My cat Reno is acting weird. I think something's wrong with him. But the only evidence I can offer is that he's been very vocal and grumpy today.

Last night he tried to get me up to fill the food dish that ran out early. I ignored him until I got up, refilled the food and went about my morning. He acted perfectly normal up until the point where he was sitting on the arm of the couch and my sister moved in toward us to get something from me, standing almost flush up against him, in his bubble. He yowled and growled and expressed his unhappiness of his invaded bubble. He didn't hiss or try to get away though like he normally would. D: After that, nothing unusual.

Tonight just a few minutes ago he climbed into my lap for some cuddles, only stayed a minute and jumped off. Then I hear growling. I didn't know who it was considering I have 3 cats and they growl and annoy each other all the time. But I turned off the tv, turned on the lights and stared after Reno, who was meandering the living room looking for a comfy spot and it turns out he was the one growling. Little growls.

I have the impression he's uncomfortable. He doesn't seem to be nursing anything and when I hold and poke at him I don't get any adverse reaction.. I can't check the litterbox because all three use it. I think he's eating all right, especially considering he keeps begging for scraps.

Any ideas? Could it be he's just grumpy? I'm wondering if maybe he's constipated or having hairball issues. I did give him hairball treats today.. I don't wanna do anything without knowing what it is though. And I can't even make a vet appointment until Monday. >:

Update: I've come to the conclusion the poor baby's constipated. I've noticed he lifts a leg while he growls... I can't get to the store for stuff I know that would help, like pumpkin or wet cat food... so I poured olive oil in his dry food, a few flakes of oatmeal and a pinch of metamucil.. 'cause I read those were alright. Also left him with a bit of milk along with a bowl of water.

Is he peeing and pooping normally? I would take him to the vet just to be sure. My Mister did something similar and he wasnt constipated, he had a horrible case of cyrstals in his bladder.

Is he boot scooting at all?
