Alright so when Hao was told he and his mate were going to have kids he was over the moon, more little pitter pattering of feet was an awesome thing to think about but now that they are here he wasn't exactly thrilled...not that he didn't want them just...he was just not sure now if he DID want them or not, they had three adult sons, they could handle them, they were self maintained these days, did he REALLY want to look after more screaming, crying, mess making babies? Hao sighed and looked his sons over and whilst he loved them and wanted to hand them off to his mate and tell him to take care of them as he was going on a long sabbatical he knew better then to do that but still...the thought was nice.

"Alright, so, whos taking first turn of baby sitting?" He asked, looking at his sons.

"They have JUST come home and already you are wanting to take a break!? What kind of a father are you!?" Lin asked the mer as he looked over his new little brothers, simply loving how adorable they were.

"I just gave BIRTH to them! I think I am allowed a couple of hours to myself" he said as he cuddled the little darling in his arm "besides, it isn't like I am asking you two to take them on full time" he said, feeling a little bit like he had post natal depression or something, he just hasn't really connected with these babies like he did with his first lot of kids and whilst he hated that very idea he couldn't help it, maybe he was just getting too old for this.

Hao chuckled as he looked up at his mate "spectral or not hes stil the sexiest ghost around" he said to the fox that was floating above them "just that its hard to give him any affection when he is like that" he said smiling at him "though i would like to hear those your thoughts as to why he goes like that...unless my darling mate would like to tell me himself" he said grinning at the fox. Hao knew better to say anything else and looked at his son "well then, a taker for babysitting, lin you are helping to" he said as lin nodded.

"sure, shou and i could take them shopping, i need to buy them some stuff anyway, cant let my brother hog the 'best big brother ever' title" he said grinner at Shou.

"I do apologise for this, i dont mean to just dump them on you but i..." hao sighed as he looked at his mate, deciding it was best to tell him more then his sons, not that he cared if they knew just that he always hated keeping things from him. "...i just dont feel connected to these two, i want to love them and in a way i do but i just dont have that bond that i had with our first lot of boys, i hate that its like this but i honestly dont know if it is post natal depression or im just too old for this but either way i just dont feel like being around them much. I dont want to say this in front of them but i cant exactly clear the room either when his kids should hear this also...well, the adult ones.

Chi, sweetheart, please don't hate me, i truly want to love these children like i did our first lot but i just can't" he said, fearing not only Chi but his children were going to think bad things about him as he kissed the childs forehead and cuddled him before passing him to lin.

Lin took the child and cuddled him "seen anyone about this?" He asked as he wrapped the blanket around his little brother a bit more, worried now about his father.

"The doctor said it is normal to feel this sometimes and to give it a few days but if i still feel like this i should come back in and see a professional."

"Then i guess it is just a wait and see thing, but Shou and i will be on hand if you need us and of course dad will be also when he materializes again" he said as he lent over and kissed his fathers cheek "you have us, we will help you get through this" he said, feeling sorry for him more then anything "right Shou?"Hating speaking for him but he couldnt see his brother saying no to this and the fact it gives them time with their little brothers.

"Thank you" hao said, pleased that he and chi brought their children up right.
