Zovia wasn't usually found by the beach, except for one thing: when she was dumping treasure into her trove. Her father had taught her that it was the safest place for her jewels and gold, a cove by the sea... However, someone was there! A frown making its way onto her face, Zovia slid out of view. Herla did not belong on the beach when she had to stow her treasures, and what was normally a wonderful time for her quickly became sour.
But she noticed something when she peered out, bundles not like her own small one, strewn about the beach near some weird wood thing. Could it be this was another herla with their own treasure stash? Out in the open? No matter what was in the bundles, it had to be good! The only herla she knew who had bad bundles was her sister, with her bags of bones and feathers.
Creeping along, she went as stealthy as she could, her tail low and swaying slowly. The beach offered little cover, but the herla who owned the precious bundles seemed otherwise preoccupied... she wouldn't miss just one! Zovia gripped one between her teeth, feeling weight of treasure and small jingles. What luck, it really was treasure! What seemed to be the start of a bad day would end great for the great Thief, Rumanzovia Bloodstone!
Since her own cave was nearby, all she had to do was make it there undetected, and she'd have twice as much treasure today. A small grin blossomed on her face, and she began her retreat to her treasure cave. With seemingly no one noticing.
