On his days off, one of Caleb's favorite activities was lounging around with wine and as little clothing as possible. As this was his day off, the only thing the redhead had on were some questionably-legal and very tight pants. Dressed in only this and carrying a wine glass half-full, Caleb was sprawled across the couch, reading a health magazine. When he realized the apartment was unusually quiet, he decided to seek out his fiancee.

In the sexiest pose he could muster, Caleb leaned against the threshold of their shared bedroom and fluttered his lashes at Makayla, who lay drowning in a sea of wedding ideas.

"So... I heard someone was in need of a distraction~" came a singsong voice. "I could show you my new strip routine if you'd like, darling~"

If Caleb had been paying closer attention, he would have seen how much distress poor Makayla was in. Unfortunately, he was still subject to being an airhead despite not being blond.

Oops. Caleb inwardly kicked himself for thinking with the head that wasn't on his shoulders.

Setting down the wine glass on the bedside table, the redhead climbed onto the sea of magazines, sprawling himself out like a cat over them so Makayla couldn't see the vast majority of things she felt the need to plan out. "You know, you have my sister and my mother. And myself! You don't have to shoulder all of this on your own, my dear. You just worry about the decorations you want, the dress and the bachelorette party if you want one. I could always find a nice caterer for us and I've already got the tux ordered. I just need it fitted..."

Caleb turned over and stretched out, effectively ending any planning Makayla had placed on herself and created a functional table made of abdominal muscles. "And as for the strip routine, how am I supposed to keep you entertained on our first night as a married couple?"

Wink wink.

Good, good. His plan was working!

MWAHAHAHAHAH!

With a grin, Caleb turned the tables on his fiancee, ending up on top of her in a sea of wedding magazines. Propping himself up on his elbows, he blew the bangs out of his face. "How's about this - I worry about the catering, Lucia can deal with flowers and decorations, you just pick the kind of music you want and we'll deal with that when the time comes. Oh!" His eyes lit up, remembering a good little piece of news. "Mom found a lovely photographer - did you know the lady down the street from the shop, at the bakery, her son is a photographer?" Caleb's mother had a way about her, conversing with all the business owners on the street the hair salon shared. She knew all sorts of interesting people.

"We can have you look at his portfolio and see what you think. And what was this about tricks up your sleeves?" Curious as a cat, the redhead started to poke around in Makayla's shirt for all sorts of tricks and secrets.

Just knowing Makayla allowed them to take some of the stress of wedding planning off of her shoulders was a relief - the young woman had a tendency to take everything upon herself and stress herself to the point of illness at times.

Being denied information (as well as a peek at her lovely form), Caleb pouted. "But... but...!" And with that, his fiancee squirmed from his grip and stood over him with a grin on her face. In protest, the half-naked man rolled over and oozed off the bed, the crown of his head touching the floor while the rest of him lay plastered atop the magazines. He was very, very good at being very, very pathetic and it usually resulted in him getting his way in some shape or form. Luckily he was cute, otherwise he might get decked a few times.

Caleb put on his best whiny voice. "But Makaylaaaaaa... I just wanted you all to myself where are you goiiiiiing..." Surely there wasn't something more important to do besides lay with him and squish magazines!

Caleb's face was something like gonk .

"You... you can't do that!" came the accusation, the redhead desperately trying to right himself and turn over to protest more vehemently about this unethical treatment. "'Kayla, you're like a drug - I need my fix! You can't do this to me!" There was one time when they were separated for a week due to the Desrosiers family vacation and Caleb had nearly clawed his own eyes out. Lucia made fun of him for weeks but she simply didn't understand! He was an addict!

When she didn't give in, Caleb melted into a sad puddle on the floor - a puddle of tears, lots of hair and naked flesh. "You just like torturing me you, evil, evil goddess, you..."

He looked up at her and pouted as hard as he could.

Dramatic SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH.

"Alright, if you insist on torturing me, then I'll just whine and complain until I can get my way on our wedding night... or maybe a little before that." With a wink, they shared a passionate kiss and Caleb tried desperately to peel himself off the floor without losing his pants...

...or maybe that would be a good idea...

The smirk that suddenly sprang to his lips had faded just as quickly as it appeared. Makayla was serious about adhering to this tradition even if they weren't a traditional couple in any sense of the word. If it was her wish, so be it, and he would comply. Even if he hated it forever and ever and ever and it was mean. "I'll placate myself with trying to imagine you in the sexiest thing I can think of... which..." He tapped his chin. "...will be difficult given the fact that you look sexy in sweatpants but we'll see what I end up narrowing it down to, okay?"

He sighed happily into the kiss until she pulled away but he tried to control the pout. Wedding plans were important, and this would be one of the most important days of Makayla's wife. With a grunt, Caleb righted himself and weaseled his way back onto the bed, propping himself up on his elbows. "Why not do some of the planning in here? I promise I won't distract you... too much."

The redhead winked. He loved her so much.
