Personality:
Vale was once a very angry and selfish person. Some remnants of those traits exist within him, but he fights them off as much as he can, constantly warring with himself, but not only about that situation. He is now a calm, patient person, and believes in complete peace instead of being the violent boy he once was, though he has been unsure of himself for some time. He has struggled with depression, as well as a lack of faith in himself or hope for his future, though he has been working toward strengthening his mind against such things. Though he may not treat himself as nicely as he should, he holds his true friends to the greatest heights in his mind, and is willing to defend them against anything, even if, in the end, he must break his vow of pacifism.

Vale was born and raised in Gear Town, and spent his childhood running around town with his few friends. In his adolescent years, he gained a reputation as a very angry person who would pick a fight at a moment's notice, over even the most trivial matters. This disposition faded, however, when his best friend was hospitalized. When she passed away, he made several vows to himself, including one to never fight anyone again. In the years since, he has struggled with depression while taking a job at a downtown Accessory and Armor shop simply for the purpose of surviving. When not working, he still spends time in town with his friends. However, lately he has been remembering the day of the meteor shower they saw when they were small children, and having nightmares of a day that the sky turned black. Little is known of Alfador's past; he was separated from his family at a young age by unknown means, and most of his young life was spent roaming around, fighting for shelter and scraping for food. Society seemed unkind and rotten to the core in his eyes, from the way he was treated in his homeless years. He wished more than anything to clean up the world and make it a better place, but this seemed unattainable - until he was found by the Fellowship.
