Khrisma danced out from between two enormous jutting rocks. It was the end of spring and the air was so fresh, carrying along with it the scent of new growth. Everything was so alive and fresh, and it was her favorite time of year. She spent as much time as possible enjoying it.
She was always cheerful and happy-go-lucky; she loved where she lived up with the sharp, steep mountainside cliffs. The wind blew with gusto and she could play in it as she jumped from cliff to cliff, but she could also easily take shelter in one of the many valleys and crevasses.
Today she was not in the mood to have the wind steal away her warmth and tousle her fur. Instead, she was following a path that her cloven hooves had traveled many times before. Today, she wanted to see the springtime flowers, and she was headed to her favorite grassy meadow. The crystal clear river that wound around the mountain fed into a small valley, and allowed the area around to thrive. Trees grew tall, sheltered from the cold and the wind, grass covered the ground, and all sorts of flowery vines crawled throughout. Birds sang, butterflies fluttered from flower to flower, and Khrisma loved how much of a contrast the valley made with the barren rocks above. "The best of both worlds!" she thought, smiling. Her pace quickened in excitement, as she neared her destination. The path changed from rocky to grassy, and she turned the corner into the valley.

Hina felt a chilly breeze caress her golden hair as the sun's warmth wasn't yet enough to deter the wind's cold. She shivered briefly while strolling along a rocky path, and strengthened her resolve to go back down the mountain.
Why she had decided to leave the comfort of the sun and the beautiful greens of the valley, she could not remember; the cold, dark greys of the rocky mountain with little sign of the emerald life that thrived below caused discomfort in her heart. Hina had been told stories of dark fallen that lurked in the darkest parts of the cavernous homes of the mountains, and a ripple of anxiety caused her to increase her speed as she trotted along the path. With each step she took, Hina let out a breath of relief as the pit of fear began to unknot in her stomach.
As she rounded a corner, she caught sight of what looked like a flowing yellow wing. Hina stopped for a moment to think. The wing was too big to be from a butterfly, and it didn't look malicious in any way. After a moment she continued on, but Hina decided to go right and off the path. Her obi, though, had a different idea, and managed to snag on a bush Hina thought she could squeeze by. She was stuck, and her fear reared its ugly head back up.
OOC: I'm so sorry about the slow reply D :

XD Seems the slowness was partly my fault; you totally have tildes, not hyphens, in your name!
Khrisma heard some sort of commotion behind her. It sounded like something was shaking a tree, or hitting branches together. Curious to see what it was, she turned around and retraced her steps. She watched the ground as she walked and noticed a set of hooves enter her field of vision just before she ran right into their owner. Khrisma lifted her head and looked into the eyes of a pretty, golden-haired mare. She chortled and pranced around, kicking up her heels. Oh, how lucky! Someone to play with! she thought.
She calmed down enough to stop prancing and realized the mare seemed to be unhappy in some way. She studied the situation and finally realized the mare had gotten herself stuck in the tree. She went over, tail ribbon bobbing, and started to pull the mare free from the branches. "There, that's better!" she declared, as the last of the cloth came free.
"Come on," Khrisma said, as she turned and walked back into the grassy valley. She peered over her shoulder, watching to see whether the mare would follow.
