User Image This was not a good day!

Anesidora, or popularly known as Nessie, was having a horrible day. First, she had knocked over a vase in the house and upset her cousin, Korbin, by doing so. Her younger cousin had just scowled at her as if she had banged two pots together. Nessie always knew Korbin had hearing issues, the young woman hated loud noises! But, it wasn't like Nessie had tried to upset her...

And then, after than, Nessie had tried to control her weather powers. She had tried to help Korbin water her plants by summoning rain, and instead just created a horrific storm that tore up her cousin's flowers. So... again, she had upset Korbin. It seemed the girl hated her, and probably for good reason. Why could Kali control his powers but she couldn't?! It was deeply frustrating!

Later that day she had even scared a poor cat and gotten scratched because of it... Today was just not her day. November, her "master", wasn't home either! So Anesidora was mostly alone today. Well, she could visit Kalila, the weird, undead kitten-noodle she had recently made friends with. Kalila wasn't affected by her curse, and she'd probably like the company.... but where was the stray? That was the problem! Kalila lived in the streets, and never was in one place at the time.

"Last time she was by the park..." She absently muttered to herself. Nessie hated being out in public, though. The park meant kids, and that meant the possibility of her shadow touching them. Oh deities, she didn't even want to think about frightening children.... that was a horrible thing to worry about. Ugh.... Maybe she should just avoid looking for Kalila and just explore. That didn't seem too bad, and she was a curious woman. It'd be nice to just walk. She'd need to stick to the alleys, though. That wasn't too horrid, though.... seeing as she was made with a built-in weapon. Aha.

So, with a swift turn on her heels, she slid into the alleys. Most people stayed away from them, so she doubted she'd bump into a person! She just... didn't want to touch anyone. It was hard enough to try and hug her cousins and attempt to avoid letting her shadow touch them... A stranger brushing by would probably touch her curse by accident.

Speaking of brushing by... The woman had turned far too quickly into another branching alley, and promptly bumped into a much taller figure. Terror and dread filled her heart as a sharp squeak left her throat. Her curse totally touched the stranger! Oh no! "I-I'm so sorry! Oh no, um, I... I um." I um?! Didn't she have anything better to say?! Well.... no, because what she saw was a male far bigger than her with the most frightening tails ever, and she was pretty sure her curse touched him.

Oh deities, why couldn't she be normal?

User Image Today was the day that something unexpected would happen!

It was dark and Okuri had gotten caught up in a storm trying to hold himself down. With his monsters low to the ground beside him he walked the alley's, thinking to himself about this new world that he had just awoken in not too long ago. He wandered more along the alley testing out the strength of the monsters that are a part of him, shooting one at a Dumpster."Oh crap" He said as the Dumpster flew down the alley. He was more powerful than he thought! Shooting the other monster at a wall, he knocked it over, watching it crumble down in front of his eyes. He began to grin. He loved this power. Hearing a girl scream, one of his monsters decided to take over and chase the poor thing. This wasn't good at all, he couldn't control it! He struggled to stop them, but it was too late. The girl was eventually dead, and every bit of her was devoured by the monster. He needed to control them or they could destroy the town.

Okuri continued to wander the alley's, finding small rodents tossing them up for the monsters to eat. "This might keep them satisfied"He mumbles to himself. He needed to get them to obey. He decided to turn around and go home, well the broken down building, until he found a good spot to stay during the nights. He started to trace his steps back home, not really wanting to scare anyone today just because he wanted to be lazy. He continued to walk down the alley's, kicking stones and watching them bounce around.

He suddenly felt lonely, he had no memory of the past. He wanted a friend. He wanted a mate, He wanted someone that wouldn't be scared, someone who will be there for him, someone that will make him happy. He walked slower, and was about to turn the corner when suddenly a small woman bumped into him."Are you okay?"He said, trying to help her out. She seemed to be really upset and freaked out. Is it him? What did he do wrong? He wasn't trying to be scary.

The girl stumbled slightly as the other spoke, mostly because she had lost her footing when she bumped into him. She literally leapt away when he attempted to help her, ears pinned back as her tail flicked up to defend her wings. No! He couldn't touch her! He might touch her shadows... and she wasn't going to let that happen, even if he had two scary looking tails. Her ears flipped, again, and perked up slightly when she realized that the male hadn't tried to murder her in the alley yet. He looked scary, and was much bigger, but he seemed genuinely concerned about her well being. Well. That must mean he was like her "master!"

November Must Come was her master, and she was an undead monster. She was a being with more than four limbs, and she was as big as a car. Nov had been her best friend, and apparently claimed Nessie as her pet, and was the sweetest thing in the entire world (well, not really, but Nessie was easily fooled). So, she knew first-hand that people who were scary in appearance were often kind.

His eyes were pretty, that was for sure. Strange, but pretty. Her brother had weirder eyes, to be honest. She noted the stitched mouth almost immediately, pity flickering inside her stomach. Oh, poor male. Hey! He had an orange nose, too! Wiggling her little nose, the petite woman decided promptly that she would stop staring at the strange male and actually speak.

"Oh, no no. I'm fine! I'm.... wait." They had touched. Why wasn't he panicked? Why wasn't he screaming in terror? Her ears flicked up straight, alert, and her tail twitched side to side as she peered at the male. Was he... special? Like Nov? Like her adopted uncle? Like Kalila? Did she find someone special again?

"Um. Are you... scared? Not of me! I mean, I... I... um." Her voice softened, obviously nervous as she realized she not only sounded crazy, but probably like an idiot. A gentle, worried expression flickered across her face and her markings glowed brighter, her shadow-curse twitching around her frame. The sky darkened, threatening another storm as her heart sped up into a nervous beat. "A-Are you okay?" She stammered, hands wringing together before she looked down, rain starting to sprinkle down as shame flooded her. Awesome. There she went again, looking like a weirdo.

All she wanted was to be normal, like everyone else...

As he tried to help the poor lady up onto her feet she leapt away from him. Was she worried? Is she scared? No, it's something else, but what? Looking down at the woman with curiosity, he thought to himself: "Her hair is gorgeous as are the shadows that flow from her" He looked away, believing he was being weird. He watched the lady look at him and watched as she wiggled her little nose. "That was the cutest thing I have ever seen!" He thought to himself. Being that he has just only been alive for a day. He listened to the little woman talk, stutter, and ask questions.

"I don't know the feeling of fear so I am not scared of anything." He said as he tilted his head."What is there to be scared of?" He said, looking at the lady and smiling. He said, looking at the lady and smiling. "Yes yes I am okay. But are you?" He came closer to the woman as a storm began to come through. "Oh no another storm is coming," He said, pointing to shelter not too far away. "Come with me?" He smiled.

She just stared. What was she supposed to do? He was viewing her, as she had viewed him, and it made her nervous. Her heart skipped as she realized that she was being analyzed, more nervous than she had before.... which meant... yup! The storm finally started in full effect, thunder and lightening crashing and rain pouring onto the two.

'I just want to be normal! Why did I have to go and do that?! Why?!' At least he didn't know she was the one making the storms... right? At least he didn't know she was a freak.

Her ears flicked up, flopping back down as rain forced the tiny little ears back against her head. He didn't feel fear. He hadn't felt her curse. He seemed fine, and even was trying to help her. Her hair had become soaked at this point, flopping into large red eyes. Still, she didn't move, not yet. She just stared, again. He hadn't been affected by the curse, and he seemed friendly. Her little tail wagged rapidly, her solid shadow's trailing behind her tail and clinging to the limb.

"Ah? What? Shelter?" She had seen where he pointed, but it was too late. The rain stopped. The clouds parted, and the sun shone down on the drenched pair. Shaking her head wildly to try and dry herself off (which failed, honestly), the girl's markings glowed brightly as she seemed to calm and the sun bore down upon her.

"No need!" She chirped, wings fluttering like a humming birds as she looked up at the taller male, almost having to tilt herself backwards to see him properly.

"I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine." Perfectly fine and now drenched to the bone. It didn't matter, though. Right? Because he hadn't felt her curse, and that was all she cared about!

As he looked at the cute little lady the weather began to calm down and the light broke through the clouds. He looked at her as the monsters flailed, getting pissed off at the weather.

"What is your name?" He asked as he stared into her beautiful eyes. She seemed to be happy! She didn't seem frightened by him. "Would you like to walk with me?" He asked thinking it might be a good idea. She seemed to be a really nice lady. He wanted to take her home to rest for a little bit. "Would you like to come home with me? Rest a bit and get to know one another?" He asked nervously coming closer as he tilted his head. "She is really cute" He thought to himself. She wasn't scared of him! Is she special too? He hoped so, he had monsters for tails! He couldn't be the only one who was different, could he?

As he questioned her name she flicked her head up to view him easier, having to tilt her head to flick wet bangs from her eyes. She was old enough to give her name, right? He was staring at her, and it unnerved the woman. She wasn't quite fond of it, mostly because staring often was met with disgust. People stared because she was a freak. She didn't want this strange man to view her this way, either. She opened her mouth to respond, closing it within seconds as she chose to flutter her wings nervously instead.

Words, use them!

"I'm Anesidora Indra, but most people call me Nessie. I... um, prefer Nessie." Her eyes raised, red orbs flickering as they examined his odd features. He looked frightening, but his eyes seemed kind. "Oh! What's your name?"

And then he asked about the walk and home. She stepped backwards, ears flicking against her head as she shook it. No way! She knew better than to just wander to a strangers home. Her liquid curse shivered, extending from her body and wrapping around her hips, prepared to lash out if the male even attempted to come closer. She was nervous, yes, but not afraid. She had been raised to be cautious of strangers, especially after she learned that her uncle had been kidnapped as a child. No. She wasn't going to become another kidnapping tale to warn your children about.

"Ah. A walk is fine, but going to your home? I rather just take a walk, if that's okay mister.... mister...?" Her sentence trailed off, waiting for a name to be given.

He looked down at the little lady as she tried to say her name. "If you rather be called Nessie then I will do just that" He said looking at her and smiling. He began to walk and talk some more thinking to himself that he would like to know more about this Nessie. He looked her up and down and suddenly became curious of the shadows that clung against her body. He wanted to know more. He wanted to make a friend. Listening to Nessie as she asked what his name was, he answered. "Well my name is Okuri-inu or just Okuri." He looked at her with curiosity. "Would you like to tell me about yourself?" He asked nervously hoping that wasn't weird to say. He began to walk in the direction she was heading before they bumped into one another. He started to think if was meant to bump into Nessie. Was it fate? Why didn't she run away? The monsters began to come close to his body as his ears stood up. He had some much he wanted to ask her.

Okuri-inu? That was a hard and new name! The woman flicked her ears up, then flopped them promptly down. She wasn't even sure she could say his name! What if she stuttered and messed it up? Then she'd be a fool for sure, and he'd probably run home and tell all his friends of how he met a tiny woman who couldn't even say his name. Hrmpf. She'd at least try.

"O-Okuuuuri." She emphasized the 'u" too long, but it seemed she had a hang of it. Tail wagging gently now that she found new confidence in her ability to say his name, the woman finally decided to entertain the question the male had asked. "About me? Um. Well."

And then she stopped. She wasn't sure what she could say, honestly. She had too much that she needed to keep a secret. What if this man was a follower of her grandfather? While Okuri-inu seemed perfectly sweet now, she wasn't quite convinced she could just blurt her story out yet. Or her families story. Hecate had raised her to be careful, and Nessie would take a few meetings before she'd properly answered his question.

That didn't mean she couldn't say some basic things, though.

"Um. Well. I'm a little sister! I have two moms, as well. I live with a huge family full of magic and fun, and... mm? Oh! Glowing mother says I'm very curious. I like to learn and discover things. What about you, Okuri?" Ah, there. She could properly say his name!

He listened to Nessie tying to say his name and a little bit about her. "Oh you are a little sister?" He said to her thinking that was really cool. "Who is glowing Mother?" He asked curiously. Listening more to the little lady she asked him a question. "What about me? Well I just came to life and my body was made by monsters so I am guessing that I'm undead. I also do not know what fear is like." He said to Nessie hoping that she was not weirded out. He continued to say more about himself. "I also don't know my past and I do not have a family." He looks down quietly knowing she had a family and he did not know much more about them what he had just told her. "She probably thinks I am weird and strange." He thought to himself looking at her eyes. He continued to walk down the alley trying not to be too fast for Nessie.

He spoke weird, she realized. He was far too blunt, and the fact he just blurted out facts about him seemed.... odd. He almost didn't seem to know how people naturally spoke? And then the monster bit. Red eyes blinked at him in confusion, but she let it go. He spoke weird as it was, he may have meant something else by monsters making him? Her tail wagged, though, when she realized he mentioned glowing mother.

"My mother." She answered, quickly realizing how obvious that must have been. "Ah. I have two mothers. One glows, the other... doesn't? So I call the glowing one glowing mother. And yeah, I'm a little sister." She shrugged absently, tail wagging with each step she took. Her wings fluttered once, glancing up at the sky briefly. Should she tell him about her weather magic? Or her shadow liquid?

No.

She wasn't able to. She couldn't form the words she needed to tell him any of that, at least not yet. It was her own fear that prevented her from blurting out anything further. Besides, if he knew he could potentially hurt her. She wanted to keep her powers hidden as long as possible, until she honestly knew if she could trust him or not.

"What does your name mean?" She suddenly questioned, curiously dipping her head to the side to see his face properly.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 09, 2013 4:31 pm

He walked along with Nessie as she told him that she had two mothers. He seemed happy knowing that she had a family. He wished he could have a family as well.
He really wanted to ask her if she had anything special like he did but he didn't want to scare her away. Looking up as she asked what his name meant he began to speak. "What does my name mean? Well it means the wolf that follows travelers at night. I really only like to wander around at night." He looked at her thinking to himself: "She probably thinks I'm some creepy night person." He really wanted to ask her if she had anything special about her like he did with his monsters hoping that he wasn't someone really strange and misplaced in this world. So he said it. "D-do you have anything special or unique like I do with these monsters? I mean I want to find someone special like me." He stuttered. He wanted to know that he wasn't strange or weird here, someone that might understand and not be frightened even though she didn't seem to be scared of him. He really thought she was pretty but saying that might weird her out. He really didn't know how to speak properly. Looking down to see Nessies face seeing if she was all right as he continued to walk.

She nodded after he spoke, head raising to view the sky briefly. Ah. He hadn't asked what her name meant, how odd. Usually people would return the question. Though, honestly, did she even want to say? No. Not necessarily. Her hand reached up, brushing long locks from her cheeks before she flicked bright red eyes, casting a hint of a smile back at the male.

She didn't like that question.

Still, the smile hid the disdain for it. Her heart hammered, quickening with each intake of oxygen. No. She wasn't going to answer that. Not now. Not here. Not for a long time. It was rude, anyways, to ask such an abrupt question. She knew that much. Who asked people if they had something special or unique? She didn't. Special things weren't harmful. They didn't hurt or break or tear apart people. Her eyes flinched briefly, lowering to view the ground as her throat tightened.

'Don't tell him." She knew that much, she didn't need that tiny voice of reason to tell her that. Her hands clenched slightly as she shook her head, smile wavering and weak as she looked at the male.

"Special? No. I'm not special." And that wasn't a lie. She wasn't special. She was cursed. Broken. Tainted. Horrible. Anything but special.

She really hated that question.

"So, why do you live in the city?" Change the topic. Make him forget he had asked that question. That's all she wanted. Her head lowered, hiding her expression as the sky rumbled, her powers and agitation sparking the beginning of a storm. It'd rain soon if her mood wasn't lightened.

PostPosted: Sun Nov 10, 2013 11:00 pm

He looked at her slightly confused. He didn't even really have a home he was just there. "I don't really live here I just kind of woke up in an old broken down building not too far away." He looked at her face and looked down at the ground. She seemed bothered maybe he should have asked if there was something special, but it was too late. He looked up gently and asked: " What would you like to do on this fine evening?" He smiled gently thinking that maybe asking something different would lighten her mood. He really didn't know what else to ask, he just wanted to enjoy the day with Nessie.
