With the fluctuating feelings of wanting to make more and more friends, have more human interaction and the need to stop doing so, Isha found himself at a bizarre standstill. He sat on his bed, gazing forward, fighting an internal battle of what exactly he could do, until his eyes settled on his Pathfinder guide collection that seemed to be gathering dust up on his shelf. When was even the last time he had bothered to open one one of the books in the first place..
Oh.. Right. It was right before he was suddenly whisked away from Baltimore, and had to head over here, to Destiny City. He had just created a campaign too.. It was going to be so awesome, filled with all sorts of fun things (atleast partially inspired by that game "Last of Us"), and so many things were going to go down.
And yet.. He just couldn't start it, for he was taken from his safe little Isha-cave in their old home, and thrust into this large, empty room.
But now, he had time! He had time to actually get this game up and started! Now.. Just the motivation to get up and move about to actually post the game on Paizo.
Excitingly, it took only a few hours to get everything arranged and set up so that players could go and sign up, if they were interested! He even had set up a wiki beforehand, for anyone who had more questions about it! Now.. to Post. Welcome to the long past due return of Gaṛhanēvālā! I've been gone for quite some time (okay, maybe a few months), but I'm back, with a whole new story and game to offer you! The details can be found below (though only the basics), and if you are interested, I'd love to get an IM from you. My IM for any client is "garhanevala".
Details for the Campaign: * We will be using the 3.5 Rules, as well as modifications which I will tell you later. * All Core, Uncommon, and Featured Races can be used. *Near any class can be used. You will have to give a reason to which class, or if you're not sure, we can work together. * The setting is a futuristic, apocalyptic world, where zombies have come and gone, but the race of humans have dwindled down, where as other races have come from all over to try to take over planet Earth while it is weak. More information is available via the link provided below, to the wiki page. * A goal will be specified later, further details will come later.
If you're interested, go ahead and hit me up on AIM! Now.. Time to see if anyone would bite..
Asahi Kumoru I figured Ian can go ahead and initiate an IM conversation with Isha, about the campaign listed, and it can go from there!

Ian's middle finger hovered over the scroll wheel of his mouse, and his chin rested on the heel of his other hand. It was not all that late, but Ian was fairly sure he was getting sick and so felt pretty tired anyway. His body screamed to go to sleep, but, naturally, the glow of the internet held him transfixed instead.
He was pretty sure he had seen games from this garhanevala in the past, but had never participated in them himself. Ian had really not done a whole lot of online gaming just yet, but he badly wanted to. Some craving had struck recently, which was probably what was keeping him on the forum, scrolling through open and recruiting games.
His index finger clicked the button to open the link, and his red eyes scanned the text. For all that Ian thought he wanted a fantasy game, something about the futuristic apocalypse intrigued him in a morbid sort of way: what if he would be one of the ones in the real world to bring about the apocalypse, or fight against it, with his knightly powers? Mars was a war god after all....
He blinked and shook his head, then went to send a message to the owner of the game as requested:ParsleySage> Hello! ParsleySage> Do you still have room in your future apocalypse game?

So far, Isha had received four replies to his game, which was certainly exciting, especially as it had only gone up a few minutes ago! Most were sent via message on the web site, which he took time to answer thoroughly. It looked, so far, that the party would be pretty balanced, and he almost hoped it would stay that way. The more balanced the party was, the more things he could through at them without having to make many adjustments so that they would not die so quickly.
It was getting pretty late, and it seemed that, for now, that was to be the end of the interest for his campaign for the night. Not that he was tired, of course, but soon enough, he'd have to return to school, finally, and go back to a normal schedule.
Ping!
As soon as he had begun to shut down all of the links and tabs he had opened on his laptop, his little Trillian chat rang out in his otherwise silent room. The little noise simply brought a smile to his face as he clicked onto the tab. In all honesty, he really appreciated anyone who messaged him. It seemed like more and more the people he normally played with on various sites began to think he was boring. Isha wouldn't accept that, not anymore! Gaṛhanevala> Hello there ParsleySage! Yeah, of course there's still room! Gaṛhanevala> Well, not of course, but we do have some room left! Gaṛhanevala> Quick question though, what kind of character are you thinking about having? Did you need some suggestions or anything? Gaṛhanevala> I'll also have to ask your timezone, since, you know, it's online and what not, and I have people from other countries that would be joining us as well!

Ian pushed his glasses up his nose and scanned the chat messages. ParsleySage> I've mostly done fantasy games before so I guess suggestions would be cool? ParsleySage> I usually end up playing clerics in those, though. I don't mind being healer/support character ParsleySage> wisdom class, whatever He glanced at the clock and laughed weakly at himself. Then sneezed into his elbow.ParsleySage> I'm in the same timezone as Destiny City but I tend to tsay up later than is strictly wise. ParsleySage> *stay ParsleySage> What other characters are there in the party so far? If you know? I can just fill in whatever, I guess? Replies out, the boy snatched up another tissue and blew his nose while he awaited more information.

Gaṛhanevala> We'll see about you being a cleric! I have a few other's I'm looking at, but most of them are either Healers or straight up fighters. Maybe you could be someone with more.. Offensive magic? Unless you have your heart set on being a cleric.
With all of his ventures taking place during nighttime, and the fact that he seemed to always be awake anyway, there wasn't really any problems with time zones. But... But wait, did he really say what he thought he said?
Gaṛhanevala> Wait, wait, you're in Destiny City? East Coast USA Destiny City? The one with DSU? That one? Gaṛhanevala> Aaaah! If that's the case, then I think I can say I live there too! :D What a tiny world this is!

ParsleySage> Oh, anything is fine if you need me to fill in! ParsleySage> I could do like a sorcerer thing? Or wahtever the post apocalyptic spontanous caster class is? He glanced over to his shelf, staring at the titles in the half-light before deciding that it would probably be easier to just get up and look. Ian worked his feet into the pair of slippers under his chair, and walked over to his books. Most of his gaming library was for fantasy settings, but he grabbed his d20 Modern book and carried it back over to the desk.
Off came the slippers again, and he pulled his feet up onto the chair and wrapped up in a blanket before opening the book to the character classes.
More messages had appeared in the chat.ParsleySage> Yeah, that Destiny City. That's funny! Ian wanted to ask more questions - so the game would wait for him if he were to be injured by a monster? Or if he had ... other nightly obligations to see to? But then with the size of the city, it was not too likely that this one particular person online would just happen to be one of the other fighters in the strange interplanetary war, right?
So instead, Ian kept the conversation on topic.ParsleySage> Do you know yet what night we'll be playing? ParsleySage> Or nights?

He went back to talking about the game? Noo, No, he wanted to talk more about Destiny City.. Maybe he was kinda like him.. It would be awesome to talk anonymously about things like this.. It couldn't hurt to mention it right? But first, business.
Gaṛhanevala> The way it works, you would be the Dedicated Hero, you know, Maybe an Academic profession as well. Ooh, or Maybe a Techie.. But that's more Intelligence than anything else. Just come up with an idea, and I'll tell you whether or not it'll fly. I'm pretty liberal when it comes to most things in this campaign. Though the magic isn't quite mentioned in the Modern book too much, go to Starter game guide book, and tell me what you come up with.
Now it was time to get to the more interesting part! Not that this wasn't interesting! He loved his games but it must be fate that a person in his very own city was contacting him.
Gaṛhanevala> I think playing at night would be the best thing. As you know that this city is insane at night so.. Being indoors is best. I was thinking maybe Thursdays? Or maybe Sunday Nights? Gaṛhanevala> You know what I'm talking about, right? Those news reports and what not? It's insane and scary!

ParsleySage> Ooh okay, that works. I'll need some time to think about it but I'll get back to you with an idea or two tomorrow or something? Part of him wanted to try to create a character like some idealized version of his knight self, with all the bravery that Ian felt he himself lacked. And maybe a real sword instead of a feather duster.
The rest of him worried that this other person, whoever he was, would figure him out somehow if he did that. Somehow.
More messages appeared, discussing the goings-on in the city, and Ian's fingers hovered over the keys of his keyboard as he tried to decide how to respond. Of course anyone would know about the news reports - the red-eyed boy certainly had even before he had realized he was a knight. It would be safe to talk of that much, at least.ParsleySage> Yeah, my mom freaks out if I'm out past dark. ParsleySage> Even though that's what like 5:30 now? ParsleySage> Sunday night works for me, though, at least for this semester. ParsleySage> I can let you know for next semester after I sign up for classes this coming week. The idea of having an online friend so close did interest Ian, at least. Perhaps if he and this Garhanevala did become friends through apocalyptic roleplay online, they could meet in a coffee shop sometime and commiserate on their real life apocalypse, too.

Gaṛhanevala> Yeah, sure! That works just fine! It is getting kind of late, so I wouldn't want to keep you up all night if you are busy tomorrow. A small chuckle emerged from Isha, if anything, sounding a bit bitter about the mention of his mother. His own mother hadn't even talked to him in the past week. Same with the rest of his family, even though they all lived in the same house... The places was simply starting to feel like a box that he was trapped in, that he had to escape. Not that he could tell his new IM chat partner this.
Gaṛhanevala> Yeah, night falls so quickly now, and thanks for keeping me posted! I'm probably online.. Maybe 90% of the time I'm awake, whether mobile or actually at a computer, so if you have any questions, or are interested in something, let me know, and I'll responds as soon as I can! The idea of having an Online Friend he could meet offline at some point crossed his mind as well.. But something of the sort.. It couldn't happen, not just yet. With his defection nearing ever so closer, he could not allow himself to make any more new friends. After all.. If they were to meet now, they would not be able to recognize him later. That was the brilliant thing about the internet. Anonymity was amazing here, and you could only reveal yourself if you truly wanted to.

Ian had cultivated some online friendships, himself, but most of them were with people too far away to meet in person easily. Though once he had discovered after the fact that one of his online chess opponents had been in the same coffee shop during one of their games. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth for a moment, then a tickle in his sinuses caused him to sneeze. And, the metaphorical floodgates opened thusly, it took the red-haired boy several tissues to get the situation under control.
Awesome, so he was getting sick.ParsleySage> I don't think I'll be busy tomorrow. Getting a cold. ParsleySage> That said, I should get to bed. ParsleySage> But I'll probably be around tomorrow to work on a character concept between bowls of soup. ParsleySage> I'll read over your wiki and let you know if I have any questions He tossed his rulebook over onto his bed to skim a few things before he actually fell asleep, then sniffled with resignation into his sleeve.ParsleySage> Glad we could chat. Good night!

Gaṛhanevala> Ick.. Yeah, I think it would be best for you to head off to bed! Sleep is a miracle worker for when You're sick, I'd like to think! Gaṛhanevala> Just send me a message when you're all done! I can go ahead and look it over, and we can work on it together when you are feeling up for it, alrighty? Sleep well, Sage!
Though Isha did want to stay up later, he knew it probably would be best for him to finally get going of to bed. His normal bed time was slowly becoming later and later, and if he were to eventually get back to his schooling, he'd have to finally readjust himself to going to bed at atleast a semi-decent hour.
His computer closed after one last glimpse at his paizo inbox, and he could not help but smile to himself as he finally got ready for bed. If everything worked out like he wanted, he might even have a right away after his switch, A pre-established relationship. How exciting was that!
Asahi Kumoru And that's a fin for me! Once Avior Goes DMC, I'll go ahead and poke you for another RP!
