The foyer is the first room anyone entering the guild of nobility will see, and serves as a nexus to the other areas of the building. This grand room in always a comfortable temperature and refreshments always seem to be available.
The foyer is open to everyone, regardless of affiliation with the Guild of Nobility.
Level:► 0(7/20) Lord Raz pushed open the larges double doors into the grand entry hall of the large mansion that served as the base of operations for the guild of nobility. The stories about the guild of nobility and it’s knights Raz was told when he was still just a little dove filled him with excitement. He would dream of joining their ranks and battling evil doers to bring peace to the land. He wanted to be a hero. The young Valkirye would even swings sticks around, pretending they were swords and he was a knight fighting evil monsters. He could hardly contain his excitement as he pushed the doors open and stepped into the building.
As Raziel took his first few steps into the manor, and the clacking of his sandals on the tile floor echoed in the silence, his nearly constant smile faded to a sad frown. The pace was empty, there was absolutely no one there. The knights of nobility where gone. Raz let himself fall into a ofortable chair and helped himself to the cookies on a nearby table. He was surprised when he discovered that they were still warn, and accompanied by a picture of fresh milk. The smile returned to his face as he enjoyed the snack. Raz was certain that nobody was here, but maybe someone would come back soon.
A few weeks after Raziel arrived at the guild hall…
Raz entered the foyer from the dormitories and slumped in a nearby chair. He took a handful of nuts from the bowl on the table and poured himself a glass of grape juice from the picture. Every time he came into the room, new snacks where waiting for him. The young Valkyrie knew that no one else had been in the room, so he concluded that it must be some form of magic foreign to him. He had been wandering the halls for weeks, and still no one had returned, and Raz as beginning to wonder if anyone ever would. If not, then he would take it upon himself to restore the knights of nobility himself.

Saphial wondered up to the building of the Guild of Nobility. She had long heard about it's tall tales and gallant knights, rumors that they suddenly vanished without a trace. such rumors were what brought the curious Koroki to investigate. There were many such rumors all over the place about the guilds. Many of the leaders had disappeared or vanished. Where they went or where they had vanished from no one seem to know. As a cleric she felt it was her duty to come to the bottom of these things. So here she was now standing in at the doors.
She ran a hand over the top of her bag making sure her possions were close by. Her sprite guide, Knit hover around her head lazily fluttering it's red translucent wings. "It doesn't look like anyone is here. It's like a haunted house." The sprite said in the Koroki's mind. Rarely did the sprite speak aloud. Saphial believe it just didn't like it's voice which sounded like a mouse squeaking.
"Well you never know. Beside don't you want to fin' out if it is actually haunted?" Spahial said aloud. she was used to speaking to the sprite and once people saw it they under stood to the point. Mainly though she liked speaking her thoughts aloud. She pushed open the doors that swung smoothly aside. A breath escaped her as she looked at the beautiful interior. Everything looked tidy and kept up. Everything was warm and in working order. It was just empty, well almost. There was someone inside a man. She grinned as she scampered up to the chair in the middle of the foyer. "Hello! My name is Saphial. Are you a knight? Are you the only one here? Do you have a sword?" She asked curiously as a barrage of questions emitted forth. He was the first person the child like Koroki arrived in the area, thus he was the center of attention.

Level:► 0(8/20) Lord Raziel relaxed in the lounge chair he was in and snacked from the bowel of mixed nuts. He was starting to get lonely. The guildhall was grand and provided him with anything could possibly need, but he didn’t like being all alone. The Valkyrie couldn’t leave though; he had to stay in case anyone came back, or at the very least someone else that was seeking the knights. Raz was surprised that he hadn’t seen anyone else yet, if not a member of the guild, than someone seeking aid from them.
Raz stood from the comfortable lounge chair in which he was seated and stretched his beautiful white wings, which had been folded behind him. The Valkyrie smiled down at what appeared to be a young girl. He was glad to see someone else, even if it was a child. He listened closely to her questions and tried to answer all of them to the best of his abilities.“Umm…no, yes, and I only have that.”Raz motioned to the silver scythe resting in corner. Things had been peaceful so far, and the one that calls herself Saphial didn’t seem to be any threat, so he didn’t see the need to carry it with him. Razial preferred not to fight if he didn’t have to anyway.“I’m Raziel.”He said with a bright smile.

Her eyes were already wandering around the building as she tried to get a better look around the place. She looked over at his weapon as soon as he pointed it out and they had a sort of twinkle in them. Her feet pounded in place a couple times before prancing over. Her sprite dutifully bobbing around her head. she examined the Scythe carefully, her eyes darting over it's edges an curves. It seemed to be well taken care of, and to be a scythe wielder required a lot of skill. She was instantly distracted from the weapon as soon as he said his name. Her eyes widened as she noticed his white wings.
"His Raz! Do you mind if I call you Raz? Well anyway, why is it so empty, do you know anything why everyone went away?" She asked. As always several questions coming out of her mouth first. With each statement and question she walked back over to him until she stood in front of him with her hands clasped. "Can I touch your wings, pretty please?" She said with a slight pout making her eyes as big as they could go. It was mainly curiosity that drove her to say such a thing, but they looked so white and fluffy. She really did want to touch one.

Raz watched the small skip over to his scythe in the corner girl with his head cocked to the side. His pale blue eyes mostly watched the crimson sprite fluttering around her. This was the first time he had seen the small sprit, and it’s presence meant that the girl was probably a Koroki which meant she wasn’t really a child at all.“It’s sharp.” He warned, not wanting the girl to touch the blade and injure herself. Even if she wasn’t a child, it was in Raz’s nature to be protective. The Valkyrie didn’t use the weapon very often, but he kept the blade honed to a razor’s edge for the same reason he kept his silver scythe close by, just in case.
Raz smiled at the nickname. “Of course you can call me Raz!”Raz was the name his friends used before he left his home. Hearing it again, even from a stranger, brought him some comfort. The angelic Valkyrie looked down at Saphial when she was finished with her string of questions.“There was a battle…”he began, but was cut off by yet another question. Raz flushed a light pink at the request, more from surprise than embarrassment. Thankfully, it wasn’t that noticeable, despite his pale skin. “If…if you really want. Be careful though.”His wings where very soft, and though an occasionally he would lose a feather naturally, it was very painful to have one pulled out. He didn’t think the girl would purposely hurt him, but accidents did happen.

Sappy climbed up on the chair to get a better advantage, as well as a better look at her main target. As she flexed her fingers for a moment, she stared at the pure white wings. She rarely got to examine actual wings on a person. She felt giddy just for this opportunity. At first she lightly touched the feathers. She couldn't help but gasp slightly at how soft the feathers were. "Ohh my, it's so soft...." She murmured letting her cheek touch the wing.
Knit flew around her head in a twitter. "What are you doing! We're suppose to be finding out about the Knights. Not messing with someone's wings! He's not a toy," The sprite said in exasperation. He knew it wouldn't do much good, but he at least had to try to control Saphial to a point.
"It'll be fine." She said quietly, before placing her face next to Raziel. "So what were you saying about the knights again?" She asked him limiting herself to one question this time. Her fingers were stroking the feathers following where they started. she looked for were the bones were and how they were shaped and such. Her curiosity wondering how they would move.

Raz watched the small girl with amusement as she ran her hand along the snowy feathers. He giggled lightly at her reaction and because her touch tickled a little. Raz watched the crimson sprite flutter franticly around the girls head, as if it was angry or excited about something, the Valkyrie couldn’t tell which. Saphial told the sprite that everything would be fine, so it was obvious whatever it was trying to communicate to her got through.
Raz seated himself back in the lounge chair, leaving the wing the Koroki girl was stroking stretched out but folding the other behind him. “There was a battle.” he continued again. “Someone took over the guild of evolution and waged war on the other guilds. “ Raz explained. He didn’t know everything about the tale, but he tried his best to tell in accurately. “He slaughtered the guild heads. All of them.” They young Valkyrie bowed his head, as if in honor of the slain guild heads. After a moment of silence, he began to speak again. “The knights of nobility attacked evolution, had it not been for their brave stand the damage from the war would have been twenty times worse.” Raz continued to stare at the floor and shook his head. “I don’t know what happened after that.” He looked up at the girl and smiled. “I’m here now though, and I’m knowing to reestablish the knights.”

"So the knights are now gone. Then it's unfortunate to say the other guild leaders are vanquished as well. I suspected as much." Saphial said her tone dropping an octave to a more serious tone. She sighed sitting down still stroking the wing but now more in thought and because it was soft to touch. "I suppose there's nothing I can do then if they are already dead."
"It seems the rumors were true. We should leave Sappy. There's nothing for us to do here anymore and you don't need to irritate this poor man any more." The sprite said fluttering around her head.
"No there must be something I can do." Saphial said stubbornly to her sprite. Although it sounded more like she just answered herself. She looked up at Raz, "You are going to revive the knights right Raz? Well then we can revive the guilds together. I want to see if there are any survivors of the others guilds. See who lives and who hasn't. Maybe we can help piece everything together, the way it should be." She said her eyes burning fiercely with determination. "Would you like to come with me?"

Just then, a moving and clinking pile of silver and gold ornaments barged into the lavishly decorated room. Polished chandeliers, paperweights, vases and even cutlery were all clattering merrily against one another, balanced precariously and held in a messy bundle by a few coils of ropes in a parody of a yarn ball. Upon closer inspection once one got pass the light dancing over their reflective surface, a pair of clawed hands carrying the ball of silver and gold could be seen.
It stopped just as it stepped into the room,presumably finally noticing the two other occupants and a pale hooded nikatal head popped out from behind to blink owlishly at them. A pregnant pause ensued as Ace tried to connect some dots in his mind and make an estimate of how much trouble he was in right now. How freaking long had those two been in here? He had been sure that the place had been abandoned and it had only taken him a quarter of an hour to gather his loot, but he had to be greedy.
"Why, hello, there. I thought I had put up a warning about solicitors," he finally tried as he carefully sized up the valkyrie and koroki before him. A scythe and a staff, both with a longer range then his dagger. Not to mention the koroki looked like an adept magic user despite her short stature. The other man was slightly taller than him, but his wings may prove to be a burden in such a confined space even if its powerful muscles looked as though they could pack a mean slap. All in all, things did not bode well, but strangely enough, Ace was feeling rather calm and not really in a hurry to scamper off. In fact, he had not been this calm since the last time he had sniffed some weird powder.

The Koroki looked over her shoulder at the thief in the mansion. She seemed rather amused at how the thief reacted to their presence. "Oh yes because we're the ones completely breaking the law here." She stated her eyes giving a slight roll up in her head. Dropping the wing she had been playing with Saphial climbed to her feet. She stood straight with her hands on her hips facing him. "Do you really think you are going to get away from stealing from the knights?"
Her sprite circled her head in a frenzy,"Sappy don't do anything stupid! You don't know what this guy is capable of. We don't need any more trouble."The sprite said in it's high pitched exasperated voice.
Saphial waved her sprite off ignoring the advice as usual. "Go keep watch for others." she told the sprite and Knit zoomed off out of sight a feeling of disapproval echoing in her mind at the same time. She pulled out her staff out of her bag, pointing the weapon at the thief. "So I have a question for you? Are you going to surrender or are you going to put up a fight?" she said in a cheery voice as she giggled. "One guess as to what I want you to choose."

Raz nodded in dismay. He didn’t know what would happen without the guilds to maintain a balance in the world. He had hoped the other guilds hadn’t suffered the same fate as the guild of nobility, but he had a terrible feeling that they had, that everything was gone. No one from the guild of government or house of peace had tried to contact him, which just reinforced the thought that both had been demolished as well. “I will rebuild the knights, start recruiting.” Raz smiled brightly at the koroki girl and nodded. “Yes, I’ll go with you. I was hoping that they would come back.” The Valkyrie looked to the floor sadly. “I see now that was just a hollow dream though.” He looked back up to Saphial, another smile gracing his lips. “I’m sure I’ll have more…” he ended his sentence prematurely as clunky collection of objects entered the room.
Raz watched with mild amusement as the cat-like creature stared back at them and tried to explain himself. Raz was angrier with himself for letting the creature get past him then he was the thief. The Valkyrie let out a discontented sight at Saphial’s jump to violence. With fluid movements, Raz stood from his seat, how powerful presence filling the room, and he lifted a wing in front of the koroki girl, separating her from the cat thief. “Hello.” Raz greeted the thief and flashed a friendly smile. “That looks really heavy, why don’t you put it down for a while and join us for tea?” he motioned to a table with a kettle and three teacups resting on it.
Ace let out his best indignant sputter at the woman's unjust accusation and pointedly ignoring her threat. He was an escape artist, not a fighter, nor a lover. "I was merely relieving this place of unnecessary things! I mean, when was the last time anyone made use of these?" he scoffed, waving an expensive looking paperweight carved in what looked like ebony and encrusted with heavy rubies."Though I much prefer option C, thank you very much."
An with that, he unceremoniously plopped down onto one of the plush seats of the foyer despite the rational part of his mind facepalming and yelling at him to just shove the mountain he was still obstinately clutching into the valkyrie and make a run for it. As if getting caught wasn't enough, he was letting his guard down to sip potentially poisoned tea in an abandoned estate of a once thought dead guild with 2 very armed individuals. Those cups were made of the finest porcelain he had seen, he justified to himself as he nabbed an almond cookie, at ease despite or because of the other man's presence.
"Soooo...since when did Nobility still have members running around?" he asked as casually as he could even as he slipped a few silver spoons into his pocket. If he couldn't make it out with most of his loot, he may as well try to go for the informant business. Who were these new people that dared to go against Evolution? Were they trying to stay quiet to avoid their predecessor's fate? "What's the plan to avenge the previous leader's death? I heard Evolution leaves a pretty grisly trail in their wake so finding them shouldn't be an issue, but where do you plan to find the manpower to oppose them?" As Raz held his wing up interfering with her plan to fight, Saphial pouted. She folded her staff placing it back in her bag while she grumbled under her breath, "Hmph I never get to have any fun." Huffing a bit and crossing her arms, she never got to fight anyone. As Raz being to negotiate peacefully she rolled her eyes. Then the winged man offered cookies. Instantly her pouting face went from pouting to ecstatic. She hopped off the seat in the middle of the foyer. She landed with a slight thud before she bounced up then skipped to the table with the cookies. She grabbed one and stuffed it int her mouth, as the cookie crumbled and she chewed she looked at the cat guy and stated, "You're awfully chummy you know, for a thief."
The sprite above her had returned with a report. Once again circling Saphial's head while it relayed the information."There doesn't seem to be anyone else in the area. As far as I can tell. He' seems to be the only one in the immediate vicinity. He's stealing! He's stealing! He has a spoon! He's stealing!"The sprite exclaimed in a panic in sappy's mind. Catching the cat like person in the act.
Saphial nodded her head as the sprite reported to her then she looked at the Nikatal, as he rattled on about Evolution. She grabbed another cookie and started to eat it as well. "Currently we don't plan to jump in and head to our deaths I don't think." She replied automatically lumping herself in with Raz even though she only met him a few minutes ago. "I think the next step is seem what shape the other guilds are in, and try to fix things from what's left. I heard most of the guilds were hit hard. I don't think that spoon is going to help very much in fighting them either." She said pointing at his sleeve. Her sprite was already nagging non stop about it so she might as well mention it to shut the sprite up at least.

Raz gracefully made his way to the table the other two were now seated at and poured tea into the three cups. From a fine glass dish resting on the table, the Valkyrie pulled three sugar cubes and dropped them into his cup. He stirred his tea with a silver spoon and gently set in on the gold embroidered tablecloth. As he slowly sipped his tea, Raz exited the cat’s collection of loot. He had collected nothing but expensive baubles, paperweights, candlesticks, cutlery, nothing of any real value.
Raz sat in a red velvet upholstered chair, folding his wings neatly behind him. He slowly sipped his tea and sat quietly, listening as the other two conversed about the guilds, and what they were planning to do. As the leader of nobility, Raz needed to think about these things. They were certainly in to condition to face chaos in the pathetic state they were in now as Saphial said. Sitting around this empty place as he had been doing wasn’t going to help anything. Gathering information about the other guilds may be a good idea, after all chaos scorned them all and a common enemy was a good start to finding allies.
Afteter remaining silent and listening with a smile, Raz finally took another sip of tea from his cup and spoke. “I will restore the knights. Recruit great warriors and bring hope back to the land.” He sounded unusually cheerful, but that was Raz’s way, never let anything get him down for long, not even complete destruction. He stood and spread out his glorious wings. ”I’ve been sitting here for much too long. Checking out the other guilds would be a good idea, and perhaps I can recruit on the way.” He motioned to the door way and clanked over to the Nikatal thief and gave him a bright smile. “You coming, kitty cat?”
