From Nascar.comThe fallout continues. 5-hour energy has said "We are still evaluating our ongoing participation with NASCAR and we don't expect to make a decision until the racing season is over.'' I have a feeling they are gone as well.

Wtf, it's not like the whole team of MWR took PEDs
Jk,but this just seems so similar. Baseball players lose their sponsors for using PED's and now racing teams lose them for manipulating the outcome of the final race before the chase, but I didnt really see this coming

I have a feeling they are gone as well. I agree. Napa already pulled out because of MWR's antics and hopefully Aaron's will too. I dislike the fact that Clint comes up after the race is over and acts like everyone is making a big deal over nothing. Everyone has heard the radio communication and watched you purposely spin out. Why try denying it?

Why try denying it? Aaron's stated on 9/19 "Aaron’s thanks NASCAR fans for their loyalty. After a 14-year sponsorship of MWR, we remain dedicated to MWR, to NASCAR and to the fans." So it looks like they're staying. As for Clint, I don't think he can come clean at this point, as NASCAR would be forced to drop more penalties on him and his team. He's chosen his path, and now he has to stick with it. Maybe after he retires he'll admit it, but not anytime soon.

Clint just needs to lay low for a while and the next time he thinks about helping out a teammate to be aware that NASCAR and its fans are watching and listening. Here's to hoping Clint falls further in the points and hoping Matt gets the championship because he's won the most and he's performing just like a champion should when it's go time.

I have a feeling they are gone as well. Who has fox ears, and is wrong? Me! 5-hour energy released a statement today that they are staying with MWR. In a way, I'm relieved, because it's not another bombshell, plus there are a lot of people at MWR, who had nothing to do with Spingate and were in danger of losing their jobs over this, who can breathe a little easier now.

Sponsor reviews partnership with Michael Waltrip Racing, decides to maintain relationship
Michael Waltrip Racing needed some good news after the Richmond scandal, and it got it in the form of 5-Hour Energy's pledge to back Clint Bowyer's No. 15 MWR Toyota for 2014. The company announced its decision on its Facebook page early Friday, explaining that it decided to say something earlier than usual because of the number of people impacted by it, particularly hard-working MWR employees, the statement read. 5-Hour Energy's decision to continue as Bowyer's sponsor came a little more than a week after NAPA Auto Parts parted ways with MWR and the No. 56 Toyota of Martin Truex Jr. over the penalties at Richmond. NAPA's statement said that it believed in fair play and did not condone the actions that led to the penalties after Richmond, the final race before the 2013 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup began.
