It was such a minor win, but Alfheim had a goofy grin of victory on his face when he landed on his feet and didn't fall over from a shock of pain. His knee was still messed up from his patrol failure with Svartalfheim, but the bit of a twinge on impact was a fraction of the pain a few weeks earlier.

The squire was patrolling more often now, and with a lot more confidence, even though it was common for him to go it alone like tonight.

He didn't think anything off it. His worst fights had been with youma and other knights and he had an inflated sense of invincibility. So the fact he was not in top fighting shape and sensed a dark mirror aura in the vicinity brought no concerns. Mimistrobell and Virtus had been awesome chit chat partners!

So the dumb idiot actually went looking for it.

For her part, the feel of an Order aura nearby brought something of a crazed grin to Chariklo's mobile face. She'd been itching for a good fight ever since being promoted to Super Senshi. Of course, if it was a White Mooner, she'd have a go a little easy on 'em. But if it were a Knight... her grin widened at the thought.

Oh, please let it be a knight. She had aggressions to work out.

Racing along the rooftops, she charged toward the energy signature, finally leaping from the top of a building once they stopped being so lovely and level.

Senshi or Knight, she was aiming to fight. And oh, it was going to be so much fun.

Alfheim was a lameazoid who didn't like rooftops, but after having people drop in on him so many times, he was used to looking to the rooftops for movement around him.

He spotted a figure leap from one and made his way towards it, raising his hand in greeting. "Hey!" He called out.

"Busy night?" He did have to stop when he saw her fuku and the revealing cut out sides, and he had to check himself a bit from going into a 'kids these days' sort of mindset. It's not like he chose to run around looking like a sparkly elf.

Landing on the ground in a graceful crouch, Chariklo kept one hand against the asphalt for a moment while the other balled into a fist against her side. Inside she was singing with utter glee to find herself facing a knight. Outside, she kept her elation limited to a smirk and measured glare from under her wind whipped mohawk.

Standing slowly, she kept her eyes on the boy in front of her. If she was any judge of auras, she would guess he was about the same power level as her. Probably not as shiny new, though. That could be a problem, but given his open and friendly expression... Sunset eyes narrowed quickly. Oh, this would be so much fun...

"You have no idea, little man," her voice purring with gleeful hostility as she moved fast, lunging for him as her balled fist swung around and aimed directly at his face.

Her hostility was confusing and he braced himself for another Nysa situation. Until he reminded himself that the Dark Mirror Court was supposed to be his enemy and he was not supposed to be having friendly nights out with them.

However, he was still adamantly convinced that his way was not a wrong way.

He was more hung up on her greeting and his expression twisted in offense. "Little man?" Excuse me, young lady, Alfheim was pretty sure he is old enough to be your fath-- ow, fist in the face.

He didn't have the presence of mind or the reflexes to dodge the punch and ended up taking her fist square in the face and stumbling back in shock.

"Holy s**t!" He yelped, trying to parse what the ******** that was. "Wait, I wasn't trying to pick a fight!" Alfheim was generally super confused on the war and what they were all supposed to be doing, but he was also more than certain she was the confused one here. At least at the moment. "You don't need to be going around punching people, holy ******** class="quote">

Oh. Oh yes. Chariklo began to laugh wildly the moment her blow landed and she quickly danced out of arm's reach of the confused knight. And now, she thought, it was time to ramp up the confusion even further.

"Trust me, baby," she cooed maliciously. "You don't need to try with me."

Then, with another bark of laughter (she was just having the best night!), she let out a hissing whisper, calling up her own magic.

"Mobbing Cry!"**

The poor sucker wouldn't know what hit him. And if Chariklo had her way, he wouldn't really know much of anything once the night was over.

** Effects - Same as the above, only now the call seems to come from more than one throat and it feels as through a small swarm of wings are attacking. Able to perform three time per battle if needed. The attack is now able to encompass 2 to 3 people if they are not standing too far apart (about a 5'-7' radius). The targets are now in danger of being knocked silly as well as painful bruising around the head and shoulders. Also, the wings take on just the barest, tiniest shimmering definition of shape. Attack duration is now 30-45 seconds. Also, should the main target of the attack try to escape, the attack will follow them for about 5 seconds.

If Alfheim wasn't already dazed and confused, he was now. Her magic seemed to just pile on his swarm of mismatched nerve firings and he ended up lifting a hand to vainly shield his head from the onslaught.

Or at least it felt like an onslaught. To make things worse, he had never seen senshi magic in action which just made made this entire situation weird and awful.

"Agh... The ******** is wrong with you?! Why are you even attacking me?!"

But there was clearly rising anger in his voice. Alfheim was an easy going guy but his pacifism was conditional and apparently psycho bitches that caused him pain were not a condition.

He actually moved his rooted feet and grabbed his bottle by the neck with the hand that wasn't covering his face and blindly ran forward to attack her back, although already blinded and spurred on by irrational anger from the pain, it was not a very focused or targeted attempt.

For all her brawling experience, Chariklo always seemed to manage to underestimate the luck of blindly flailing idiots. She felt the bottle come down and strike her elbow a blow as she turned to face the knight. Hissing in pain, her other arm shot out, aiming with a bit more precision for his chin. If it connected, it wouldn't be much better than a 'love tap', but maybe enough to get him unbalanced and give her a few precious seconds to compensate for her now injured elbow.

"Why?" she asked in a soft, almost quizical voice. "Because you exist. Seems reason enough to me."

"What?!" Alfheim nearly squawked in incredulity. Because he existed? Just 'cause? Because reasons?

The longest seconds in the world seemed to at least cease and release him from her attack, but her words seemed to have more of an immobilizing effect on him than magic, and he took the hit on his chin and stumbled back. And still looked dumbfounded and non-combative.

"I-- ju--.. eh? What?!" He stammered and then shot out a hand, not in an attempt to hit her, but just in a flailing, gesturing wave towards the city around them. "Are you ******** with me?! Wars usually have a point, you know! They take up a lot of resources and cost a lot of lives and usually they go on because people believe in something and I have no idea what this war thing is but I'm pretty sure you're doing it wrong," He babbled rapidly, but leaving himself open for a continued beating to do so.

Oh, just her luck. Chariklo had found herself a babbler. With a purely internal sigh, she tucked her now useless arm closer to her side and debated how to best end this without ending up with a broken elbow. Well, her legs still worked as did her other arm.

Surging forward, she spun in a roundhouse kick that would have made Chuck Norris proud if he were to have seen it. As stunned as the boy was, she had no doubt that her foot would connect. But just in case, she was readying a fist to introduce to his stomach once she had both feet on the firm ground.

"Trust me, dude," she muttered with some amusement. "Were I ******** with you, you'd be having a lot more fun. And how can I be doin' it wrong when as far as my side is concerned, you knightly types are useless to us. Therefore expendable. Not worth saving. So. Your a** is fair game."

And oh, how she loved that!

"Saved from what?" Alfheim managed to sputter out, but he was babbling. In the most literal sense.

When her kick made contact, his vocal grunts of pain were stemmed with some attempt to continue talking, because talking his way out of battles had worked so far up until this point.

It was a hard change of pace to take.

But he still managed to pull up enough awareness to make a disgusted face at her suggestive comment. "Kid, you're like, what? Seventeen?" Ew.

Apparently battle banter was something he did wrong too.

He stumbled back, trying desperately and futile to keep distance between them. "Uselessness isn't a reason to destroy people," He stated. He wasn't going to argue his uselessness because, well, even he thought he was pretty useless.

"Nineteen actually," she laughed as she continued to come at him, arms and legs flying out to try and land blows on him. "And right back at you since I would sooner have sloppy makeouts with a goat than one of you Knight types."

Seeing the stumble, Chariklo grinned tightly. Pulling back her good arm, she threw a punch aimed squarely at the idiot male's nose. He was about to learn that uselessness was a grave sin if you wanted to stay alive.

"Of course it is," she answered calmly. "You can't do anything that helps us. Like I said. You're expendable."

"I--... what?!" Alfheim sputtered, though at least this time he stopped having faith she wasn't going to punch him and moved, just a bit. Her punch didn't hit him directly in the nose, but it did collide with his face pretty hard and he had to clasp a hand over the place her fist made contact with a notable cringe.

"No, it's not. Maybe you should consider your mental health and find a new hobby besides some kind of weird form of genetic culling. I highly recommend something productive like baking cookies or some s**t."

It was at this point he finally, finally conceded he wasn't going to talk his way out of this fight and came at her, putting all his weight behind an actual, offensive punch.

Twilight Jaws
PostPosted: Sat Nov 23, 2013 1:58 pm

"Oh, I do that too in my spare time," she cooed. "But I always make sure to save enough energy to devote to wiping out your kind. I'm just thoughtful that way."

As for her mental health... well. The less said about that at the moment, the better. Probably. Brushing the thought aside like an annoying fly, Chariklo was caught off guard as the male's fist came around and slammed into breastbone.

Breath lost for a moment, she stood staring at him with wide eyes as she tried to force air past the burning pain and back into her lungs where it belonged. Taking a quick step back, she probed her sternum and winced. Son. Of. A. b***h.

Glaring now, all traces of condescending amusement gone, Chariklo decided that she'd had enough playtime. Injured elbow, cracked, or at least badly bruised breastbone, oh yeah. She was doing great. The way she saw it, she had two choices. An all or nothing strike at the knight. Or fleeing, healing up and then tracking his a** down at some later date and exacting some careful retribution for the injuries he'd given her.

Alfheim was already out of breath, and he had never had any motivation for this to begin with, so whatever steam may have been in that punch was all he had and now it was gone.

He looked genuinely disappointed at the senshi, though.

"This is stupid," He panted. He grabbed his bottle again, but not to hit her with. Instead, the squire popped the cork and a thick burst of fog spilled out and engulfed them. Perfect cover to flee.

He had no problem with fleeing, lost causes and all.
