Hello everyone, I'm Kay, and it looks like I'm the organizer/manager for our art shop(s) this year.
Bolder points are the way the crowd seems to be leaning
On the docket:
Theme
-Yes or no
-What theme?
•Cafe/Pastry
•Elements
Graphics
-Most likely left until after the theme is worked out
Artists
-What artists can make what commitments
-What artists will be doing
-Input on Freebies/Giveaways/Events availability
Layout
-I think I've got a pretty strong format started and there are a few things I'm pretty strongly supporting
•All posts made by Annual Ball Artist Mule (main page)
-Allows artists to come and go as necessary
-doesn't lock us out of posts if artists become unavailable
•Separate thread for pickups
-No muss, no fuss, no confusion
-Every artist gets their own post and can act on it

Artist List?(Let me know if I'm missing anyone.) Calling any and all artsy people! We're starting to work on the shop in earnest. Any and all opinions, ideas, etc is appreciated and were looking to see who wants to get involved.

I personally like themes, mostly so that artists can have an excuse to have a theme-portrait. As for what theme, maybe the Zodiac? Pastries? Fruits? An anime/cartoon that we all like??? haha I'm not good at this.
I will probably be able to offer 2 slots, grab-bag and chibi. We should probably fill out a form on how many slots we can offer, what exactly we're offering, examples, and our prices.
I really like freebies, and will definitely be offering them. I'll say, like, 200 bumps for a sketch or something.
On the layout, we should definitely have the ball information, i.e. the huge ball history spoiler thing. I'm neither here nor there about a staff list, but it isn't that important... Also, I think we should all use the same form, just for convenience.

Yep, I'm definitely clueless when it comes to graphics. Most people seem set on having a theme, so as soon as we know what we're doing, the graphics will be completely up to you guys. sweatdrop

Paraeeeee We should probably fill out a form on how many slots we can offer, what exactly we're offering, examples, and our prices. Most definitely. There will be a standard minimum for information for artist post that includes this stuff. We'll get something up about that soon. For a Staff List, simply, there will be people involved that wouldn't otherwise be listed on the page (only artists would be visible) and it seems appropriate to list who can speak for the thread and the Ball, handle disputes or discrepancies, etc, besides the artists. Oops, already forgot something in my layout. Between the Staff and the artists is supposed to be the post on events, freebies, giveaways, etc. I'll fix that now.

Is there anything in there 11th ball specific that needs to be changed? Otherwise I don't think I'm going to fiddle with anything. eek

I like how it looks so far!
I think the same form is a good idea, as well. The customer could simply quote the artist they want. Makes everything a lot neater and simpler.
As for theme, maybe the pastries theme that Para mentioned? Like a cafe-themed shop? I think that would make a cute thread and some cute graphics. The artists could also draw themselves holding pastries or something, haha.
Um, we could also go back to doing the Elements, something I remembered was used last year. However, that would only allow four artists, so depending on the numbers.

Hello yes I can art c: I do mostly digital Avi/OC art (busts, chibis, portraits). I also draw fanart for various things in my free time. I'm quite happy when I make pixel art 9v9 I'd be happy to do grabbag art or advertise with freebies or somethin'.
Haha, this is my first time doing anything like this, so I'm not sure how it'll work out.

Nah, it was empty other than a banner for the 11th Ball, so I just wrote a load of dribble to make sure it didn't look too bare razz

I think it'll be a good idea to have a link to the shop on the mule's profile, in case someone stumbles upon it randomly.
Or maybe a link in the sig.

Kay, yes you can change the outfit...I did originally...if you change it be sure to tell me so I can get my cheap one back ^.^
