Name: Satomi Yang
Nickname: Tomi
Age: 17
Birthday: August 31
Sign: Virgo
Gemstone: Peridot
Blood Type: A+
Fav. Food: Mochi of all Flavors
Hated Food: Eggs
School: Meadowview High School
Hobbies: ~Creative Writing: They say that the pen is mightier than the sword. No one could agree more than this young woman. She would rather express herself on paper than any other median available. From tails of a Princess turned rouge to stories of a couple separated by a magic orb, Satomi dedicates her stories to a strong willed woman with the support she dreams of. For Satomi, it is all about how a woman can be just as strong as any man. But where do these writings go after all is said and done? Sadly, many of the more detailed ones never leave her note books. If people are lucky, she will post one online for random publishing going under a false name. She has ended up with a few poems in a book that way. To keep her skills sharp, Satomi will go sit in on lectures or talks by authors that come into down. Most of the time, she stays in the back of the room and just listens for she’s there to see how others have become a success, not pet egos.
~Chinese Painting: A common practice for the ladies in the Yang house. The honest truth is that she isn't very good at it but her mother feels that if she is ever going to be accepted as a member of the Yang household, she needs to know how to do this. For years she has been forced to sit before a canvas to the point that she has learned to enjoy it. Still, she no longer publicly shows anyone her work, even if her mother has attempted to change this by different means.
~Shopping for Clothes: Satomi is never short on the latest fashion and yet, she never wears it. This is her means to get back at her parents for her up-bring. Whenever they crack-down, she takes off to whatever store she is in the mood for and shops, shops, shops. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, anything she can get her hand on. Sometimes she will even help her half-brother out when he comes crawling to her.
Virtues:
~Determined: The word ‘impossible’ does not exist in Satomi’s vocabulary. As long as there is faint glimmer of hope, she will go at something until her fingers bleed for once she sets a goal, Satomi sticks with it until the bitter end. She is resolute and unwavering in her desires meaning that distractions from them are few. Yet in the world, not everything can happen the way you want it to. Sadly, no one is perfect and sometimes, even Satomi must admit defeat. Overall she has a hard time accepting the idea of failure tries to learn from her mistakes so that next time, they won’t be repeated. A failure might not be the end of the world; it just means she will try even harder next time.
~Tactful: Telling someone that color lipstick doesn’t suit them or that what they said was not at all humorous can be a rather difficult task for most people. Say the wrong thing and the person takes offence leading to either hurt feelings or a confrontation. Wishing to avoid both at all costs, Satomi takes a deep breath and forms the best sentence she can as to be both considerate to others and not hurt the person’s feelings. The last thing she wants to do is give the person a complex about a small matter. If she is unable to verbally comment, Satomi will be the one to give a small hand signal, shake her head, or even pull the person aside to speak to them. One on one is more comfortable than in front of a group. ~Intelligent: Pushed from the time she was walking to be the smartest and brightest being around, Satomi does have a high IQ though she won't talk about it to others. She does push herself to get straight A's in school (if she wants to avoid conflict at home that is for a B or lower means a harsh talking-to). From math to English, Science to History, she aces every test thrown her way as a result of hard work, hours over text books, and very little social outings during the school year. All of this work has paid off that she has learned to retain information quickly and draw upon it when needed. Why study the same thing twice when you can learn it once. This helps her move quickly through things she has already seen. What she can’t do? Home-economics. The girl cannot learn to sew or cook to save her life even with practice.
Flaws:
~Secretive: One of Satomi’s biggest downsides is that she is overly secretive. The refined young woman hides anything that she considers personal even to the point of pretending it no longer interests her. Yet, if someone finds out a secret, one of two things is likely to happen: she will shut herself from the person or she will verbally attack the person. It all depends on how deeply that secret is interwoven into her being.
~Romantic: Raised in a manner that puts others, especially males, above herself, Satomi has ended up frustrated with it all. This has caused her to withdraw inward and personally focus more on herself than anyone else. She feels alienated from the world because she does not fit in her with family. Even worse, though she rebels in her own pricy ways, Satomi still feels a deep guilt in having come to this. Still, she feels that it is her against the world now.
~Jealous: To say that she is a green-eyed monster might be a little harsh but the girl does get jealous whenever she sees something she craves. What drives home the most is seeing people with their families. She is overly so when she sees a peer be told “I’m proud of you” or even “Good Job”. While she can control herself in front of others, Satomi normally break down into tears the moment she gets alone.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Narrow with a slight lift at the ends. They are light green in color.
Hair: Satin Black hair kept waist length and bone straight. Often found in a messy bun with two chopsticks holding it up.
Face: Her mother's blood gave her the Japanese facial structure with the thinner face and nose.
Clothes: Uniform or something simple such This

Senshi: Sailor Zeta Corvi, Senshi of Grief *Chang Sha is the Chinese name for Zeta Corvi in the Corvus Constellation; part of the Vermilion Bird in theChariot mansion. She will ask to go by this as a nickname Symbol of Grief
Challenge: How will you Grieve?
Fuku Colour: . Main Color: White - mourning Secondary Color: Blue - immortality
Fuku: - a mixture of the Chinese Hanfu and Japanese Kimono (Below are ideas. Feel free to use them or create your own!)
Collar -- Comes up like the stiff collar of traditional Chinese clothing but instead of sticking up, falls over like a sailor collar. Blue Bow -- Not so much a bow as an obi belt. Blue Bodice -- White with a line of fabric going across in the blue. Fabric is connected to the collar. Fits rather snuggly around her body. White Sleeves --Long that come down to her wrists. Same accent blue fabric on edges as the obi and collar. Brooch -- CC Bottoms -- Short skirt…aka…the rest of the white fabric from the bodice. It’s pretty much one big piece that wraps around her. Bottom trimmed in once again, the blue fabric. Tiara -- Blue beaded band with a white center bead Choker -- A large blue bead on a white band Shoes -- Traditional Chinese shoes are good but CC if they think something looks better. Gloves -- Nope Accessories -- Open to ideas
Attacks: (These are based on the Kübler-Ross model)
Sailor Scout Attack: Grieving Denial Based on the Denial of Grief, Chang Sha wraps her hands around herself before calling out the words and extending her palms outwards. The symbol of grief appears as a shield blocking an attack striking her and anyone directly behind her. It is only a 5ft radius from her hands in all directions. (she is 5'4"). This only lasts for one attack and then disappears. If no one attacks the shield, it lasts two turns before fading away. While she is holding the shield, Chang Sha is unable to move around. At this stage, the shield is unable to tell the difference from an alley to an enemy. Thus anyone who comes in contact with it is struck with a wave of Denial lasting one turn. It will block the full attack of someone her level, half the attack of one stage above, and only slow someone two+ stages above her level. It can be used twice in battle.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Grieving Anger Based on the Anger of Grief, Chang Sha performs the same attack as before but this time, when she shield rises, it not only blocks the attack but sends it back in the direction that it came. The shield is now larger at 7ft radius from her hands in all direction. It works on levels lower than her own and equal to. Above forces her shield to take some of the damage before going back as a weaker form towards their caster. If someone physically ran into the shield, they would find themselves growing more and more angry for 15 seconds. The level of anger depends upon how much of them hit the shield. (A finger, is not much but slightly annoyed. Whole body is pure rage) Can be used twice in battle.
Eternal Sailor Attack: Grieving Misery Based on the Depression and Bargaining of Grief, from Chang Sha's hands comes two orbs: one white, one blue. She sends these towards her targets (allies, opponents or herself) and each has a different affect. The white one is the orb of depression. The blue orb is the orb of bargaining. What this means is that whenever the one affected by the blue orb is physically damaged, the one that is affected by the white orb feels sadden. The more the blue one is hurt, the more grief and sadness the white feels. This can only be used once in battle and it lasts for 30 seconds (or two posts from both sides)

Hey Sirene~ Let's get Satomi all stamped and approved, yay~
ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE:
Hobbies and Virtues look great!
However, I'm not really seeing anything flaw-y in "Romantic"! If anything, it reads like a virtue. Is there a reason people would dislike her for being this way? Does she let her obsessions distract her from other things?
ON THE POWERED SIDE:
One small thing - in her attacks, you say "Biased on" and I think you mean "Based on"? Other than that I think she looks good (And A+ stages of grief stuff that really pleases me in a psych nerd way!)
Quote me once you've made changes and I'll give her another look~

Hey, Sirene! Lovely profile! Her civilian side looks great and I like her powered side! She seems like she'll be a really interesting character to interact with, and I hope you win her soon! That being said, please don't be frightened by the wall of text here; it's just some questions to help understand the attack better!
I like what you've done with her powered attacks, basing them off of the stages of grief; I think it's neat that instead of just instilling her opponents with grief and that denial denies an attack and anger lashes back! A few questions about both of these--if no one attacks the shield, how long would it stay up? (Can an ally attack the shield or would they be able to pass through it and stand next to her?). Does the shield reflect magical damage and physical, or just one or the other? Additionally, to help tie in with the stages of grief, I think it might help (if you wanted!) to add a side effect to physically attacking the shield? Such as any opponent who comes in contact with the shield (not even necessarily attacking it) for fifteen seconds after they come in contact with it they feel a wave of denial for her basic attack, and anger for her second attack? (This would allow a bit of a distraction for her to get away or make her move since her shield only protects her from one attack--or dampens an attack strength, in the case of being attacked by more powerful opponents!) And, one final question for them! How many times can these attacks be used in battle?
I do have a few questions about the eternal attack, also; how long do these effects last? And what happens if there is only one opponent? (it is far more often that people have one on one battles rather than battles with multiple opponents). If it is just her and and an opponent it would mean that she has to damage herself one way or another to get any damage to her opponent, so I was wondering what is the benefit of being able to target herself or her allies with these? How much physical damage can the blue orb do? A possible alternative might be to simplify the attack just a little bit--she could send a single orb (or be able to target multiple opponents with up to two orbs, so she could still fight two opponents) but instead of the orbs relying on each other to do damage, each orb could start with depression (maybe thirty seconds of depression that gets worse as time passes on, and towards the end they are overwhelmed with the desire to bargain to try and get rid of it?) It would be up to the player to determine if they actually tried to bargain or if it was just a thought dancing in the back of their head, but I think that might be a little more useful and relevant to her sphere in battle?
Finally, minor thing--unfortunately, when it comes to names, we have to go by the common name (this is to keep a level of uniformity as well as to prevent accidental senshi name/homeworld overlap) unless there is a special circumstance (such as the name is all numbers, or the celestial body shares names with another celestial body, but these are usually discussed on a case by case basis). Officially (as in, appearing on certs, RP Titles, and the Master List) she would need to be listed as Zeta Corvi--however she would be free to find the connection between Zeta Corvi and Changsha and decide she would rather be called Changsha. It would be an unofficial nickname, but it would be fine if she would rather go by that title in roleplay as long as OOCly it was understood that she was Zeta Corvi. Sorry! ):
If you would like to brainstorm for another senshi name I am willing to help you look to find something that works! Give me a quite or poke me through PMs or AIM to let me know and I'll get back to you asap!

Hey Kyu, great questions and thank you for all the direction. Powers are always so tricky so it's helpful!
I added to the regular and super attacks but I did not change the eternal. My reason for not doing so is I wanted to explain what I was thinking when she was one on one with someone. My thought process is that she would use the blue one on herself so that at the point, any damage done to her affects the one the white orb hit. What this means is that she could either hurt herself (ow) or if they attacked her in any way (physical or magical) they would feel the depression. She is using herself as the bargaining piece trading 'health' to have a chance to get at the opponent.
If you still do not think this will fly, then let me know!
As for her name (sad again), I'll go with the nickname idea. Satomi and Chang Sha just fit so she will go either by Zeta or Changsha when the time comes. >.<

All right, thank you for the clarification! I think what you've changed it to works! The eternal attack makes more sense now, and I think it's an interesting choice of attack! I have one question for it before I drop a stamp (because I think it's just about ready, I just want a little more clarification!); the attack seems to always need at least two people to function; does this mean that in a 1v1 battle, Changsha will always suffer some negative effect as a result of using this? If she is not fighting more than one opponent, must she sacrifice either her or an ally's well-being to damage the opponent? (Is it impossible for the two orbs to hit the same person/if they do does it have any effect?)
When you answer these, please give me a quote and I'll be back asap!

And to answer your question, yes. Someone will always have to suffer as if the orbs hit the same person, it negates it. So Changsha will either have to suffer herself or cause pain to an alley.
Makes an interesting change to the girl of grief as time goes on.
