Tendrils of mist swirled playfully across the arena grounds. The air was cold and crisp, and there was a feeling of cool freshness to each breath taken. Looking up, one would see nothing but clear blue skies that stretched onward in every direction. Looking up, the sensation of being swallowed up by the sky was strong enough to capture even the hearts of those unappreciative of the beauty in nature. Up here, in the cool mountain air, everything seemed sharper, clearer, the hues of colors seeming brighter than what they might elsewhere. The details of the mountain ranges outside the arena were as clear as looking what a person might expect from a high resolution photograph, and with even just a bit of focus they could see where the greys, blacks, and whites clashed with one another. Below the arena, if one were to look over the edge, they would see an expanse of clouds. Thick white clouds that hid the world below from view, only faint glimpses of the ground below the mountain arena visible where parts of the cloud thinned out.
The arena itself was nothing short of captivating, there being an ethereal beauty to the man made structures built seemingly long ago. There were numerous columns along either side of the arena which were long since destroyed, with a single archway at the end of the narrow arena that barely stood. Both the archway and the columns were worn down heavily, looking faded and were smooth to touch from the numerous storms that passed over this mountain; both winter blizzards and storms that would freeze or drown a man who stayed out in one too long.
The long pool of water held within it crystal clear water, still and motionless despite the mountain breeze that blew the grass that had grown long and lively from centuries of lack of care. Looking down it would almost appear as if the person was looking at a mirror, the water casting the illusion that anyone who dared step foot in it would not step in water but would fall up into the sky. There was a single platform in the pool, just large enough for a single person to stand. It was a base, and atop the base was a stone carved statue of a young woman and a wolf.
The statue of the woman was seated in the lotus position, her eyes closed and expression serene, face enveloped by long hair that fell in exquisite detail around her shoulders and down the length of her back. And curled around her was a rather large wolf, like the woman it's eyes closed, albeit the creature appeared to be sleeping where the woman was meditating. And despite how worn the base of the statue was, and the obvious destruction to surrounding pillars and structures, wrought from age and battles past, the statue of the woman and the wolf remained as perfect in detail and condition as it had been since it's creation, untouched by the world and it's difficulties.
There was only one way in or out of the arena. A stone staircase that carved a passage that led to other places on the mountain, and it was from there that both contestants for this match would arrive from. And although two would step forward to meet the call, only one would be permitted to leave. This would be a match between two of Unbroken's esteemed leaders. Two whose rivalry dated back to their very beginnings. And it would be here that, at long last, the question would be settled.
Who was the better? "NOW LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!"

This had been a long time in coming. From the first day Nona set foot in Winhill Garden, really. Had it only been a few years ago? It felt like another life. Another world. Nona reflected on it as she emerged from the stone staircase and caught sight of the small but idyllic battleground. The green, the pool, the sky…They all brought the memory of that first day in the new Garden back.
Winhill’s was much more…gentle than Galbadia Garden. It had felt like going from a prestigious military school down to some pampered private school that catered to country money. Nona had hated it the moment she set eyes on it, walking up the grounds with the host of other students that had come for the new semester. Most of them much younger than her, she’d noted with a shame that made her want to smack someone. Maybe herself. She’d just passed the front gates when she saw the swirl of magic in the corner of her eye. Some girl, she couldn’t remember her face very well, had been playing around with spells to impress one of her juniors. A poorly-considered Fire spell had hit the tree she was throwing magic at. She’d already cast a Blizzard spell on it and the sudden change in temperature made the frozen trunk essentially explode, showing embers all over.
The pool was placid, and in its waters Nona could see the moment as she walked past.
There had been plenty of kids around, but Nona was the one to react fastest. She was there before an instructor could arrive, extinguishing the scattered blaze with several Blizzard spells. The tree had been destroyed and a chunk of the land around it was scarred by the embers; the walls of the Garden, overgrown with ivy and other greenery, had been a stone’s throw away. Nona never needed much excuse to berate someone and this time she had a sudden outlet for her pent-up aggression. She’d started yelling at the younger girl, admonishing for her careless use of magic, disregard for others around her, lack of understanding of even basic science…The girl had wilted under the verbal assault, and though Nona couldn’t remember her face very well, she remembered the expression.
She passed the statue of the woman with the wolf. She couldn’t imagine that figure ever yelling at someone even for endangering others with their magic.
Then he was there, getting between the two of them. What had he said exactly? Something protective, but stern. So she’d started into him, too. Nona didn’t know who would have thrown the first punch, but looking back, it probably would have happened if Nebulous hadn’t shown up to separate them.
Nona climbed the small set of stairs at the end, leaving the pool behind, and came to a stop beneath the marble arch. Just past it, the world vanished. They were above the lower clouds, beneath the higher. The clouds that hung lowest were always the thickest and she could see nothing through them now. If she fell off the edge, would she ever hit the ground, or would she just keep falling through the soft white mist?
She could hear the other set of footfalls coming up the distant steps, emerging onto the battlefield behind her. Nona said nothing, just looked out at the edge of the world.

"Didn't think I'd meet you here"
Footsteps came to a halt on the behind. They adjusted themselves and walked up next to Nona, but separated by the pool. His blonde hair stood in contrast to the white around them and the white of his teeth displayed as he smiled in greeting. The wind here was soft and the clouds rolled on by below and above. A place between the clouds...this was...peaceful. Lloyd just took a second and plopped down on the grass contently.
"This is how you see the world right...?" he glanced at Nona and seemed to be lost in the tranquility of this place. It was odd...Lloyd woke up in this strange place and he wondered if they were expected to fight. Nona...his rival. He chuckled recalling old memories coming up, back then he really did not like her at all. But between the resistance they had gotten closer and could be considered friends. But even so...it felt like this was inevitable.
Eventually...they'd be put against one another to battle for dominance. A part of him was sad at this, but the other part of Lloyd relished the challenge. Nona was more than just a rival. He looked up to her but also wanted to surpass her more than anything. She made him want to be better. She was...Nona was was one of the people Lloyd wanted to acknowledge him. He did mess up, that much was true, but he kept trying. So today, let him prove to her his worth.
"You know Nona...I always knew we'd face each other someday..." Lloyd said looking out over the clouds with her. "Ever since we met...I've always wanted to fight you. More than anything I wanted you to respect me. To acknowledge me. So today...as my friend..." Lloyd now stood facing her and brought his spear over his shoulder. His eyes burned with challenge and the wind of competition blowing past the rivals. "Don't hold back, yeah?" He said with a crackle of his pile bunker before giving her that trademark grin he was known by.

How I see the world… Nona echoed the sentiment in her mind, staring out into the vastness. Always on a precipice, so close to being cast off. Or clinging to a cliff face, scaling it inch by jagged inch. Fighting tooth and nail to climb a little bit higher; to reach someone she couldn’t see above the clouds. Feeling like the slightest mistake would mean plummeting down, losing everything she had sweated and bled for. If she wasn’t the best, if she wasn’t on top, if someone dragged her down, it would all be over. Maybe it wasn’t perfect; this place had a serenity to it that she had never fully known. But it was close. Nipal was right about one thing for sure, though.
They had been headed here from the beginning.
From that first day, there had been no one at the Garden who made a stronger impression on her. There was no one she’d loathed in all of Winhill more. He was loud, he was annoying, he never ceased to get in her way. And worst of all, sometimes he outperformed her. He was always faster than her, people liked him better, and often despite his recklessness things just seemed to go his way. And it had never ceased to gall Nona that his guardian force would come at his beck and call, while she had struggled so long to get Bahamut to come closer to her. Claims that she didn’t care were the refuge of a person in denial. He hit hard with a punch, but she had her magic. People warmed up to him, but she didn’t like people anyway. Leviathan would come whenever summoned, but no guardian force was greater than hers. They weren’t even rivals, she had told herself; he was just this idiot who got in her way.
”I hated you,” she answered. ”I didn’t just want to do better than you; I wanted to crush you. I wanted to leave you in the dust. I wanted to look down on you and know I was the best, and I wanted you to look up at me and know it, too.” She shook her head, hand on her hip as she stared out across the clouds. ”You pissed me off more than anyone ever did at Winhill or Galbadia. I hated you and I wanted to punch you in the face every time I saw your stupid grin.”
”I told myself I never cared what other people thought of me. I thought Bahamut was the only opinion I could respect. But even then, I was wrong. I wanted Nebulous to see me as his star student, but I didn’t try hard enough. I wanted my team to see me as their leader, but I couldn’t do it like you could. And I wanted you to see that I was better than you, but I could never prove it like I wanted.”
Nona turned back to him and met his grin with her own crooked, scarred one. Even with the scars, it was the same old, cocky smirk Lloyd had seen a thousand times. She drew her sword from her belt, scabbard and all, and drew it with a familiar slide of folded steel on cherry. Through the clouds, sunlight glinted off blade, off spearhead, off the metal cap on the sheath, off the crackling pile bunker.
Between the clouds, where the sky and sea and land became indistinguishable, they stood as friends.
”Haste!” Nona declared, an excitable green and yellow flare of light surrounding her as she took a defensive posture. Already accelerating, she immediately glowed with another light, this time a glow of blue filled with silver motes that hardened into a crystalline shield before fading from sight. ”Protect!”
So it began.

Lloyd had always known Nona hated him, and he hated her too. But there was a level of connection there with wanting to be better and shine farther than she did. So this day...let them prove to each other their wills. No matter who wins, Lloyd would give it his all. In that silence they stared the other down feeling the tension of the situation climbing to a fever pitch. A gentle breeze rippled the water and then once it calmed, the battle began.
Nona cast protect on herself, however Lloyd wiped out his free hand rocketing a blizzard at the pink locked woman. Wasting not a moment longer, Lloyd bent his knees and dashed forward leveling his spear. Upon reaching Nona he swung the weapon in an vertical arc aiming for her. Then he slammed the blade tip into the ground and bolted his body around the spear sending a powerful kick for her midsection. His turquoise irises were aflame with excitement and his battle cry did not betray that emotion.

If there was anyone who knew Nipal’s fighting habits (besides his instructors), it was Nona. Start off with a spell, close the distance quick. His magic wasn’t particularly strong, but it served its purpose. Nona didn’t try too hard to evade it, saving her attention for what she knew was coming. The frozen missile caught her side, sending a jarring cold through her midsection. She barely even felt the cut that split her shirt and jacket for how numb the area quickly became. Nipal was on her in a moment, bringing his spear down in a downward slash. He was quicker than ever, but Nona had her spell and just enough terrain to maneuver with. She bounded back just to the edge of the cliff, out of reach.
The spear buried its head in the ground and he transitioned from one move into the next with all the ease of flowing water. In an effort to avoid going over the edge, Nona threw herself to one side, but Nipal’s foot still caught her right near her wounded side. The angle kept her from getting pushed back, the blow glancing off, but even with the numbness it sent a cracking pain through the area as if her body were ice being split.
On the upside, the two were caught between the arches where the spear couldn't be freely swung about and Nipal had momentarily rooted himself to the ground. Nona grinned as she cast, a baleful gray light surrounding her. ”Slow down,” she commanded, the flood of light swarming over Nipal. Nona wasn’t sure if it was enough to bring him completely nullify what his GF enhanced in him, but between Bahamut’s speed and her spell she would be at a substantial advantage. That wasn’t enough, though. Rather than attack, Nona broke from the melee, already surrounding herself with another nimbus of light as she side-stepped away and toward the steps. ”Double,” she invoked, surrounded by a violet glow.
Let’s see how fast you are now, she thought, keeping on the defensive.

Nona had skipped back but Lloyd's kick struck true. However he gave her just what she wanted, space. "Damn.." he gritted his teeth feeling the effects of slow hinder his movements. Leviathan granted him greater speed but right now it was reduced to that of a normal person. Lloyd smirked a bit at her tactic, it was smart to be sure. That just meant he'd have to work harder to close the distance. At the cast of double, Lloyd un-rooted his spear and dashed toward her.
His legs felt weighted down but he would work through it until the spell wore off. Lloyd reached into a little sack on his lower back and grabbed a special something. 'This is gonna be a blast' he muttered and chuckled at his little joke. But really though, it was. He had an idea! Lloyd cast out the object for Nona and it rolled at her feet. A grenade. Seizing the opportunity, Lloyd made a gamble and guessed which direction she would dodge to. "Gotcha!" with his already cast out hand a large orb of water sprouted up and burst with pressure. Hopefully she dodged straight into his watera trap.

Nona had been trained hard enough to know a grenade when she saw it. Nipal rolled it instead of hurled, and on instinct she back-stepped in an effort to get away from the device. He read her well, though, and she raised her eyes just in time to see a watery missile streaking toward her. The blast caught her in the chest like a fire hose. Nona was thrown head-over-heels backward and over the marble steps, shouting out something that might’ve been a curse as she struggled to right herself. She came down near the edge of the pool, managing to land on her feet and duck down. The grenade exploded at the top of the stairs, but it flung all its shrapnel over her head in a spray of dirt and grass and a few chunks of marble.
Nona was back on her feet a moment later, surrounded by a glow of magic. Through the cloud of dust and debris her unnaturally sharp eyes could see Nipal. ”Thundara!” she called to the heavens, and the heavens answered with a rumble and a smell of ozone. Not just once, though; a bolt came down at Nipal from his left, then almost immediately from his right, seeking him out like the tallest tree on a mountaintop. Nona wasn’t done, though. Pointing with her sword like a captain bellowing for a full barrage of cannons, she shouted ”Blizzara! Out in front of her swirled an icy wind full of shards of ice sharp as razors, as though Nona commanded winter itself. If that weren’t enough, she thrust her sword upward, and from beneath Nipal erupted another storm of icicles, whirling and cutting.

Yes he got her! Wait...dammit he let her get distance again! Sure enough Nona began her assault and it hit hard. It began with the thundara that lanced him from the right then left. He managed to dodge on of the bolts due to the smoke from the grenade, but was caught by the other. But it wasn't over yet, from below him he could feel the sub zero temperatures of the Blizzara before it erupted beneath him. He stepped by and guarded himself by crossing his arms, the storm of icicles shredded through his clothes and sent him back. Blood forked down all over his body and his shirt was in near tatters. He coughed and got to his feet spitting out blood that had gathered in his mouth. "Alright then...let's go!" He roared and made another bee line for Nona.
Lloyd was serious now and cast out his hand. "Water!" he shouted as the spell was set to discharge at her feet. The moment he reached her, Lloyd looped around the eruption sharply pulling back his spear before releasing a flurry of multi-stabs upon Nona. He bolting around roundhouse for Nona, however he feinted the blow and sharply spun on his feet as his dual hound charged dangerously. His fist darted forward through his feint and if it made contact then the discharging blow would fire with the second impact. The effects of slow were still upon him, but he knew very soon he'd be back at full speed then he wouldn't let her have a moment to rest.

Nona couldn’t tell how many of her spells had hit; even with her enhanced eyes, the cloud of debris thrown up by the grenade tampered with depth perception and she was aiming at a shadow. Nipal burst out of the shadows with a roar that made her grin; his clothes were torn and smoking faintly. She knew his game and didn’t have to see the glow of magic around him to know he was throwing another spell to fill the gap. She skipped away from the water’s edge to the right, his spell erupting behind her; he didn’t risk using another missile yet for fear of giving her room to maneuver. Then he was on her like scales on either of their GFs.
Nona didn’t get the most powerful of boosts to her speed, but she was still measurably faster than the average SeeD combatant, and that was exactly what her opponent had been reduced to. Nipal twirled and stabbed with his spear over and over, but Nona was quicker. The ring of steel on steel filled the air as her sword swept the spear aside. She struck out with the scabbard in her other hand, but Nipal turned it aside in turn and stabbed again. Though fundamentally faster, Nona was not as experienced in close combat and an energetic exchange followed. She knocked away the spearhead or melted aside with sword or scabbard between herself and the weapon; she lashed out when Nipal backed off, but he turned her attack and struck out with the butt or spearhead again. Nona lost count of the exchanges, but the clear mountain air rang with a song of steel on steel.
Nona got too comfortable in the exchange. Nipal broke from the furious spear assault and made to kick. She juked to one side to try and avoid, but it was a feint. His fist caught her in the shoulder. She knew what was coming in the fraction of a second between first and second impact.
The sound was like a gunshot, hurling Nona backward across the pool. Some of her hair stuck out at strange angles from the lingering static and her jacket and shirt were singed badly at the shoulder. She landed in a rough roll, forced to stagger back to her feet though it was harder to control her muscles. Gasping for breath, Nona surrounded herself with a glow of magic. ”Cura!” she breathed, a warm green light enveloping her once, then twice. When the second glow faded, her trembles had vanished, bruises and spasms chased away by the mending magic. From across the pond, she grinned at Nipal, her golden-brown eyes alight with the thrill of battle.
”Blizzara,” she declared, pointing across the pond at Nipal with the scabbard of her sword. Another frozen wind rushed from her, freezing the grass and the surface of the water as it passed. She swept the scabbard downward and the spell’s echo formed above Nipal’s head, crashing down on him with the fury of winter.

Magic: Watera (2), Water (3), Blizzard (2) Items:Potion(3) Granade(1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ((OOC: Song of the moment:
Clash upon clash, the power of their blow sent sparks out as metal slid across metal. The blow had connected but it was clear these two were far from finished. The ferocity of there battle was about to reach its fever pitch and now...it was time to unleash their full might. Lloyd had taken a breath and used the opportunity to draw an Esuna from Nona. This time he felt the coldness of her blizzara and flipped out of the way just barely avoiding the icy onslaught. The spell burst in front of him sending out a gale of winter's wind whipping their air back. The blonde reached for a potion and down its contents feeling his minor cuts and wounds mending, although his damaged clothes were a lost cause. However, he grinned at this challenge. He could feel the atmosphere between them super charged with years of rivalry at lat coming to a head. Nona had not disappointed in the slightest. She was one hell of a spellcaster, that much was certain while Lloyd was more close combat specialized. They complimented each other well when they fought side by side but here...it was time to not hold back any longer. "You're a regular angel of death, ain't ya Nona?" he said to her casting the Esuna on himself feeling slow's effect melt away. "So...let's stop holding back, huh?" he said casting off his tattered upper clothing leaving a toned bare upper body and also his shoes as well leaving his tested bare feet. Scars and testaments to his training as a cadet were wore as proud badges of how far he had some now. This was the form of the so called "fisherman's son". It was common to see men without upper clothing when battling a big catch. They would battle that undersea beast against the elements with the fire of courage raging in their hearts. For Lloyd, Nona was that catch of a lifetime. He wanted to fight her now with unrestrained movements of simple cotton nor cloth weighing down his shoulders. This would have been the first time that she would have seen Lloyd like this. He felt free now, completely unrestrained. There was no Resistance, there was no worrying about others, there was no other conflict. Yes...there was only this battle here and now! Lloyd pulled back his right leg and held his spear tightly in his left hand. His body was low like a serpent coiling and preparing to strike. Suddenly from around his body multicolored orbs rapidly rotated from his feet and dispersed over his head. Dissidia (at 3:34)The elongation of Lloyd's pupils were a clear indication of what was to follow. Behind him over the now darkened vast cloud field, towers of water erupted towering all over the airy field behind Lloyd flowing continuously. Directly behind him surrounded by a cluster of upward flowing water towers rose the Ruler of Sea, Leviathan. Lloyd's emotions hit a fever pitch as his eyes widened now. "Let's end this!" The Spear pointed forward now at his perfect rival, "Nona!" With a mighty roar Leviathan mirroring Lloyd's emotion, the GF reared up as the final battle was sure to begin.

Nona grimaced as the Esuna spell left her, but it turned into a smirk; it had certainly taken him long enough to grab. Nipal didn’t close the distance again, though; instead, they came back to words. Nona’s yellow-brown eyes gleamed with excitement just as his sea green ones did. ”I guess we really couldn’t leave it at this level,” she remarked almost sadly as she scabbarded her sword and laid it on the grass in front of her. They stood across the reflective pool from one another. While Lloyd tossed away his upper clothing, Nona threw off her cap and shrugged off her jacket, using one hand to smooth out her hair. Beneath was a simple dark tank top and the marks her own life had left upon her. The twisted scarred flesh ran down her neck and over her shoulder, vanishing under her shirt and flowing down the outside of her arm in a trail of maimed skin. Nona’s arms were taut and strong, if not as impressive as Lloyd’s own.
She needed the same freedom of movement if she hoped to keep up with him in the slightest. Nothing less than her best was fit for this. She knelt down and picked up the tasseled sword again, watching as Lloyd called to the creature which tied its soul to his. In the darkened daylight, Lloyd could see Nona’s expression at the aquatic display. Erupting waters reflected in her eyes and Leviathan’s cry filled the air. It was admiration there, on her face. A restrained, personal sort of respect. ”Hail, lord of the seas,” she murmured.
It looked for a few moments like the sun was hidden just behind Nona’s hand, flickering just around the edges so brightly as to blind an onlookers’ vision. The air around her shimmered with the heat of a desert mirage. Her fingers curled slowly and the shimmer became a palpable power; a matrix of energy drawn from the surrounding world. A breeze tickled Lloyd’s cheeks, then a wind tossed his hair. Then the entire plateau seemed to be slowly swallowed up by a growing gale, forcing the grass to bend and the clouds all around them to swirl. Nona was not untouched by it, but she stood as the calm center of the storm, awash in a deep blue aura that seemed to curl sometimes into runes too ancient and powerful for mortal eyes to translate into simple words.
It’s time.
Nona thrust her hand upward and the glow of magic shot from her like an artillery shell launched straight into the air. The aura surged upward around the brilliant glowing shape that was too bright to be looked at, trailing a tower of wavering runes etched in light upon the air. Around Nona the ground was swallowed up for an instant by a complex circle filled with shapes and symbols that could not be comprehended. Then they blurred out of focus, their presence too powerful for the world she had drawn them down into, and left behind only flickering embers of power that did not scorch the grass as they slowly faded.
Above the plateau, the clouds swirled into a churning vortex. Already darkened by the summoning of the great serpent, now lightning stabbed through the clouds. A cry of thunder crashed down upon those below. In the distance, the skies cracked again and again, split by bolts of that primal, terrifying energy. Nowhere was it darker than straight over them, where the storm spiraled toward one point as though some unseen rift were there to swallow it all. The clouds bulged and swelled there, dark and dense even when lightning illuminated them.
The clouds burst and wept. Out of the great swell swept the dragon king, armored in scales and frightening strength. As he dove through the clouds, they loosed their torrent. Rain poured down upon the battlefield, the gods, and the mortals who called them. Bahamut plummeted downward, before throwing open great wings to right himself. The motion threw another gale across the battlefield. Rain plastered Nona’s hair to her head as she drew her sword, the dragon king’s great wings beating as he lowered himself behind her. The rumble of his growl as a deeper thunder than that which filled the sky after each distant flash.
”End it? This is just getting fun!” Nona declared with a laugh and a fierce grin. ”Shell!” she declared, the air pulsing around her with a pinkish-red glow in a spherical shape that rapidly faded. It didn’t just cover her, though; as she raised her sword, the same protective glow encased Bahamut. With a commanding motion, Nona swept the blade downward, pointing it at Lloyd and Leviathan together.
The great dragon swept over her with a trumpeting roar, launching just over her head. Enormous jaws and rending talons opened as he charged the two; if Lloyd didn’t dodge, he might well get caught in the attack meant for Leviathan.

The sky cracked open and from on high descended the Dragon King, Bahamut. Lloyd grinned finally being on the opposite side of him. Nothing was standing in their way now! Leviathan's eyes flared in defiance prepared to face Bahamut in a brutal brawl as water drills began to accumulate into larger scaled ones gathering around him. "King of GFs, huh? Let's put that to the test!" Leviathan roared once more, although this time it has cast Haste on Lloyd and itself. Rain pelted the battleground and the storm of battle howled with immense fury. Lightning splintered and illuminated the sky for just a moment displaying Nona on one side with Bahamut and Lloyd on the other with Leviathan. Bahamut was the first to move and charged Leviathan with Lloyd caught in the middle. From his stance, Lloyd bolted to the right and directly for Nona leaping up shrouded by the dark clouds. With another crack of lightning his descent was illuminated as he pointed the spearhead down for her. Had she moved, the moment Lloyd landed he would have spun swinging in a arc. The sheer speed and force of the attack bisected water droplets. He wouldn't let her get away again! Leviathan and the water drills darted forward but upon contact, it constricted around Bahamut and jaws slammed down on its neck as the water drills collided into the dragon one after the other sending them barreling off of the battleground and into the dark clouds. ⋘Leviathan⋙ Appearance: LeviathanLevel: 4 HP: 2000 Personal Stats Strength: B // Magic: A+ // Vitality: B // Speed: A // Luck: C

Bahamut’s powerful wings beat, and even with the weight of the serpent coiled around him, the Dragon King held himself aloft. As they wrestled, Leviathan's towering blasts of water crashed into them both, one after another. Bahamut's wings beat to throw himself partially out of the way, but each made at least a partial hit. Claws the size of scythe blades and teeth like swords seized the fleshy body coiled around him, one of them seizing the serpent’s throat in an effort to tear its jaws off him. Both beasts were enormous coils of muscle armored in scales, but Bahamut’s greater strength won out between the two, steadily crushing the serpent's throat while the other paw tore into its coiled body. Even then, Leviathan’s jaws drew first blood, needle fangs tearing into the small openings between scales. With a roar that drowned out the thunder around them, the Dragon King opened his jaws wide mere feet from the serpent’s face. A lance of lightning erupted from his jaws, filling the air with the smell of ozone and another roar of thunder.
On the ground, Nona had just enough time to throw another spell after Bahamut before Lloyd was on her. ”Haste!” she called through the storm, a swirl of green magic flowing from her to the great beast. Once again the spell echoed, covering both of them. But then she was on the defensive as Lloyd came crashing down just in front of her. Nona had to throw herself backward, but the desperate maneuver wasn’t enough to escape his onslaught. He was already the faster of the two of them, and now sped by a Haste spell of his own, the gulf had only widened. The hasty defense left Nona open for the follow-up swing, and her only recourse was to put her scabbard between herself and the blow. Lloyd’s spear bit into the thick wooden defense and tore it from her hand, leaving Nona to grasp her sword in a two-handed grip. In the storm she couldn’t even see where it landed. The blow had sent a jolt up her arm, and for the moment it was all Nona could do to fend off the flurry of spear slashes. Lloyd steadily beat her backward across the grassy plateau, spear and sword slashes parting the rain over and over. In the midst of the flurry, Lloyd managed to reverse a swing to catch her off-guard. His spear slashed up Nona’s arm, flinging blood out into the rain. The bloodletting earned a small cry of pain from the girl before she gritted her teeth, refusing to give Lloyd an opening to drive through. Nona’s protective spell weakened the blow, but it was clear who had the upper hand.
Unable to find an opening for a counter-slash, Nona resorted to a different gambit. With a grunt, she threw herself into one of Lloyd’s swings, sword between herself and the spear. He had the advantage of reach, but up close it was harder to maneuver. Nona let go of the blade with one hand and stuck it right in front of Lloyd’s chest. ”Blizzard!” she demanded, and Lloyd felt the spell sapped right from his own body before it was thrown back at him at point-blank range. No sooner than the first shard of ice had fired, a second followed.

We saw the power to change the future We desire the courage to face toward the future Junctions: Leviathan Level: 18 Health: 1300/1800 *Haste* Mood: "I'll show you" Location: ??? Magic: Watera (1), Water (3), Blizzard (1) Items:Potion(3) Granade(1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Song of the moment: Clash of Rulers
The sky roared with thunders and flashed with lightning as the war of rulers took place within its grasp. The lord of seas had the King of Gfs in a vice grip even after being seized by it. Lighting crackled in Bahamut's maw and Leviathan cracked open its jaws allowing a white globe to swirl into existence. Bahamut's thunder spell was released at the same time as Leviathan's Holy. Thus, creating a great explosion within the torrent of clouds. The explosion expanded into a sphere and vaporized the clouds in that immediate area. Meanwhile on the platform, Lloyd was upon Nona like a viper striking after its prey. Again and again, his spear struck for Nona relentlessly. His entire body was focused so he turned with the swings and made use of his acrobatic body well. The edge of the spearhead bisected droplets of rain narrowly missing his rival. He had to keep on the pressure like this, one slip up and he could be the one in trouble. There! Lloyd caught her off guard and his spearhead sliced up Nona's arm landing a blow. Without missing a beat, Lloyd changed his stance and thrusted forward aiming to run her through and finish this. However, he didn't count on her rushing forward as well. It was in this moment that the explosion caused by their two GFs illuminated the sky causing a moment of blindness. In that split second Nona had found her chance. Just as Lloyd's pupils refocused, he could feel a terrible chill near his chest. His eyes widened just in time to see Nona steal his blizzard spell and fire two at him from point blank range. Even with Haste, Lloyd had next to no time to make it away from this one. He lept back and managed to counter the first blizzard with a swing of his spear. The metal collided with the ice and was met with resistance but managed to come through in the end. However, the blonde had not anticipated the second volley. Taking a sharp breath, Lloyd leapt to the right in an attempt to dodge the shard of ice. However, he was too late. The spell collided with his shoulder and shattered causing Lloyd to cry out in agony at the blow. Lloyd composed himself and lightning flashed as he prepared himself for another charge. However, this time his tactics had changed. "Watera!" With another flash of lightning, Lloyd cast out his hand causing a orb of water to materialize and float towards Nona. He wasn't done however, Lloyd then threw his spear at Nona with precise aim. With that, he darted directly behind his weapon as his dual hound crackling to life once more. This was his aim, using the spear to distract her then strike her into the approaching spell. The moment he was close enough, Lloyd whipped around his opponent. With a roar he bolted forward his pile bunker for Nona's back aiming to send her into the Watera spell. ⋘Leviathan⋙ Appearance: LeviathanLevel: 4 HP: 1500 Personal Stats Strength: B // Magic: A+ // Vitality: B // Speed: A // Luck: C
