It had been a few weeks since the tear, but Poke still felt like she had just returned yesterday from a journey that had lasted years. Her mind was still a maze of memories, brought to the surface from all the trials she had faced. Some of them good, others...not so much. But the greatest so far had been the final moments. There had been a great sword, and the one who had wielded the sword....The memory of this figure made her grin, filling her with pride. Yes, he had called them heroes. A hero! That was a rare word for a dragon to be called, and she held onto it as if it were a glorious treasure. It was easier to let the other more horrifying memories slide away as she reveled in the glory of saving the world.

But apart from these amazing feats, she had other things to consider. For when she had returned, she had found a strange lock upon her body. It was chained to her belt, and for the life of her she couldn't remove it. Even her great strength was unable to dislodge it.

The dragon was now quite puzzled as she sat on the school's fence , trying to use the tip of her tail to crack the lock open. She wasn't doing a good job of it.

The two of them had a handful of things in common, and he hadn't noticed one of them during their first and last meeting. Somehow.

Tanvir had noticed the dragon ghoul from a few yards off, as he followed one of the pathways on foot. He really needed to stretch out his wings, but that would come later. There was a slight chill in the air and he didn't want to freeze his tail off in higher altitudes.

For a long moment he simply watched her, so focused on trying to pry off the lock. It was almost saddening, and at the same time he knew all too well the frustration of its presence.

Drawing his wings closer to his back, as though trying to keep warm, he finally spoke from about ten feet to the side of her perch on the perimeter wall. "It's a waste of effort."

Concentrating on her task, Poke did not know there was someone there until Tanvir spoke up. So startled was the dragon that she nearly lost her balance and fell off. Thankfully she managed to grasp the edge of the wall, and with a few frantic movements, crawled back up and perched there like some over-sized bird.

"So..." She sighed, trying to pretend that it never happened "What makes you say it wont..." she trailed off, able to see that he too possessed a lock on his arm. She paused, eyes focused on the strange device.

"I see" She mumbled, then spoke a little louder. "Do you know anything about these strange locks? Whats their purpose?"

Tanvir only watched - quite indifferently, really - as the startled water dragon scrambled to keep herself from tumbling to the ground. He hadn't thought he'd spoken nearly loud enough to frighten someone, let alone a dragoness. He wasn't sure what to make of the display, but it wasn't important it appeared.

When questioned, he lifted the shackled arm which carried his lock, the soft clinking of chains following the movement. He looked at it briefly, as if thinking the answer over. He flexed the fingers of his gauntlet, looking up to her again as he dropped his arm back to his side.

"I have had this since I awakened here. I've been unable to break it. That is all I know."

His brow furrowed a bit, golden eyes staring at the lock she wore. "It's disturbing to see I'm not the only one."

It wasn't so much the loudness of the voice that had her attention, so much as the fact that she had not noticed it before. But it was hard not to notice him now, even as he spoke quietly. Tanvir had said little, but there was something about what he said that had her puzzled.

She stood up, walking along the outer wall till she had closed the distance, then dropped down in front of the black dragon. "Where were you before you woke up here?"

He did seemed concerned about the lock that she wore. Truth be told it had not worried her. Sure it was annoying, but so far it had done nothing but just, not come off. It did not seem to be a threat

"There are worst things to be disturbed about here." She said with a cynical smile, opening up her palm to show the four clans mark upon it. The lock was nothing compared to this pain in the a** symbol.

When the ghoul hopped off the wall before him, it was her turn to be the one looking up to meet his gaze. Her question got a small frown. He didn't look angry, really, simply bothered by the fact that he wished he could offer a better answer.

"I wish I knew."

The following words weren't too reassuring, and he peered at the symbol with a c**k of a brow. "Did you wake to that being a mystery, too?"

Ahh, so thats what it was. She knew there was something up about this dragon but for the life of her she hadn't been able to figure it out. Now he knew. "So you don't remember..." Truth be told it was not that shocking, considering many beings came to this world that had no memories. But they were usually dead; this guy did not appear to be a undead nor a ghost. It was a intriguing mystery, One she wanted to help solve.

"Is there anything you do remember?" She then asked. Best to start with the basics.

Tanvir's next question was met with a shake of the head. "I went to go assist some friends, and the horsemen decided to 'help out'. Not that I asked for help, but I got it nonetheless. Now I have this mark, and I still don't know what it does. But it feels to much like a demon contract to me, something the horsemen could try and abuse." She gritted her teeth at the idea. The horsemen were way to untrustworthy for her tastes.

The dragon boil stood there a long moment, not quite staring at the ghoul but more like through her. Thinking, trying to recall, hoping to somehow grasp the memories that were just not there.

Finally, he shook his head slowly.

"No. Nothing."

He listened to Pokerus in a polite silence, although he didn't look to understand what she was talking about. Was he supposed to? His brows furrowed a bit. Well, it still sounded a bad situation anyway. She appeared quite upset by the idea, too.

"I can imagine your disgust... I would loathe being indebted to someone without having given explicit consent."

Poke shifted a little as the dragon just...stared at her, or mostly at her. She was pretty sure he was trying to think. Mostly sure. But it became clear Tanvir would not be able to recall anything at the moment..

"Damn." She muttered, trying to wrack her mind for any ideas. None came, so she just shrugged. "Perhaps if you wait a while, your memories may come back on their own. Or there could be things around here that triggers something in your mind."

She then nodded. "The horsemen are a suspicious bunch. Their motives are shrouded in shadow, and they don't make appearances often. The less I see of them the more concerned I get." Sighing, she regarded the dragon boil in front of her. "It's not worth thinking about that anyway. Since you're brand new here, I would imagine you don't know the inner workings of Amityville. If thats the case, I can show you around."

The boil shrugged as well, expression really not giving much hint on whether he was bothered by any of the small talk of lost memories or if he simply didn't care one way or another. It was mostly the latter, really. No sense in chasing a lost past when he was quite certain he wasn't getting back to his previous life.

It could have been worse. He could have been dead, left to come back as something not wholly himself. Jack knew he probably smelled questionable enough as it was. Not that that couldn't be much worse... He'd already passed a few who he was sure hadn't bathed in a while. Swamp water baths were better than no baths at all, right?

Tanvir made a mental note to avoid these Horsemen when possible. If this ghoul knew of them and spoke of them in such a way, the bad vibe wasn't going to be so drastically exaggerated.

He wasn't sure what to do when the dragoness suddenly changed the topic, not that he was providing much into the previous conversation to begin with. With a lack of a quick enough thought, he blinked and offered a short response.

"Uh. Sure."

Oh, how talkative he was...

It was becoming clear to her that Tanvir was not a talkative guy. More then that, it was difficult to gauge just what was on his mind. Usually she could decipher something about someone else, but the boil was giving her no clues. The short answer he had given her at least let her know he was interested in knowing about the school....at least she was pretty sure he was.

"...Er. Right then...this way." She indicated towards the main building, moving away at a slow pace so that Tanvir could follow her. The walk across the school grounds was quiet, as she tried to figure out what to do with him. Considering he wasn't much a conversationalist, it was a good guess he just didn't like talking. He might be one of those dragons who just lived as hermits up in the mountains. Or, swamps in his case. She could see he was a black dragon, though as to what kind of 'black dragon' he was it was hard to say. Halloween had many different kinds, all belonging to different clans, so it was best to wait and see if he had a breath weapon, and if so what kind, to give her a better idea.

As they entered the school hallway she glanced at him again, focusing more on his black schlera and piercing gaze. Jacking hell were his eyes glowing? He really had a way of looking right at someone at times. In fact was he looking at her right now?

"Ah, Lockers there, classrooms there, more classrooms that way" She pointed in random directions and quickened her pace as she felt a sudden case of self consciousness threaten to take hold.
