The darkness in that avatar is epic and the background compliments it! biggrin why thank you madam. it's not like i am incapable of making cool/awesome/nice avis. i just tend to make ones that i enjoy or think look cool. that usually just clashes with everyone's idea of what a good avi is.

i was one of the most fashionable people in my old highschool in florida.
on gaia, i make do with what i have. lol

I wouldn't doubt it, but I must say: Does it truly matter what others think if you are expressing yourself?
For example, despite the sweet comments I always get on my designs (since any and EVERY outfit I wear is of my own making; expressing and representing myself), I truly wear what I think expresses my day the most. The shirt I'm wearing, which was actually a gift today, represents how laid-back I was and the little envelope represents my usual love for writing. The bow represents my love for October/Halloween. I never put much thought to it, but even the shoes represent something (my love for flats xd ). If people do not appreciate that...well, it's me. And I love being me and expressing who I am to others. I'm sure you get the point. xd
A good avi is what you make it to be...well, that's how I see it. smile

I rarely buy things over $100 unless it's Nike sneakers which I get exactly one pair of those each year and then get other cute things like flats for $20 at Payless. Gotta love that Bogo xd Some people shun the clearance rank, but honestly, there are some really cute things you can find there sometimes. biggrin Bealls (<< don't think I spelled that right...) and Ross usually have some good deals for clothes and jewelry, I've even gotten a few purses from there. Burlington Coat Factory isn't so bad either I guess; I mostly like their sandals. 3nodding
