chel was distracting, a sudden loud voice in the quiet of the abandoned town, there was no doubt but Milo managed to get himself out of the way enough from Evan's next swing that only a small bit of that nasty looking sword managed to clip him. He nearly tripped himself though, hopefully his opponent didn't get a chance to catch that little blunder and managed to catch himself from falling completely over by planting Koume's naginata on the ground. He might watch a lot of action shows, but it wasn't like he was trained to fight.

"Your girlfriend?" Milo teased, pushing forward to try and take advantage of Evan's distraction with the butt end of his staff, swinging keychain and all. "She's cute."

Try as he might, Evan couldn't shake the image of Chel half-naked and covered in mud. It was a most welcome memory, but this was neither the time nor the place for it. He was drawn back to the present as Milo's weapon struck him, and he swung in almost instinctive retaliation.

"Nah," Evan insisted. "She's not mine. Not bad to look at, though, you know?"

Chel only caught bits and pieces of the conversation- hard to tell when they were fighting like that. "He wishes I was his girlfriend!" A little wave went to Milo. "Single, babe!"

Just in case Milo was interested.

Milo attempted to raise the shaft of the naginata up to block a majority of the weapon aimed at maiming him, it worked for the most part but still some of those teeth managed their way past and into his side earning a nice big wince and the brunette pushed to one side. If he had a better sense in a fight, he might have used the force that swayed him to his advantage and use it but he wasn't. So, he had to stagger, stop, regain his hold on Koume, lunge and then swing again; hopefully all while looking like he knew what he was doing.

But hey, he was getting some good news along the way (and confirmed), not that his mind should be wandering to such places. But still, he had caught glimpses of Chel out of the corner of his eye and he did have to agree that she looked pretty cute. "Sweet," he grinned, shooting another glance at the pink haired girl in question.

< Are.. you checking out a girl in the middle of a FIGHT? >

"Still a lucky guy to have a cutie like that cheerin' you on, ya." All he got was a rather annoyed girl in his head at the moment who seemed none too pleased, muttering off and on. He caught something along the lines of regretting life decisions.

"Yeah, I do," Evan shot back over his shoulder, only a little teasingly. "Every night, and twice on Sundays." He turned back to Milo, and waggled his eyebrows in an amiritebro kind of way. His lack of focus cost him, though, and he wasn't able to move completely out of the way of the spear. It took him high in the shoulder, and he used the momentum to spin to Milo's side, taking the opportunity to clip him with his sword.

"Guess so," Evan agreed with Milo, smirking as he caught the look he gave Chel. "I could introduce you two later, if you want. She's a Sun, too."
