It was only two or so hours into her patrol and already Kallichore was getting tired. She hadn't been eating as well as she should, or perhaps it was a lack of restful sleep taking its toll. Whatever the reason, the eternal senshi had to stop and rest. In the middle of downtown Destiny City, the nightlife was awake and bustling as if the city wasn't wrapped up in an underground war. Couples going out for drinks mingled with the college kids hopping from club to club. The street was well-lit and lively. Kallichore, on the other hand, stuck to the shadows and sat down on top of what appeared to be a bar.

She leaned up against the wall of a neighboring building, what the establishment was, she did not know. It didn't matter. The eternal then sighed, closing her eyes and trying to get some rest while the city went on about its life below.

When a sudden corrupted aura showed up on her peripherals, Kallichore did not jump into action. Whoever they were, they were at the starting rank and would not pose much of a threat to an eternal. On the flipside, Kallichore did not pose much threat to her. Opening her eyes, the eternal tilted her head in the young woman's direction but did not get up just yet.

"You won't get a fight from me. I'm just resting." came an exhausted reply. The eternal tried to smooth out her hair but her souls till ached. Her eyes were drawn to the hole in Euclase's chest - a telltale sign of a Negaverse senshi. Was she corrupted, or did she awaken this way?

Only one way to find out.

"If you're so inclined, I'd like to speak with you. Unless you'd rather I just leave."

The hand offering was unexpected and Kallichore gratefully took it. When she was finally upright, the eternal brushed herself off, never once making a threatening move towards Euclase in a show of trust.

"I don't mean to be rude," she started, voice very even. "But if I decided to betray your trust, I do not think you could hunt me down." You wouldn't be here. Being eternal, Kallichore had quite a bit of power at her disposal. If she were so inclined, she could likely easily put Euclase to death. However, this would ruin any chance of learning more about the other side.

"But that is neither here nor there. Like I said, you will not get a fight from me. Not tonight."

The senshi of madness tried smoothing out her hair but it remained looking as disheveled as ever. "Life has not been kind." was the answer to the corrupted's question. "Too many failures weigh on my mind now. I tried to save people and they were sacrificed instead by one of the agents you work with. Now I wonder if it worth continuing to fight, or whether it's more prudent to simply give up and walk away from the war. I'm sure you don't have that problem, what with your rules and regulations and leader to look towards for guidance."

What Kallichore didn't know was how corrupted senshi were viewed and regulated within the organization. Did they have dark royals to lead them, or were they simply the pawns of the General-Kings and Queens?

Kallichore looked concerned when Euclase mentioned the threat of death for disobedience. "I have to wonder," she started, turning away from her corrupted counterpart for a moment to start a slow pace across the roof. "Do they not value you if they would threaten to kill you for not following orders? Are you not important to them?"

Rhetorical, yes, but it was a very valid concern for her. "Shouldn't the Negaverse value you just as they would one of their own officers? To threaten you like that... they make it sound like you're disposable. Like you aren't worth your weight. Why would they do that? Surely they understand that a senshi is just as important as an officer..." The eternal shook her head, almost saddened by this information. She was, at one point, considering giving her services to the Negaverse in exchange for a complete memory wipe in order to finally sleep and be rid of the guilt.

But to find out that the Negaverse seems to value their senshi so little?

Did they not understand the power a senshi holds?

A senshi attacked a civilian? Assaulted her?

That didn't seem right. Kallichore had never heard of a senshi assaulting a civilian, but if it was true, she wanted to know more about it. "What did they look like, the White Moon Senshi? We don't normally attack civilians - we're trying to protect them. If someone did attack a civilian, unprovoked, I'd like to do some investigating about it."

Perhaps the corruption from the Negaverse was seeping into the White Moon faster than she anticipated.

One thing she always wanted to ask, though, was weighing on her mind. "If you don't mind my asking, what is your name? And can you travel to your star like we can?" She'd never been in such close proximity to a corrupted senshi without being attacked so she never had the opportunity to ask. Did Negaverse senshi still have their connection to space? Or, like Kurma said, was their light gone and the song of their home star silenced?

Kallichore took down the details as well as she could, wondering who could have done such a thing. "I don't recall knowing anyone who fits that description, but you have my word in that I will be on the lookout for them. White Moon Senshi should not be attacking civilians in any form for any reason."

Euclase was an odd name though the eternal senshi recalled corrupteds tended to have mineral names like their officer counterparts. Perhaps she never knew her senshi name or she changed it? "Kallichore is my name." she said, extending a hand in a attempt to shake on it. It was simply a neutral gesture, nothing more and nothing less.

One piece of information was interesting - Euclase knew nothing about traveling to her star. "I don't mean teleporting. I think Chaos energies give people the ability to teleport but White Moon senshi cannot. What I meant by traveling to your star is just that - I can travel to the moon for which I am named. Kallichore is one of Jupiter's moons and one of the smallest. Just one among sixty-four total. And if you were not named Euclase, you would have the name of a star or a moon or a comet out there somewhere."

Kallichore looked up to the night sky and wondered which twinkling light would have twinkled and sung just for Euclase had Chaos not seeped into her heart. "There are remnants of civilizations on those stars. Or at least, there is on mine and the few others I've visited. I've learned that one can only travel to their celestial body if Chaos is not a part of them."

"I was given my name, so I don't really know who I would have been had I awoken on your side."

So she was never a White Moon Senshi to begin with...

While they couldn't see her moon, let alone Jupiter from their position, Kallichore pointed in the general direction she believed her moon hung in space. "Yes, we can travel to space and visit the places we used to live thousands of years ago. I've visited the castle on my moon, seen what I used to look like in the past. It's quite fascinating."

However, Euclase could not go to the place she would call home, as Kurma had said. Once Chaos seeps into the hearts of senshi, their ability to connect to their planet and hear its song is severed and they are lost. Such was the sad state of affairs. While she considered for a moment taking Euclase to her moon just to prove it was true, Kallichore had no idea if bringing an Agent of Chaos to her moon would do.

It was almost a relief to know some of the lies Chaos had told to the senshi it had under its thumb. Kallichore shook her head, slowly, as if admonishing the people who'd fed this poison to her.

"All senshi have a world up there, somewhere. Where yours is, I don't know. Your connection to it has been lost because of the Chaos, I'm afraid. All senshi come from space, from a star or an asteroid, even a comet or a moon. If it's up there twinkling, there's a senshi that represents it." Suddenly the vast expanse of space seemed so very crowded, each light representing a life and a person with goals and dreams, whether they were awakened or not. Whether they knew of their extraterrestrial origins or not.

Lifting a hand to the stars, the eternal wasn't sure how to answer Euclase's question. "I imagine the Negaverse doesn't want you finding out things that wouldn't be useful. I really don't know. As for why the White Moon is here, I don't know that either. I know there's no Lunar Queen to worship - I've never seen her and nobody else seems to know much about her, if anything at all. I was told about her when I first awakened many years ago but in all my travels, I've seen neither hair nor hind of her. I think she's some kind of urban legend. As for your mission..."

Kallichore turned to Euclase with open arms, inviting an attack if such a thing would alleviate her confusion. "What pain have we caused? Why would we destroy a world where we grew up? We were all people, simple people, before we were senshi. We didn't learn to walk and talk up there. We did so down here, on Earth, with our parents and families. I don't know a single White Moon Senshi with dreams to destroy it."

And that was the truth.

As for the moon, the eternal senshi turned back to the sea of the sky. "I can travel there fairly often and I've brought others with me, yes. I've brought friends to the castle on my moon before as well." Perhaps you coming with me would change your mind? Such seemed like a dangerous proposition.
