It's a shining grin full of hope... This is a topic that is happening to be very high on the matters of importance to those who care about what whatabouts of the MarketPlace.
As occurred with the previous release of Flynn's Booty, it inflated the good majority, if not all, of the MarketPlace listings. Many of you, in-the-know or not, are likely to have realised this if you happened to sell any of your items through that method.
Now, as a good deal of you are likely to know, Flynn's Booty has once again returned. Many speculated that the '03 recolours were intended to slightly decrease the amount of Gold floating around, but with this recent recovery, it's being questioned.
The mere concept of Flynn's Booty is "we're going to give you money", and unlike other RIGs, is is extremely straightforward and attracting. The downside of this, however, is that it will continuously increase the amount of GaiaGold that is present within the community of Gaians, simply because it's literally being given away to those who want it enough to either pay for it with their own money through the GaiaCash system, or make a gamble and spend GaiaGold to earn GaiaGold.
The only thing that we know, is that there is a minimum of a 100mil increase in the overall amount of Gold present in this society.
I'm curious on how you all view Flynn's Booty; whether it be a negative or positive viewpoint matters not. Feel free to share whatever you've to say. ... Or it could be a look of somber silence struggling with fear...

I did believe that the '03 recolours were meant to create a sink in the amount of present Gold, but this action was extremely contradictory. ... Or it could be a look of somber silence struggling with fear...

Waitwait, what's this about spending gold to get gold? Is this that thing that was released at barton boutique or am I thinking of something else?
Anyway...I'm not really sure what to think of this. On one hand I think that there should be more gold floating around everywhere, but this certainly isn't the solution, it's just making a select few rich.

I have a hate/love thing going on for it.
Love it because it helps give me gold, especially when I don't get time to play zOMG or hunt/sell game items. I do the cash tree and collect and then use it for that.
Hate it because it's not really helping anything. Some time ago I think someone (either gaia admin or normal gaia..don't remember) said that they was trying to make items in the MP more available or easier to get. Like the wings that cost sooo much would eventually be possible to get. But now i don't think they really care about it. They give the Fynn thing just to tease Gaians that they still care but they don't really. Maybe a few do but really gaia becoming more in love with money. They advertize cash items when you click like on My Gaia (the pop up is annoying). They have items that are being recolored or just reintroduced in the cash shop being alot more expensive then it is and thus making the MP item for it (and others) go higher. If they was trying to make it reduce they are going about it all wrong. Because of these things people can't get items and trying different things to get it. Some items that use to be very low is now really high because people are desperate to get gold. Like the January crown use to be 10k and nows its like 50k. Saw few items that was lower then that and now are in the hundreds.
Um so yeah...

It's a shining grin full of hope... Essentially, Flynn's Booty is a RIG that directly grants GaiaGold as opposed to items, with its largest prize being one hundred million GaiaGold [of which can (and will) be granted to multiple people].
It's been sold majorly on the Cash Shop, with a few Club Verge exclusive versions existing as well, and also users have, inevitably, been selling them on the MarketPlace. ... Or it could be a look of somber silence struggling with fear...

Shits ridiculous.
Comet Breaker, which used to cost just under 1 mil on the marketplace, has skyrocketed to 2.5 mil.
And Limit Breaker's marketplace price increased from like 200k to around 500k.
I mean, I don't hate it Flynn's Booty, but it seems like it'll be hard as hell to get items you want now, as it's hard enough already to get a fair amount of gold without selling things via the marketplace. neutral

As a result of Flynn's Booty, the amount of GaiaGold that exists has been increasing massively, forcing items to raise in price to keep on par with the influx of currency. In the end, while it did provide a few people with sizeable amounts of Gold, it majorly just broke the MarketPlace system. ... Or it could be a look of somber silence struggling with fear...

It's all negative, quite honestly. All thoughts on it, for me, are negative.
Gaia has claimed on multiple occasions they were coming out with other gold sinks. They're pushing too much gold into the system!
They cannot just keep pushing people to start buying cash.
It's just not going to happen, honestly.
Flynn's booty needs to be off and gone - I'm tired of it.
Having a pretty avatar is great, and all, but I want don't want Gaia in an economic crisis. This ridiculous.
It's the new Gaia CEO.
He's set a giant quota for Narumi(who has been the object for hate recently because of all the cash pushing), and she has to meet that. I feel bad for her, but what are they to do?
I have people I want to keep in contact with when they milk their money from Gaia and shut it down - that's what it looks like at this point.

This is the worst thing that could happen to Gaia today. It undermines Uncle Kenny's efforts for the gold sink. I think Narumi Misuhara should be taken out back and given 100 lashes with a whip of fire

Damn, I return after a couple of months, and now everything's in the billions. Gold is utterly useless now, which I'm guessing was the intent from the beginning. confused
