After summoning Nuru to his hands Al decided to charge straight into battle... and then completely missed. He wasn't even close.

Feng watched the hit blow right past him at raised his brows. He was worried about being in this tournament, but if he could breeze by the whole thing with every blow missing like that he'd be golden. He summoned Shang and swung the massive head of the meteor hammer at his opponent. HP: 40/40 DMG: 5

Feng got a distinctive glare from the crowd. One belonging to a strawberry blonde hunter who looked way angrier than she should have.

Al was not sure who that hunter in the crowd was, but they were apparently cheering for him. That was all he needed to know. He took that last hit pretty hard but came back with a powerful upswing aimed at their chin.

Feng's face fell in horror as he heard a familiar voice. Ami was watching his fight. Ami was going to watch him fail, and she was going to relish in it.
His next swing was significantly less impressive than his first.

Al swung back, matching in ferocity to the attack used against him. It was not earth shattering, but it was enough to keep him going.

This wasn't... so bad? Really? He thought he was going to get beat up a lot worse than this. This was almost... enjoyable.
Until he tripped over his own big feet and went sprawling in the dirt of the training grounds. He groaned pathetically, but hey, his weapon still his Al, so that was something.

Hit for hit, Al determinedly followed force with equal force. Was he biding his time? No one knew as Nuru swung down on the fallen enemy. Effectively kicking Feng while he was already down. Al didn't mind. In fact, he was smiling now? Creepy.

Al was winded by the hit and could not reciprocate this time. He was left too stung and instead pouty faced at Feng.

Feng furrowed his brows at Al and shook his head. No! You dont get to pout after kicking a man while he's down! Instead of backing down Feng lunged forward with an even strong attack, grunting with the effort.

Al smacked Feng repeatedly with his staff in desperation. Probably a good thing no mud pit was involved in this or it would have been flailed everywhere.

"Ow, whoa ow," Feng backed up holding up his arms to feng of the flailing attack. Getting his weapon to move the way he wanted to under the barrage of attacks took more dexterity than Feng possessed, but he still managed to do some damage.

Al managed to do some damage right back in sheer frenzied desperation. It wasn't much, but it was something and that kept him going.
