A long stretch of grassland that winds between Blume Town and King Town, this route is very peaceful and quiet. The ground is almost completely covered with lush green grass that grows quite tall in some areas. With very few trees and lots of berry bushes, this route is a haven for Pokémon who enjoy living in grassy areas, and most tree loving Pokémon tend not to live here.
Berries Available Here: Pecha Berries, Leppa Berries, Oran Berries
Yellow Nectar may also be gathered here.
[Black colored Pokémon can be caught with a Poké Ball, Blue colored Pokémon need to be caught with a Great Ball, and Red colored Pokémon need to be caught with an Ultra Ball.]

You'll never see it coming...
With full belief in Kita, Torikki crossed his arms with closed eyes, as the Scraggy brushed off the dirt from his saggy pants. When his eyes turned upwards, a familiar beaver shakily stood up, a fiery determination inside his little eyes. Commendable as it were, Tori and Kita knew this battle was as good as over; further pushing would cause the beaver to fall.
And yet, that thought made Kita smirk. Cracking his tiny knuckles, the fighting type slowly began walking over to the beaver, ready to take him down. The difference in damage was too great at this point, and considering Kita's last Drain Punch, he was raring to go, even if admittedly, his punching hand took a considerable amount of damage. Shaking it off, the bipedal watched the beaver attempt to scramble away in fear, without much energy. It was a pitiful sight.
The beaver attempted to plead with Kita. "P-Please! I... I surrender! Just no more!" the beaver cried out, tears in his tiny eyes. Kita grabbed the beaver by the tail to keep him from scrambling. The beaver was fully tearing up, and yet Kita felt ready to drop-kick him into unconsciousness. But, Kita knew better than to force Tori's will without first talking to him. His tiny eyes looked to Tori for some kind of response.
The beaver's tears were going everywhere. In fact, his little beaver nose was bubbling snot, his eyes pouring cascading tears, the look of terror in his tiny eyes. Kitanai smirked, as this was his intention. Maji watched in, half in terror, half in concern.
"... well?" the bipedal called out to his master, who opened his eyes to witness the scene. To this, Torikki considered his options for a second. If he let Kita show mercy, then he would be weak as a trainer, even if he got the temporary approval of the now-terrified Buck-Toothed Trainer. On the other hand, if he let Kita show no mercy, then the poor beaver might forever be mentally, physically, and emotionally scarred, might even be killed. And Buck Tooth may become a shut-in from the decision. The merciless option had its merits.
Torikki gazed directly into Kita's eyes, as he did back to Tori. "Leave him with three legs. This conflict is over, henceforth" he yelled in his normal bombastic manner.
Maji's eyes looked to Tori in relief for a second, changing to horror. Kita nodded, and while the beaver began to cry louder, the bipedal stomped on his tail to keep the beaver in place, before placing his hands together as he did earlier. [Kita: Brick Break]
Unsuccessful; the trainer recalled Bidoof into his respective Pokeball. "I gave up! What the hell is wrong with you?"
"What is wrong with I, the master of tricks?! Ragnarok! You should know better than to trifle with the end of conflict, for that merely prolongs the inevitable!"
With her nose in her scarf, Maji looked almost hurt at the situation at hand, though Kita gave the most disatisfied frown to the buck tooth trainer. Walking back over to his headphones, he placed them on his head, and continued to listen to what he wanted to like he didn't have a care in the world. Tori merely pulled out his pouch of berries, threw an Oran Berry to Maji, two to Kita, while chewing on one himself. "You have gazed into the abyss and have shown nothing for it. You have wasted my time, for you have no potential at all. Now. get out of my sight; Valhalla is meant for those with honor, not cowards." with his left hand on his face, covering the majority, his red eye peeked out from behind his gloved hand, with an expression of anger.
The Fennekin, Scraggy, and Tori all three continued walking to King Town, realizing that this was no longer a fight worth their time. Tori looked over to Kita who seemed a teensy bit hurt physically, but fine in every other category, head-bopping lazily to some older music as they left Buck Tooth's line of sight. He looked over to Maji, who seemed worried as they made their way to King Town.
"What worries you, little one?"
"Were you really..." the fox said in her native tongue, something Tori couldn't fully understand.
Tori processed what must be the problem, and kept looking forward as he walked. "If this is in regards to the battle... you must not ere. Weakness breeds vulnerability. Vulnerability leads to defeat."
"Is defeat...bad?" Maji looked up from her scarf, and to that, Tori had no clear response. He merely pondered that answer as well, as they would soon arrive at King Town.
The sun was beginning to set, so Laram knew it wouldn't be long before Zeus joined the team on the ground. His eyes were capable of allowing him to fly at night, but barely. Being completely new to the region, Laram had no idea just how long it was going to be before he made it to the next town. He was starting to worry that they were going to have to camp for the night. We'll have to start setting up soon if we're too far away. I don't want to be trying to make camp in the dark...."I LIKE SHORTS! THEY'RE COMFY AND EASY TO WEAR!"Laram spun around as someone screamed a nonsense message at him. He couldn't help but instinctively pull his knife at the noise. But when he saw the source, a puzzled expression adorned his face."What the...""LET'S BATTLE!"It was a young boy. Probably ten to twelve years old, wearing baggy cargo shorts that were clearly too big for him. He had a yellow striped shirt and a baseball cap that he was wearing backwards. Before Laram could get a word out, the child threw a pokeball to the ground and a small, purple rat Pokemon appeared. Laram stared at it, then back at the boy. Then back at the rat, then the boy again."Why?"
The boy looked surprised. It was as if he had never been turned down for a battle before."Well...cuz...we're both trainers.""So? Why does that mean that I have to battle you?""Well, cuz that's what trainers do. They battle their Pokemon. You're not supposed to turn a trainer battle down."The boy was obviously flustered. Apparently, it had never occured to him that people could say no. But that was exactly what Laram was doing. He didn't want to get into any pointless fights just because some little kid tried to call him out. But the child's presence did seem promising. If there was someone so young out and about at this time of the day, the next town couldn't be too far up the road. Laram thanked the kid and walked off. Within half an hour, just as the sun disappeared below the horizon, Laram saw a sign that said "King Town". Just over the hill was a smallish town with a large radio tower in the center. Laram shrugged to his team just as Zeus landed on his shoulder. With everyone present, they headed off toward the Pokemon Center.
Caroline was a little ashamed to say that she got lost. First she thought she saw a shiny, it was just some kid's glittered up Nidoran, and she chased it around until she didn't know where she was. But now she saw the gate to King Town! Nearly falling over from relief, she ran forward screaming "Finally! This stupid route is over!" Eggy shook in agreement. She was going to find a nice Pokemon Center, take a nap, and then maybe find some ice cream. Definitely that. Cas and Sullie were already returned, tired from scouting the area. The group... took their time, but they made progress! [Eggxit] I Egg to Differ: 5
The afternoon was just beginning as Regal passed the sign inviting him into King Town. Despite his berry picking pit stop, the trainer seemed to have made even better time than he had been expecting. His new Cutiefly, which he had dubbed Magnolia, was happily gathering honey along the route as her trainer walked on, depositing her sweet bounty into a jar that Regal was carrying. At the rate she was going, it wouldn't be long before there was enough for him to cook up something decent. Maybe he would try his hand at baking Poképuffs. Nova had certainly enjoyed them back when the man had been working at Madame Valerie's. He would need to procure some flour, eggs, a touch of vanil-
"I like shorts! They're comfortable and easy to wear!"
Snapping out of his baking daydream, Regal's eyes narrowed as they locked onto the boy in front of him brandishing a Pokéball. Sure enough, the kid was wearing an oversized pair of cargo shorts that looked like they would've fallen right down to his ankles if it weren't for the belt tied tightly around his waist. The smug expression on the kids face was practically begging the trainer to challenge his claim, so of course he did just that.
"Well I like PANTS. They're longer and keep my legs warm." He responded. "Do you just go announcing your love of shorts to everyone you meet?"
"Yup. I also like to challenge people to Pokémon battles!" The kid replied as he released a Rattata out into the field. "My name's Joey, and my Rattata here is in the top percentage of Rattata! Don't be too surprised if you lose!"
With Joey's challenge made, Regal knew that it was proper etiquette as a trainer to accept. Magnolia seemed more interested in honey than battling, so the trainer snapped a Pokéball off of his belt and sent out Nova to battle against the kids Rattata. As they got ready to start, the older man grinned as he came to the realization that this would be his first real trainer battle since getting his licence. There had to be more than ten years difference between him and his opponent, but that didn't really matter in this moment. Old, young, pants or shorts. The only thing that did matter was the battle in front of them, and emerging victorious over the other. The sensation was intoxicating.
It was was only a few short minutes, but Regal felt as if the battle had been going on for years. Every time he and Nova got close to cornering Joey's Rattata, the pesky little rodent would surprise them with an unconventional attack. First it had used Flame Wheel, and then it was a Thunderbolt. The worst of all had been when it caught the two off guard with a Bubble Beam, of all things. It had only been a few glancing bubbles, but the water attack had definitely spooked the fire type Nova. All in all, it looked as though Joey hadn't been kidding when he declared his Pokémon top percentage. It was annoyingly tough.
We need to slow it down first.
The Rattata's natural speed, as well as its Flame Wheel and Quick Attack techniques, made it too difficult to pin the rodent down for a decisive blow. Switching up his tactics, Regal commanded Nova to use Scary Face. The twisted grin it used was more comical than frightening in his opinion, but it did its job of slowing down Joey's Pokémon long enough to land a Dragon Breath attack. It was quickly paralyzed, and then the rest of the battle was history. Without its mobility, the Rattata was easily overpowered by Nova's fire attacks. Thanking him for the battle, Joey picked up his Pokémon and went on his way.
"Not bad for our first match." Regal mused as he fed Nova an Oran Berry for a job well done. He returned the salamander to its ball and watched Magnolia hum cheerfully as she continued gathering honey into her jar, completely oblivious to the battle her trainer had just finished. Signalling for her to follow, the two continued their journey into King Town, eager to get back to business.

"Aren't you going to help me with my tent?" Laram sighed to himself and ignored the courier. He hated everything about this job, and honestly wished he had never accepted it. The trainer was used to roughing it, however the addition of Michael made everything more tedious. Laram released all of his Pokemon so that they could stretch their legs. After this, he recalled his Rookidee from the sky into their camp. After everyone was accounted for, Laram asked Baldur and Thorn to go forage for some suitable firewood for the night. They nodded their agreement and disappeared from Laram's sight. The trainer knew that they would be fine. All of his Pokemon were strong, but those two in particular were very resourceful. He had no doubts that they could handle anything that might be a problem. Laram didn't carry anything to sleep in or on, he always saw such things as an unnecessary luxury. His former life as a street urchin taught him that he could sleep pretty much anywhere as long as it was safe. Soft beds were really nice, but not required for him to get good sleep. The trainer put his hand over his eyes and searched the horizon; checking the time. It was almost dark, and he wanted to be set up before it was so. His Pokemon could provide light for their work, but it was risky. A lot of Pokemon would be attracted to it.
After around an hour, Laram's Diggersby and Pansage returned with bundles of dried branches in their ears and tail respectively. They had gathered enough for to have a nice fire for the entire night. Laram thanked them and got to work setting up the campfire. Once he was satisfied, he asked Firnen, his Charmander, to light the tinder."Char char!" The Charmander spit an ember into the ball of twigs Laram had bound up into a nest. The trainer smiled and thanked the fire lizard for his help and remarked how helpful Pokemon were."Seriously, I need help with this thing. Why am I paying you if you're not gonna help me?"Laram gritted his teeth and addressed the annoying courier."My job is to keep you safe, NOT to be your babysitter. Figure it out for yourself."The trainer shook his head and prepared the food he and his team were going to eat that night. Once everything was completely cooked, everyone took a portion and they all filled their stomachs. It wasn't spectacular, but it was filling and warm. Which was exactly what they needed at the moment. Once they ate, they all settled in as Laram eyed Michael still struggling with his tent."We're leaving early in the morning. I suggest you get some sleep."
With that, the trainer fell asleep. The night passed uneventful, and Laram woke up with the sun. He nudged his team awake and put out the campfire. It wasn't safe to just let a fire burn unattended. Michael had apparently gave up on trying to set up his tent, and simply used it as a makeshift blanket. Laram scoffed and kicked the courier awake."Get up. We're heading out."The courier yawned and while blinking rapidly, asked for five more minutes. This angered the trainer and he ripped the tent off the lazy kid's body."No. We're going now."Michael shook himself awake and stood to his feet in a huff."You can't treat me like this! I'm paying you! I'm basically your boss!""Considering I don't have one of those, No. You're not. I told you when we left Nix City that we were doing this my way. You agreed. If you don't like it, pay me, and we can separate here. Otherwise, pack your crap and let's get moving."Laram had had enough of Michael, he was going to finish the job, but he was finished putting up with the courier's lackluster attitude and motivation."I'll pay you when I'm safely in Blume Town. Not before." "Fine. Then pack your crap up and let's go. If you want me to continue to escort you, then shut up and let's go." Laram folded his arms across his chest as Michael scowled at him. After a thirty second, silent standoff, the courier gave in and packed up his tent. Once he was ready, the pair continued along Route 1 in silence. Which Laram was very grateful for.
It had been close to six hours walking down the road, and Laram was starting to feel the fatigue that comes from walking for such a long time without a break. He could tell his team was feeling it too, so he returned everyone that looked tired. The only ones that he kept out were his Rookidee, Wimpod, and Chimchar. He figured that he should deepen the bond he had with his two new teammates, and what better way was there than to spend time with them. Sun decided that he wished to ride on Laram's shoulders, so the trainer decided to tickle the little simian Pokemon as he made his way up the trainer's back. Laram didn't mind, his Chimchar wasn't heavy, and if he wanted to play, Laram wasn't going to stop him. His Wimpod scuttled along the route, seeming to try to sniff out food along the ground. Laram didn't have any issues with this. If Ronin was hungry, then there was nothing wrong with him trying to rustle up some grub. Laram gave the scuttle bug another berry, as well as Sun. Both seemed happy with the treat, as they neared King Town. Laram could see the top of the tower in the distance, when they came upon a tree on the side of the road. This tree was filled with Metapod hanging from the branches and attached to the side of the trunk.
"Those Metapod look like they're hurting that tree. It looks barren like it's been half eaten. We have to get those Metapod off of there. Sun, use Ember and hit each of them. Galahad, Peck them off after Sun has hit them. Ronin, get under the tree and use Surf."Laram's Pokemon jumped into action. His Chimchar flashed fireballs at each Metapod in the tree, singing them, and getting them to loosen their grip. After he was finished, Laram's Rookidee flew in and used his beak to pry each and every Metapod off of the tree. While he did this, Laram's Wimpod scuttled to the base of the trunk and water flowed out from the silverfish's body, flooding the area around the tree. As each Metapod fell, the water softened the impact from their fall. None of them fought back, but Laram could tell that the bug Pokemon were agitated."I am the Lorax!...*ahem*"The trainer was glad that no one was around to see his exclamation. He had no idea as to why he shouted that, it just sort of came out. After he regained his composure, Laram thanked his Pokemon and they all went into town together. Laram found the job board and noticed there were a few jobs for their new mine. So he headed over that way.
