Since the last encounter with the vast underground city beneath lane five of the Desert Flower Bowling Alley and Arcade Fun Complex, there have been a few negotiation meetings between Night Vale's Community Leaders and those of the miniaturized city's. They have come to a peaceable agreement in which the Bowling Alley has been expanded to include miniaturized bowling lanes, arcade games, and laser tag rooms, all at discounted prices.
The actual Weather of Night Vale is tied in with the music Cecil plays on the radio, the tone and words of the songs (when analyzed correctly) clearly announce the weather and the residents of Night Vale are so used to this, that they now view the music as actual weather reports and save each weather report in order to remember what the weather was. smile Any other system for their daily weather would confuse them, at this point.

OC Headcanon: Chuck takes care of her younger sister's (Lacie) ghost. Lacie died shortly after Lacie turned 18 years old, but her spirit never left their home, and she interacts with anyone who comes in. She appears solid and can do everything a living human can do, as well as things ghosts can do. Chuck still cares for her sister, even though she is dead, and she makes sure Lacie gets a continuous education, since Lacie can't attend Community College on her own.
I think that Night Vale is in Nevada, really close (if not) Area 51.
((I used to live in Vegas! so close to sweet sweet Night Vale))

ideaThe Glow Cloud actually does have two children, lovely little manipulative glow fogs (fogs until they both begin to go through puberty when they begin to become glow clouds). And they are both in Elementary school.
Whatever dimensional plane Dana is on is only accesible to those with supernatural powers or existance. This is why she can commmunicate with Cecil, to some degreee of difficulty. John Peters, you know, the farmer, can access this plane because of his unearthly farm powers, which we get a taste of (quite litterally) in his imaginary corn. Also on this plane are ghosts, such as the Apache Tracker, the racist embarassment.
The glow cloud is a very powerful form of ghost or spirit, with no malicious intent.
Dana is going through training to eventually replace Cecil whenever that time comes, though neither of them know this. Her trip to the dog park was one of station management's several tests to measure Dana's skill. She was chosen because she is the longest surviving intern to date.
No one can ever leave Night Vale, at least not easily, much like the town Storybrooke in the show Once Upon a Time. Carlos is not yet aware of this, and neither were the other scientists who sent him there.
Telly the barber has gone insane because his act of defiance angered many of the supernatural beings of Night Vale, who now try to pull them onto their dimensional plane. His halfway existance on both sides of our world has driven him into insanity.
Night Vale City Council has, what seems to them, very logical reasons for banning the things that they do. One member read about a poisoned cupcake, wheat and wheat by-products were banned. Another learned about the danger of mountain climbing, and the belief in mountains was outlawed. etc.

Murder Is Kawaii
I have lots of headcanons.

1. Steve has damn-good scones and other baked goods. The rest of the town agrees. Unless, of course, you're Cecil. 2. Only members of Night Vale can understand the Weather. Music is just a way that the City Council prevents outsiders from understanding the basics of the structure of the government.

This one's kinda half formed. Having issues forming my thoughts into words.
Night Vale is a type of purgatory. It's not too bad if you follow the insane rules and every citizen knows where Hell is. The rest of the details are nebulous as Night Vale changes so often.
Headcanon: Steve and Cecil used to date when they were in high school. Steve wasn't such a "racist jerk" back then, but one day, close to junior prom, Cecil found out that Steve had been bullying some of the Native American students and he was angered. Cecil broke up with Steve in a very public way and has never forgiven him for bullying those super nice kids! {this is all just headcanon}

I agree with the Steve and Cecil dating thing! For those who aren't caught up with Episode 32, I'll hide this:
In the episode, he tells Josie he "has a new boyfriend now!" Which means there was a boyfriend before Carlos. I feel like it had to have been Steve, just due to his "ex-girlfriend" feel towards Steve in his broadcasts. Maybe the breakup was actually really casual, in Steve's eyes. It was just a matter of telling Cecil that he was no longer interested in dating him. Cecil, of course, heard it in a completely negative tone and that spurred this longing anger towards Steve because "Steve never apologized" or something like that. C:
it's mentioned that they look identical, and in Casette Cecil mentions his brother staring at him with hollow disapproving eyes, it's pretty much canon that there's something hollow or non-existant/blacked-out about Kevin's eyes and we know he is disapproving of Cecil.
His mother tells him that he will die involving a mirror, and Kevin is a mirror image of Cecil.
