Background Information
Mason was born and raised in Austin, Texas by his loving parents Daniel and Velma. His father was a high ranking officer in the United States Army who would move all across the country to where he was sent while his wife and son stayed in Texas. Mason grew very attatched to his mother this way. Sadly though, when Mason was 16 he found out his father would leave even when he was allowed to stay with his family. It turned out he was having affairs with several women in about...4 or 5 different states. He probably even had other families. His mother had know a few years prior to Mason finding out, but she hid it to protect her son from that pain. His father was killed in a hit and run almost 11 months later in New York City. He was visiting one of his misteresses and she kicked him out after he told her he couldn't see her anymore. Mason and his mother had his body transported back to Austin and they had his body buried there. After a 6 months, the memories became too much for his mother and she went insane. His uncle Sedric, brother of his father, came down to visit and saw how she was. No matter what Mason did to try to help her get over her grief, she just sunk deeper into her delusion. So, Sedric put her into a mental institution and packed Mason up to live with his family in Lima, Ohio. He had to start school a week late because of problems with enrollment, but Mason is now enrolled at McKinley high where he will be going for his Senior year. He had been playing sports his whole life, his mother always saw him as a star athlete and it was their dream that Mason would be in the big leagues one day. But he has a hidden love for music he doesn't share with anyone. Only his mother knew. Along with that he was a huge flirt, who always got the girl and always broke her heart before she could break his. That was his biggest fear. Losing the person he loved most in the world. It already happened to his mother, because his father was the love of her life. And in a way, Mason lost both of them in that hit and run. His father died and took the last of his mothers heart and soul with him.
