[ Once we leave the bowl it'll turn to private, I guess. xD]
Sh'karin frowned slightly as Inath slowly glided over the herdbeasts corralled in the Weyr Bowl. The brown snaked his head under one wing, peering at what was on offer, a faint tinge of distaste in his tone. They are all skinny at the moment, and Inath pulled out of the glide and beat upwards, causing the terrified creatures below to scatter in panic. "It's the end of the season, love," Sh'karin murmured, arms crossed over his chest and back leaning against a rock that gave him a fair view of the hunting grounds. It was morning, and the weyrling had had a leisurely wake up, finally being dragged outside by his weyrmate's insistent urge for food. I want nice, juicy meat today, and Inath went into a slightly uncharacteristic sulk, causing Sh'karin to throw his hands up lightly in despair.
"Now I can see what you're angling at, you big lump of dragonhide." He raised one eyebrow and grinned. "It's troublesome to go outside for hunting, but I guess it does have one advantage..." No tutoring the babes, Inath said smugly. It is my good idea! "Likely your only one for the day," Sh'karin retorted, putting out his hands to push himself upright from the rock.

Tallith curled his upper lip to reveal a row of sharp and slightly yellow teeth. His great bulk paced the ledge in which he stood upon, his eyes whirling with the red tinge of hunger. He paused a moment then, tongue flicking out as if to taste the air and then he craned back his head to gaze upon his rider who sat slumped against a rock looking rather drowsy.
He snorted, the muscles in his nostrils contracting as he withdrew and fanned his wings a little, eyes scanning the other dragons who were perhaps pondering on food.
It was then that he spotted the younger brown and raised his head to bugle a greeting. Then spinning round as fast as his heavy bulk would allow he nudged his rider into a rather dazed state and chuffed. I'm hungry, others are hungry. May we fly?
"What are you talking about? Go to the Bowl and I'll wait here for you. Silly beast." The rider patted the brown's soft nose. The dragon simply snorted once more, his breath ruffling his rider's hair as the man stood up. Then together they walked to the rim of the ledge and peered around. It was then that L'cian spotted the young rider not too far away. It was always nice to see another fellow brownrider.
Rider of Inath. Tallith chirped up, curving his neck as he extended his great pinions.
"Wasn't he one of the lucky weyrlings to survive the plague?"
I don't remember. Tallith replied, extending his mind to brush against Inath's, you hunt outside of the Weyr today? It was obvious by his hopeful tone that he wished to join the younger brown.

The blue dragon Javareth snorted as he looked out across the Weyrbowl from his perch on his weyr's ledge. Sitting beside him was his rider Nevaeh who was fiddling with a make shift bow and some arrows she had crafted together herself.
The herdbeasts today look terrible mine. I've never seen such stressed and hungered creaures. Javareth commented and then glanced at his rider curiously. Got plans for the day you have not informed me of mine?
Nevaeh chuckled lightly as she held up the bow and plucked the single string pulled tightly against the stick it was tied to. "Don't act clueless Javareth. You know very well we planned to go hunting today. You've been complaining for weeks now that the herdbeasts are looking rather scroungy." Nevaeh said before standing up and walking back into their weyr.
Javareth chuckled nervously. It was true he had been complaining a lot lately. Nevaeh soon reappeared back on the weyr's ledge with Javareth's riding straps and her riding gear. Easily Nevaeh put the riding straps on Javareth and placed on her riding gear. Tying the bow and the arrows to Javareth's straps Nevaeh then leapt up onto Javareth neck ridges and strapped herself in.
"Off we go J." Nevaeh told Javareth and patted him lightly on the neck. Javareth stood and spread his wings flapping them a few times and then gliding off towards the corraled herdbeasts to take one look over them. As they came closer to the herdbeasts the blue dragon and riders spotted the brown weyrling flying over the herdbeasts.
Javareth grumbled and directed his thought speech towards the brown dragon. Not the best meat ever seen is it young one?

Inath peered over at the blue dragon who had glided closer. He was pleased to note that even though he wasn't quite fully grown, he matched the blue in size. He rumbled quietly in the back of his throat. I want to go hunting elsewhere, I think, he replied slightly glibly. It is time mine got some exercise anyway... what of yours?
He pivoted round, gliding back down towards his rider. Sh'karin was fumbling around in the pocket of his dark green jacket, a small frown on his face as he realised that he would have to return to the barracks to pick up a few things before he was ready to go. What a lot of effort to make... He looked up as the brown came closer, and noted the blue dragon and his rider also wheeling over the grounds. He couldn't remember their names, but it was hrdly surprising. The blue is Javareth, said Inath helpfully as he settled down to the ground with a small awkward step.

L'cian laughed, clapping the brown's shoulder and nodding, before cupping his hands over his mouth and calling out to the younger brown rider. The sound of the blue dragon's wings clapping against the wind making speaking normally difficult.
"You hunt elsewhere today!? Mind if me and Tallith join you!?" Then turning to his dragon he vaulted up onto his broad shoulders. The brown was large in size, in fact he could easily be mistaken for a bronze due to his build which made himself rather distinguishable amongst the dragons in Rias. This pleased Tallith immensly.
He fanned his great pinions and bugled once more to the approaching blue, dipping his head as he shuffled sideways.
"Hang on whilst I check the buckles." L'cian muttered through a laugh, tightening the notches and fasting the strap with the ring of leather. "Okay we're good to go. Though I should probably take my work back to the weyr first."

Javareth swung around lazily to swoop over the herdbeast pen once more. Mine the weyrling brown is going hunting as well today. Perhaps we could join together and make it more interesting. Javareth commented as he came to land next to the brown.
"Well as it seems you're not giving me a choice ask them." Nevaeh said glancing over at the male upon the browns back.
Mine and I were planning on hunting elsewhere as well today. Shall we join and perhaps hunt together? Javareth asked the brown before spotting another brown near by and bulging a greeting to him.

Sh'karin blinked as he realised he was being hailed from behind. Someone was talking to him? He picked up the question, and blinked yet again as he realised it was the previous Weyrleader. L'cian wanted to go hunt with them?? He wasn't feeling that sociable, as usual, but his young brown, bugling in return to another greeting, projected wistfullness into his mind. We never go anywhere with the older ones.. we should. Specially if Farin's making us be more in charge of things, and Sh'karin sighed. Inath was obviously taking this 'new responsibility' thing to heart. Somehow he felt his days of constant sunbathing and sleeping in in the mornings were going to be curtailed...
He asked Inath to relay the affirmative to Tallith, and turned his attention to the blue and his rider, a woman who seemed vaguely familiar now. He waved an arm from his position on the ground, sighing inwardly as he wondered what he was getting himself into. "Inath says you go to hunt outside today as well," Sh'karin called. "L'cian and Tallith come too... perhaps we should make it a joint effort?"
He wished the bluerider would come a little closer so he didn't have to pour all that effort into shouting. Walking over to where Inath had crouched, eyes still whirling with hunger, the fifteen year old leant against his partner's shoulder. "Now what have you got me into, huh?" He grumbled softly.
((Kim's gone out, she says go on without here for now, L'cian will probably flick between to where they are later. :3 ))

Nevaeh looked down at the young weyrling brown rider as he spoke. Tossing her leg over Javareth's neck ridge Nevaeh jumped from the blue's neck noteven waiting for the large blue to crouch down. Taking quick strides the blue rider walked up to the brown rider and his dragon and smiled.
"Hunting in a group will surely make it much easier than alone." Nevaeh said and then held out her hand. "Hi. I'm Nevaeh rider of blue Javareth." Javareth grumbled and moved closer to the brown and the two riders and crouched down just behind Nevaeh.
((Ok. That's fine.))

"Pleased to meet you." The weyrling stopped barely stopped himself from just nodding, and took the woman's hand, bowing over it slightly before he caught himself. Damn family and their instilled chivalrous behaviour... "Sh'karin, brown Inath's rider," he completed the greeting. "This hungry lug unfortunately has decided upon this without letting us collect any equipment... would it be alright if we stopped past the barracks for me to collect a few things?" A belt knife hung at his waist, and the wherhide clothes were sturdy enough, but he didn't have the flying straps or any other weapon.

Nevaeh smiled at Sh'karin's greeting. "Of course we can. Javareth's done that to me a few times before. Thinks his stomach comes first." Nevaeh said with a gentle laugh. "Shall we make our way to the barracks then?" Glancing in a few directions Nevaeh chuckled sheepishly. "Speaking of which... Where are the barracks? Javareth and I were transferred here so we don't exactly know the layout of most of the Weyr just yet."
((Sorry had a bit of a brain melt down there. sweatdrop ))

[ No worries. xD *was making her dinner anyway* ]
"Just transferred?" We know more than them, said Inath a tad smugly. "Stop being snide," Sh'karin said absently, before realising that it wasn't tactful to speak out loud in company. "Uh, sorry," he said belatedly, hoping that the bluerider wasn't too offended or would realise the brown's comment must have been about them. "Well, I'll be happy to show you around... to be honest, the weyrling barracks are nothing special." The teenager laughed slightly, starting to walk onwards, Inath blinking and then, with a head dip to Javaraeth, shuffling afterwards.
"I can't wait to have my own weyr and get some peace and quiet for a change." Me either, and Inath's eyes whirled lightly. Neither of them mentioned that that there were too many bad memories pervading there, however dissipated by the arrival of the new weyrlings.

Nevaeh eyed Sh'karin for a few moment before glanced over at Javareth. Javareth looked at Nevaeh and snorted. Weyrlings. Javareth commented and Nevaeh chuckled lightly and followed Sh'karin as he began to walk.
Nevaeh walked beside Sh'karin and nodded at his comment. "Sometimes I miss the loudness of having all of the weyrlings from my Javareth's clutch around. We were all very close. Only about ten of us so we were pretty close nit." Nevaeh said remebering all the adventures she had had with her friends. How she missed them.

Sh'karin didn't answer that. He wasn't sure whether a) the bluerider had been similarly afflicted in the plague, or b) didn't know the situation of the senior weyrlings here at Rias. He'd pretty much buried the hurts now, and didn't want them brought up. It was the past...
"Look, there it is. That squat building over there," and Sh'karin smiled briefly, the expression not quite reaching his grey eyes. "So, which weyr did you transfer from?" He was actually quite interested in this fact; he'd met precious few riders from other weyrs, though he had carried messages to a few of the Northern holds.
[[ Laters then! :3 ]]

Tallith pounced from his ledge, spreading his wings to lengthen the jump from one ledge to another, bringing both himself and the rider closer to the pair of young riders conversing just below them. Then with a loud rumble in his chest the brown curled his wings against his sides and lowered his shoulders to that the Wingleader could let himself down.
Then picking his way back down the rocks to the ledge where the other two stood he paused, hearing the words: transfer and listened with interest. He'd met quite a few transfer riders as Weyrleader and he was wondering how they'd all be getting on. Such things were usually rarely done, but he himself had been a transfer all that time ago.
Now look at us. We are better than before. Tallith murmered softly, the golden ones like us. There was a smugness in his voice that time that showed in his bright blue eyes. L'cian couldn't help but feel slightly pained at this thought however...he hadn't seen his beloved Ephia in a long time...he just hoped that she was being treated well by M'xan.
Ariath is well. Well that was all that needed to be said. If the golden queen was fine then so was her rider...wherever she may be.
Snapping from his reverie he greeted the two riders. "Welcome to Rias, I'm Wingleader L'cian." He announced cheerfully to the blue rider, "we hope you find it comfortable here." He cleared his throat, suddenly embarassed, "sorry to interrupt." He waved his hands in a signal for them to continue.

Nevaeh stopped as she spotted the barracks for the weyrlings. Looked a bit smaller then the ones she had spent most her time in as a weyrling but adequate enough. When the voice of another man came from a little above them Nevaeh glanced up and smiled at him. When he motioned for her to continue Nevaeh glanced back at Sh'karin.
"Well I transferred here from Fort Weyr. Javareth and I spent 10 years there. It was where it all began for me and him." Nevaeh said with a slight sigh before glancing back up at the man who had interupted them. "L'cian yes? You're the other rider that is joining us right?" Nevaeh asked.
He and his brown Tallith were the previous Weyrleaders mine. Javareth commented. He had obviously been asking lots of questions lately.
