The cloaked man with the dark blue hair had been tracking and following after the halfbreed for some time now, getting to know where he went, how he spent his days, and where best to strike. It seemed that the boy was the same now as he had ever been, a skittish, unfriendly creature that didn't allow anyone close for long. Those that did get close were met with barred teeth and suspicion and it was one of those things that was completely understandable but it wasn't as though he'd been sent this far to be sympathetic. The little halfbreed had been wandering around on his own for long enough, it was time he went back home the boss had said.

The man took his weapon from where it hung on his back, dumping a vial of poison on the tip of the weapon, then started forward quickly. Once he was close enough to his target he drew back and thrust his spear toward the boy's leg. He couldn't kill him, that wasn't on the agenda, but he could see about wounding him, making sure he couldn't run away by crippling his leg, and he could use poison that would slow him down and make his target groggy. That way dragging him from the wilds of Tale back to Zena where Oulixes belonged and where his reward was waiting.

Oulixes attacks Biroki.

It was an attack that Oulixes never saw coming and because he never saw it coming he wasn't prepared at all for it. As the man's lance buried itself into the meaty part of his leg a scream was torn from his lips and he instantly went down in a heap, pain flooding his system along with adrenaline that was helpful for carrying the poison through his system rather swiftly. His hand went for one of his swords, drawing it and swung it clumsily at the man who had attacked him but with little luck. The poison was doing its job well, making him feel a bit slower then normal and as though his head was filled with cotton.

Shaking it from side to side he tried to clear it, lifting his gaze to try to spot who was attacking him, for a moment wondering if it was someone from Oba, when he spotted a man he knew only too well, "Ahhh... you..." It was Hesutu, his father's right hand man, one he always sent to do his dirty work when he didn't have the time to handle it himself, "Come to kill me on that b*****d's behalf I see? You always were a loyal dog... weren't you...?" He gasped out, trying to rely on anger instead of allowing the fear he really felt to show.

Oulixes attempts to dodge.

Oulixes wasn't really sure which was worse, the idea of being killed by Hesutu or the idea of being brought back to his father. It wasn't something that he could really think on too long though as the man brought the butt end of his spear down, cracking it against the fallen swordsman's temple, and knocked him out. He collapsed to the ground, dropping the one sword he'd managed to draw, and didn't move anymore. Aside from the slight rise and fall of his chest it was impossible to tell that he was still alive given how still he'd gone but the lancer Hesutu knew better.

The man cleaned off his lance, returned it to its spot on his back, took the boy's weapons and pack from him, hanging the swords at his own hips, put the pack over his shoulder, and then reached down to get the boy... and as he did so the Sprite the boy called Gnat flew at Hesutu, swinging at him and yanking on his hair. He starred down at the angry Sprite before reaching out to catch hold of her, stuffing her into a small pouch hanging on his side, "Stay in there little bug." He told her, scooped up Oulixes, tossed the boy over his shoulder, and headed back in the direction he'd come from. Time to go home and collect his earnings.
