Enough was enough. Buddingtonite was getting tired of things not going his way, and so tonight, he felt that he needed to take control of things. Day by day, he was finding himself becoming more exhausted, more frustrated with his lot in life, and that had little to do with just his powered identity. He had thought that his civilian identity would have been enough to protect him from his troubles, or in the very least, give him more manageable problems to deal with.

He thought wrong. Instead, while there were no youma or Senshi there to wreck things, his family was becoming insanely annoying and pushing into his life, and now he had this personal matter of what he thought could possibly be the dreaded 'l' word, but he pushed those thoughts away.

Tonight, he had full intentions of fulfilling his quota of energy for not only the week, but he planned on finalizing the deal on a potential recruit. There was this young man at the True Brews Coffee Shop that he had been working on for over the course of a few weeks and he was one of the many potential recruits he was juggling. Tonight, he was determined to get the young man's signature and put a good name to his resume, and all of it was working just fine. It was Michael's coffee break and they would commence in their weekly habit of meeting in the back alley behind the shop, where Michael would smoke, and Buddingtonite, in full regalia, would whisper sweet promises and nothing in his ear.

Tonight, he was going to seal the deal with this Michael and get a new recruit, and he was determined that none would stop him. "I'd like to extend an offer to you, Michael, one that I'm sure your young heart would jump at the chance for..."

Buyan had been walking past the coffee shop, it was one of the few that stayed open late. In which she'd had intentions on getting a latte. However, a power blip made her pause; looking around she didn't see anything inside the shop nor on her side of the street.

A soft sigh, "I really don't even want to deal with this..." However, there was no one else around as far as power signatures that she could tell and well... things weren't quite what she'd expected when she was powered up. Her Lyre out the page made her way cautiously towards the other signature hoping to perhaps sneak up on the chaos agent?

When she was within ear shot of the other she heard what sounded like a recruiting offer though she couldn't be 100% sure. The Neptune knight settled herself on the dumpster lid and watched in silence for a few moments before speaking up. ". . . Does that chance include harming innocent civilians and directing monsters to kill others?"

The former teacher might've been being a tiny bit of a smart a**. Just a little bit...

When one was able to pick up energy signatures as a form of sixth sense, it should have been impossible that someone from the other side had managed to sneak up on him, or at least that's what the Negaverse captain would have thought. The fact that this page was able to get the drop on him made him wonder if his senses were becoming faulty thanks to his stressful life style and he was too desperately focused on the recruit before him, or perhaps their enemy had learned to mask their auras? He was willing to believe the former over the latter, but that didn't make his anger any less venomous to him, as he pulled away from Michael and glared towards Buyan. "Excuse me, but who's asking you? ... how long have you been there?"

These words fell from his mouth before he had the chance to actually look at the page, and the moment he set crimson eyes on her, he had lost some interest in his recruit. Michael leaned towards the side to get a look at her as well, but his attention was more on her words and what they implied rather than her appearance, like Buddingtonite's was. "What? Kill? Monsters? I don't want any of that!"

Without warning he tried to pull away, but Buddingtonite, though distracted by the page's beauty, wasn't quite eager to let him go. He wrapped his gloved fingers around Michael's wrist and anchored himself down, as he looked towards Buyan with a friendlier smile than when she had first interrupted him. His voice was pitched softer, to be pleasant, and with his free hand he tipped his hat to her, keeping true to the folly that he believed himself to be the utmost definition of a gentleman. "Oh, my apologies, my dear. I didn't mean to shout, but you simply caught me off guard. I'm Captain Buddingtonite of Infiltration. Who might you be?"

Buyan raised an eyebrow as the captain spat at her. "Really is that a way to talk to a lady?" She asked straightening her dress as if she'd done nothing wrong. Yellow eyes watching Buddy as he glared at her before shifting her attention back to Michael.

"Sadly that's what some terrorist do so says the news. I've heard a few stories, though I suppose some would say that my side - isn't much better but we at least don't hurt civilians for laughs. There's unintentional property damage from what I've seen though." There was another shrug as she continued to sit there and Buddy seemed to find his composure around a lady.

"Buyan of Neptune." She answered simply, "I hope it's my pleasure to meet you Captain, and not my death." There was a sweet smile as Buyan spoke, the one she often used when she was in a hard situation. Be it with parents of her former kids or now with the negaverse, that sweet smile could occasionally at least help out. It didn't help however that her uniform was a little skimpy for fighting - granted she noticed most ladies didn't get that much clothing.

"So what were you doing this fine night Captain, if I may ask? Just trying to get new recruits and leave out a few of the finer details?" Her head tilted curiously as she asked this. "You catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I'm sure if you're straight forward you'd get more interest." Not that Buyan wanted any more negas popping up but it was at least something to try and get the Captain's mind from the young man so he could escape if he wanted.

By this time, Buddingtonite was willing to overlook her rather rude entrance and within moments of Buyan's explanation, Michael was simply gone. Not that Buddingtonite cared at the moment. Maybe he would later, when Buyan would wear on his patience or had gotten under his skin, which was becoming more common than the Negaverse Captain was willing to admit to lately.

For now, all of his attention was on Buyan, and he kept his demeanor pleasant and intrigued, taking in her appearance and rather liking what he saw. "The pleasure is all mine. I do say, the cosmic tailor certainly favored you the day you were awakened, didn't she? Do all followers of Neptune share your beauty, or are you the fairest of them all?"

He thought of one way that she could look better, and that was if those bits of white were a more darker hue. He was immediately thinking black, and he imagined how perfect she would be within the Negaverse, as well as his bed. Not necessarily in that order.

"Well, I am part of the Infiltration branch, so recruiting's my job. Those finer details are merely matters that will be discussed during their orientation," Buddingtonite said, pulling completely away from Michael and not at all caring that the young man looked to be struggling with the door to the back of the coffee shop. Michael had not escaped JUST yet, but his eyes were on a completely different prize now. "Tell me, how was your hiring process within the White Moon, hm? If you and others like you were aware of the evil deeds of your missing Queen, would you have joined their ranks? Or was that part left out for you too?"

He kept one hand behind his back as he approached her, giving the appearance of a quirky if not sleazy businessman, all too conceal the wooden boomerang he held within his hand. Incase this little deal went sour, real fast… surely someone in such a fancy dress couldn't have been that combative, though he wasn't too easy to be proven wrong.

The page's brow lofted as Buddy spoke before looking at her dress, and not sure if she should be rather flattered or rather disgusted by the fact she was being hit on by a chaos member. She took being flattered instead and saved the disgust for later, "Ahhh, well I don't particularly know, I'd assume we were all rather darling, just some more so than others." She fluffed her hair bun a little before looking back at Buddy. "I haven't a mirror to ask though, I'm sure there's someone fairer than I, as there always is."

She smiled softly, "I see, infiltration sounds so... fascinating" She mused, eyes glancing past Buddy towards Michael to see that he was having issues with the door. What Buyan wouldn't give to be able to open the door for the Civilian first. "As well you seem much more civil, something a lady such as myself can appreciate. I've met others from your kind that wasn't so willing to speak."

She paused with a brow lofted, "Queen? I wasn't aware of any Queen, though I feel no compulsion to follow her -- whoever she is." This question seemed to leave Buyan just a shade bit confused. "I believe there are princesses that knights are aligned too and obligated to help if - they existed - however to my knowledge my Neptune does not at the moment - so I am free to paint my own lines as I please as long as my morals are not tarnished." The page's golden eyes watched Buddy not liking the one hand behind his back and feeling the need to voice such, "I'd appreciate it if you didn't hide things behind your back Captain, I am kind enough to not hide anything of mine behind my own back." She gestured with her hands to prove such, and with a wink she added "It's a bit rude and unfair of company to keep secrets as such."

"Hm, I've seen my share of the Court and your fellow pages. Few match yours beauty," Buddingtonite said, though in the back of mind he was likely already compiling a list of names, figures, their rankings and the such. The one at the top of his list, however, would have floored most others and likely have caused this fair one to get quite upset, so for now, Buddingtonite would be discrete with that list. Perhaps this one would be added to that list as well?

He then scoffed at her mention of others in his organization, and it wasn't necessarily a mocking one. Not towards her, anyway. "Yes, well, many of them have a strict 'shoot first, ask questions never' approach to you and your kind. I myself favor a more diplomatic approach to the manner, as I have little taste in fighting. Leave that to the brutish type, I'd say. I only fight when it's absolutely necessary..."

Which completely contradicted the weapon he hid behind his back, but recent times have made him rather paranoid, and he was willing to admit this. Especially considering how easily she pointed out his underhanded tactic, and having no reason to hide, he revealed it, wearing a mock-hurt expression as he sighed. "Hm, beautiful and perceptive! Or, perhaps a bit paranoid? You must forgive me, my dear, but my recent run-ins with your kind have put me a little on edge. Besides, it appears it was inevitable, as after all, you did interrupt my recruiting mission.

"My orders are clear. Corrupt," Buddingtonite said, before half-turning to poor Michael, and without further warning, he reeled back his boomerang and threw it at the man struggling with the door. It wouldn't seriously hurt him, but he'd hope it'd render him conscious while he dealt with the page. Get some time in to maybe summon Gra and get some energy in before fleeing the scene. "Or kill!"

LP
Would you mind if I brought Gra in? He's rather harmless as far as offensive attacks go and is only good for defense. Your choice, though! c:

Buyan was watching Buddy, he talked a good talk. He really did but the page just wasn't impressed. "I see, and yes it's rather brutish to fight. Invite them on a date, get ice cream and go to a drive in. Surely they'd be more willing then rather than having to fight all the time." There was a serious nod, though in the back of her mind Buyan knew that happening was slim to none but still her ideals had her thinking of it anyways.

"I may have interrupted your 'mission' but I haven't once given you the notion I was going to attack you have I?" She asked as she pulled her lyre to her lap and slowly dragged her hand across it so it made a sound, it was kind of like music. "Not much of a weapon compared to yours wouldn't you say?" She looked at the nega agents own weapon as he spoke, meaning her lyre.

"Wouldn't you like to have Beauty and brains?" She asked with again a sweet smile.

When Buddingtonite threw the boomerang Buyan threw her lyre at it hoping to knock it off course. "Killing is so Barbaric, you have better ways." She tutted, softly as she was still seated on the dumpster lid. Which gave her a slight height over the agent of chaos.

"You make it sound so easy..." Buddingtonite couldn't deny that he may have jumped the shark on their encounter and whatever chance he might have had to walk away from this without exhausting himself with fighting fluttered away, but now that the first blow went out, there was no turning back now. Anything he said or did to try to prove otherwise was foiled by his actions, so what would be the point in trying now? This page wasn't gullible or stupid, and to do otherwise would have been a waste of time and effort on his behalf, would it not? So, cut to the chase. If he had to fight, he might as well enjoy himself, right?

"But I guess if your sense of loyalty is so fickle that you can be swayed with something as common as ice cream, then perhaps I shouldn't be surprised. The Negaverse might not have a use for you after all," Buddingtonite said, feeling the sting of her words and merely returning fire, if only to hope to see her face twisted with anger as well so that he would not be the only one. "For someone to be swayed over for sweets, to betray their friends, even with how disorganized and unworthy as they are... no, the Negaverse thrives in looking for those who care for more than just themselves. There is no room for selfishness there."

Which was basically like inserting his shiny boot into his mouth, he knew, but what did he care? He thought little of her weapon, or lack there of, but he was annoyed when she managed to deflect his boomerang midway through its flight, causing it to bounce off of the wall and falling at an arch that forced it onto the ground harmlessly. He rolled his eyes and summoned his weapon back to his hand, his attention once again forced from the panicking Michael. "Impressive, I suppose. And I wouldn't be so smug- you certainly have the beauty part down pact but the brains? Hardly. Obstructing an officer in the middle of an important operation, insulting them, and now daring to face me with nothing more than a lyre when I have a genuine weapon and a youma at my beck and call? Not too smart."

Michael had gotten up to the front of the alley when Buddingtonite snapped his fingers, giving a command as another chaos energy signature spiked on his radar. Not that the youma he summoned was all that threatening, but for what the small-dog sized crab youma lacked in size, it made up for in tenacity, as the moment Gra arrived from the Rift, he gave a gurgling moan and charged at the terrified civilian. "Gra, keep him around. I'll deal with him after dispatching this one."

Buyan's brows lofted as she listend to Buddy, as he said she made it sound so easy. "Ah I never said you could easily sway me." There was a smile, "It's like courting or taking a woman on a date. You still have to work to get them, swoon them off their feet and then swoop in with the surprise. Really you'd think you'd never dated. It works the same for recruiting for something like you're silly little team."

She smiled, sweetly never showing his words stung even a little. Giving him more fuel would only make the fire burn harsher, though sometimes not giving them anything made it worse. He was already showing off, and she giggled a little as she hopped up standing on the dumpster lid. "Yes, yes it did stop your silly little boomerang, and awww you call that a youma? I'd call it a mutated dog."

She summoned her lyre back and jumped from the dumpster lid aiming to land on the officer's shoulder or at least kick him in the chest area with her heel. Hoping afterwards she could catch that 'mutated dog.' "Kick it kid if you have to." She called towards Michael.

"Silly little team?" Of all the things that Buyan had said or could say to drive his agitation even deeper, that seemed to be the one thing that made him wish that he had the same strength and power as most of his comrades, though he did feel their desire to utterly destroy the enemy instead of courting them pulsing through him. Was she really referring to the Negaverse as a 'silly little team'? Did she truly think so little of this war and events around her that she couldn't see the depths of it all? How many of her comrades and allies, or even civilians died, at the hands of this 'silly little team'?

It was almost infuriating to think that someone, anyone, could think so little of events around her, and it almost set Buddingtonite off on a long, and lengthy rant. Her behavior and words implied that everyone involved was beneath her, because they took it seriously, because they allowed it to change their lives. He wanted to strangle her for dare implying or daring to think little of his, or anyone else's, involvement. It almost made him want to scream.

And yet, he didn't. He wasn't sure what triggered the sudden calm he felt sweep over him, even when she summoned her lyre back to her hands and offered some well-needed advice to poor Michael. Poor Michael who bobbed his head up and down and swung a low kick at the crab youma that scuttled around, trying to avoid the threatening blows and not give the civilian the opening he needed to flee. Gra may not be able to do much and he was quite the laughable sight, but the creature was trying, and for Buddingtonite, that's all he could want. Well, besides more power to where he could crush this page's starseed, though that wasn't entirely out of the question. He'd simply have to focus more on finding that starseed deep with that lovely bust of hers and not the acidic and condescending words that spewed from her mouth.

Which first meant to try to dodge this next attack, which Buddingtonite found that he was having to resort to far too many times, though it was a tactic he wasn't afraid of. Despite her appearance, she already revealed that she was quite capable, and who knew what else this one had in her arsenal besides a cheeky smile and venomous words? He jumped back, wanting to avoid any unwanted pain for as long as possible, and while he was able to dodge the initial strike, he failed for move a foot away in time and suffered for it with the worst case of another person stepping on his toes. It was impossible not to want to yowl in pain but he bit his lip to cut if off before it got too far, and he took advantage of his foot being pinned in place to throw himself forward and strike at her upperbody with his boomerang, resorting to using it as a blunt weapon. Even if she dodged, he hoped she'd release his foot, and maybe he could follow up, assuming his toes weren't broken, anyway.

Buddingtonite had no love for broken bones...

LP

Buyan blinked a little as she landed on his foot. She felt bad, mainly because she wasn't aiming at his foot, however it was almost a little ironic. When he swung she moved so that instead of dodging the weapon she embraced it trying to grab onto the boomerang. Maybe she could wrestle it out of his hands though it sent a sharp throbbing pain from her ribcage through her body to try and catch the attack like she did. Those were totally going to be bruised in the morning.

"You know, if you weren't one the wrong side you'd be kind of cute." She said batting eyelashes at him trying to catch him off guard and hoping that the kid could get away from the youma. Her golden eyes looked over Buddy's shoulder, "You do realize you can probably find something blunt to hit it with too if kicking doesn't work right?"

She smiled sweetly at him as she moved her foot from his and aimed her knee for a better attack somewhere around his midsection to lower half. "Tell me, do you enjoy making a girl fight for what she wants?" She hoped the negaverse agent wouldn't take that question with the wrong context.

Buddingtonite was in too much pain to have even noticed if he strike had hit, and any chance he had to collect his composure and keep up appearances was pretty much guaranteed a lost cause by now. In the grand scheme of things, he never was a fighter. Not to say he condoned violence, but he would have rather have talked out his differences and leave without having to carry a bruise or scar with him. In the very least, if he had to fight, he'd rather have spent his efforts on a easier opponent- once again, the idea of going home with broken bones and bruises was simply not his idea of a good time. And if this kept up, he'd be going home with more than just a bruised ego...

Her 'compliment' made him scoff, as he jumped back and forced some distance between them. Her batting eyelashes and coy appearance might have disarmed him, if he hadn't been suffering from her assault to his foot as well as the danger his youma faced. If anything, he found the attempt insulting, because he suspected she was resorting to that tactic to get the better of him and that really dug under his skin. The moment his potential victim had taken the Page's advice and grabbed a broken panel that was discarded in the trash, Buddingtonite felt it was time to call back Gra. Like hell he was going to lose his youma to either this tarty Page or this failed attempt at recruitment! He held out his hand and gave the command, and the crab-like youma scuttled towards the Captain, just as Buyan charged at him with her knee, once again trying to pull away and just barely keeping his balance as he stumbled backwards. The moment he felt Gra's long, spider-like appendages grasp his shoulder, he focused his attention on pulling himself out of danger, shouting as he jumped upwards and moved onto the nearby dumpster to get the higher ground.

"Anything truly worth having is worth fighting for," Buddingtonite said, surprised he had managed to land on his feet though wincing when it was the one she stomped on that took the blunt of the fall. He dropped down to his knee, one hand on his weapon and the other on his youma, and it was very clear that he was done fighting for the evening. "That one, though? You can have him. He's not worth it... you might be in the future, but I think I've had enough fun for the evening."

LP

Buyan was surprised that her few attacks plus those made by the civilian had made the captain restore to retreating, she smiled as she turned around to face him hands on her hips. "Yes your right what's worth having is worth fighting for."

She agreed and it seemed the first time that night they agreed on something. "Alright sweetie, next time you see me make sure you bring Ice cream and I might not stomp on your foot." She blew him a kiss and winked before waving bye to him and actually waiting for him to leave. She wasn't going to turn her back until he left since he'd managed to attack someone when their back was turned earlier.

"Maybe we can be more civil next time as well, Hm?"

If Buddingtonite were a petty man, he might have felt personally offended by her gesture and what she might have insinuated, but he merely scoffed. The fellow he had been scouting had scrambled to stand behind Buyan, and anyone that fled behind another was hardly someone worth bringing home to the General-Kings, Buddingtonite thought with a hint of a sneer. Perhaps she did him a favor after all... not that he'd openly admit that to her. Gra's grip tightened, reminding the captain that his pet was still hungry, and he kept a hand on him, even as he made small talk with the Neptune page. It would have been rude not to.

"I may just take you up on that offer in the future," Buddingtonite said, rather liking the idea though he was more fond of the liquor than the ice cream. Perhaps if it was gelato? The pain in his foot forced his mind back to the task at hand, giving Gra another comforting stroke before pulling the youma off of his shoulder and carrying him like a pet parent would their dog. He made sure to note her cautious eye and the way she refused to turn her back to him told him that she wasn't one so easily fooled, and he made a mental note of it before deciding to teleport away. He'd walk and conserve his strength, but he didn't want to risk showing off that lovely limp of his. Damned women and their heels! "Compared to my other cohorts, I'd say this was fairly civil. Let's hope you don't run into that dreadful lot."

And with that, he disappeared, teleporting to a safer place, with a hungry youma in hand. And that seemed to be enough for the poor barista, as he let out a shriek and fled back into the building he worked in. "YOU'RE ALL INSANE! INSANE!"
