At the antiques shop known as Johnny Zeitgeist, Emry was helping a customer carry a large, standing mirror wrapped in foam padding and plastic to their minivan.

The white-haired boy had been only slightly more encouraging than usual when the customer had originally expressed interest in the mirror. But that was natural now that mirrors had become a secretly more important part of his life.

They were just finishing up now, carefully sliding the mirror into the back of the minivan.

A week had passed by since Isha's last visit to the Destiny City University area. He honestly had no real reason to be over here; he didn't attend the school, he really didn't have much of an interested is the shops over here, and he had already ventured over here to explore a while back. Yet, after a meeting with his teacher, the boy found himself quickly rushing over there, to share some exciting news with a man he met in an antique shop! Or atleast he found the news exciting. And of course, he did bring his card with him once again. There was actually something very specific he wanted to purchase, and hopefully they would have it in stock.

Once he was dropped off at Johnny Zeitgeist, he saw that the one he was looking for was preoccupied with another customer, loading something heavy into a van. Instead of bothering him, he went to the front door waiting for him to head back inside.

"Hello! I'm here to shop again! Well, shop, and to see you! ... Funny, last time we met, we never introduced ourselves. Shall we do that, or are you still busy?" Isha honestly didn't want to bother someone who was busy with work, and he had not expected there to be another customer! To him, antique shops were quiet, mostly unused shops.. Lovely places, indeed, but he doubted they had too much business. Unless there were lots of retirees and eccentric here in Destiny City. He would suppose he fell into the eccentric category. After all, what sixteen year old goes 'antique shopping'?

After seeing the customer off, Emry turned around and was surprised to see Isha waiting for him.

"Hello! I always have time for a customer and right now you're the only one here. I do have someone coming in about an hour to pick up a set of chairs, though introductions shouldn't take that long. I'm Emry. Emry Farwood."

He held the shop's door open for Isha to enter first.

"I'm Isha Chaudhary, oh, thank you!" He entered the shop, feeling a little pleased with the whole 'always have time for you' thing, even though it was directed as for a 'customer'.

"Might you have time for a friend too?" He jested, rummaging though his bag for his phone, just as he did last time.

"As much as I'm here to shop for something, I wanted to share something that reminded me of you that I found out earlier this week! Actually, it reminded me of a few people, but mainly of you first!" There was the whole problem of Emry POSSIBLY not being too friendly if he wasn't a customer, so maybe it would be best to initiate his purchasing reason for being here too.

"Uh, but of course, I did want to buy something. I'm looking for a big vase, large enough to hold a bunch of sunflowers, and a Mirror to put near it. "

"A vase big enough for sunflowers, hmm? That also means you'll need a vase that is meant to hold water."

He pointed to a large floor vase with several decorative holes making a latticework of the sides.

"So not that one."

He looked around, thinking. Not answering the question about having time for friends was intentional, but he did his best to just seem distracted. Emry didn't quite understand what friends were and, as far as he was aware, he didn't have any. Certainly friends weren't something that happened after just one, even two meetings, right? Besides, he was pretty sure he didn't have time for friends, anyway. Between work, school, environmental activism and being a senshi, friends just weren't in the picture.

"I think we have at least two that could work, though. One's a Tiffany."

He pulled out a large pyxis, about two feet high. It was bright blue at the base, giving way to a motif of peacock feathers at the top. It sat in a metal base shaped into a pair of golden peacocks.

Turning, Emry pointed to a twenty-inch straight vase painted with roses and hollyhocks sitting on a pedestal.

"And then there's that one, which looks Picard-style, but I'd have to check the books to be sure. I can look around for some others. I thought we had a French colonial one, but we might have sold it on one of my days off."

"Mirrors are all over the place. What size do you need?"

Emry wasn't quite sure why Isha needed a mirror next to some sunflowers, but it sounded like either a composition or an interior decoration issue.

"If my flowers were fake, then they would be perfect! I have been to one of those shops.. Um.. Hobby Lobby I think it was called, back in Maryland, and they had these HUGE fake flowers. Kinda Alice in Wonderland size. Well, technically she wasn't that tall, she just shrunk, but you know, comparisons. " There was no way he wasn't taking that as a joke, and he smiled pretty wide about it too. As serious as Emry came off as, it was refreshing to hear something like that come from him.

Looking around with wonder at everything he had missed during the last trip here, he came to stop before the pyxis, and as lovely as it was, he wasn't going to choose it right away. Not without look around at others. Nothing good ever came from unconsidered decisions. But even with the other vase shown to him, he began to think that flowers in a vase covered in flowers would be a bit.. Peculiar.

"I think I actually like the Tiffany one better. The colors would look great with the yellow of the Sunflowers, I think. As for Mirrors.. I want something full size, and easily movable. Er, like a standing mirror. I'd like one I could reposition, to redirect light in a project I'm doing in my home. " Finally! A little topic that came up so he could redirect attention to his news.

"Oh! And I wanted to invite you to the garden in my home. I live on one of those awkwardly large estates closer to the mountains, and our garden is at it's peak right now. I didn't think about it before, but I thought it would be pretty cool to have someone comeover and explore it with me. I mean, it's pretty freaking huge, and I never really went outside in it before, because my allergies were really really bad. But with new medicine, that's been fixed, so I'd love to have a friend come over and explore it with me." His hands moved in a grand fashion, moving about to show the shape that it made. In his mind, it was absolutely stunning, atleast what he could remember seeing from his window.

"I figured it would also be a cool place for you to do more of your art projects. The area around our home goes directly into the mountains, if you go back far enough, and you seemed like someone who very much appreciates nature, so I just thought it would be something fun to do, you know?" Oh gods, he was rambling, wasn't he? He couldn't help it though! He honestly didn't have too many friends in this city, even though he had been living here for nearly five months already. And the one friend he DID have never seemed to be available. So why not use every opportunity he had to meet new people, huh?

The comparison to Alice in Wonderland managed to lure a small, amused smile from Emry.

He checked the tag on the Tiffany vase and walked over to the counter and opened the record book to the appropriate page, just to have it available.

"Let me know if you see any other vases you might like. There could be some others around. There should be a couple standing mirrors by the dresses and another by the doll shelf."

He pointed to both locations, neither of which were too far from where the two were standing.

"Er....are your parents okay with you inviting an adult over?"

Emry hadn't really associated with any high school-aged kids or younger between his high school graduation and meeting Isha. He hadn't even spoken with any of the younger members of the Dark Mirror Court.

Not that Isha's invitation didn't sound enticing. All that nature!

"Oh, you smiled. I think it looks very nice on you." He wasn't going to mention that the other should smile more, that was so inconsiderate. Just because someone didn't smile all the time, didn't mean that they were unhappy people, after all.

The shop really was a beautiful place, and at the mention of more items of interest by the dresses, he immediately went over to check them out, taking in each bit of detailing on the mirror. He vaguely wondered if one day he'd be able to move through such a thing like he had heard his Dark Mirror friends speaking about.. If that was the case, then a movable mirror would be awesome.

"I've had older people come over before. They know that I make older friends pretty often, and that they can trust my judgement. I maybe still just a highschooler, but I'd like to think that I'm pretty good at judging character." Having moved behind the mirror, he peeked around the side. It was taller than he was by a good foot or so!

"And I think they'd be happy to know that I've made a new friend, after being cooped in so long. In saying that.. The security around my home is pretty good, living in one of those 'rich neighborhoods' and all. I don't think you're much of a threat at all. Unless.. You're saying that you could be." His words were all in jest, however, and he could not stop smiling! Emry was just going to say yes, he knew it!

Emry looked doubtful, but he bit.

"How long will the garden be....peaking? The next few days are pretty busy for me. Would next week be too late?"

He grabbed a rag and some dust polish from behind the counter and began dusting a rocking chair.

"As long as the weather remains nice, I think they'll remain beautiful until the first frost." And even if not, then ah well, there was still the woods to explore! He had been back there a few times, the woods, not the garden, but he had found a pretty awesome lake. As a senshi, he had even went back there to train a few times. A natural obstacle course.

"I think I'll like this mirror. The wooden frame with the flower motif.. I think it suits my project very well. Since it's quite large, I'll have to call my driver to come pick it up. Oh, and I should probably give you the address to stop by at." Since his phone was already out, he sent a quick text to the Driver waiting for him back at the house. Atleast this would be enough of a warning to let him know to bring the pickup rather than the Wraith.

"We could even have lunch out there in the back, you know? Make it something really nice, though I think seeing the flowers and the wilderness out there would be enough for you, huh?

"So sometime next week, then. If you give me your phone number also, I can call ahead."

As he ducked into the back room to grab some plastic and foam wrap, Emry made a mental note to check his schedules later to see when he would actually be free. He returned and set the wrapping supplies down so that he could first check the tag on the mirror. He ran his fingers over the flower motif. Ever since he had awoken as a Dark Mirror Senshi, he had taken time to familiarize himself with all of the mirrors that came through the shop. He found that draining a person's energy while in their own home reduced the chances of being interrupted.

"So this mirror and the Tiffany vase."

It was a statement which requested verification. The white-haired boy went back to the record book to find the entry for the mirror.

"Neither of these have a story to them, like the teacups."

He was pretty sure that wouldn't bother Isha. Emry just liked to see the stories the old things had to tell.

"That sounds perfect, yes! I don't have anything else to do next week, so I'll be free for any time! I'd say sometime in the afternoon, maybe a few hours before sunset? The world outside is completely different in the twilight hours compared to the daylight ones." While Emry went to the back room, he himself went ahead and wrote down his number on a business card for the shop that was on the counter.

It seemed to him that Emry had a fascination with the mirror, which he thought could almost be suspicious, knowing what the Dark Mirror court was, but he brushed it off. After all, the man worked in an antique shop, and the mirror WAS an antique.

"It's a very beautiful mirror.. And I feel like more and more recently flowers have become important to me. It's a nice little reminder of things that make me happy, even in times as dark and dreadful as these. Ah, right, As much as I love stories, I think they're prefect without them. I say.. I'll make my own stories with them, then one day, they'll be known for something I did."

Emry rang up the cost of the items and returned to the duty of preparing them for travel.

"I agree, it's a nice mirror. You don't often find many of the surviving large ones with that sort of woodwork. Could you pass me that tape?"

He pointed to a spool of tape he had set on a table behind Isha.

"How would you say flowers have become important to you recently? Because of the flower arranging? Oh!"

He went to the counter again, checked the book, then opened up a filing cabinet and pulled out an envelope.

"This goes with the vase. Documentation to verify that it's a Tiffany. Make sure the stories you make are properly documented. It makes the research easier."

That last part may have been a joke. It was hard to tell with Emry. He handed off the envelope.

"Oh, yeah, sure, here." He was quite entertained by how quickly the man worked, packing up the things as quickly as he did. It was almost offensive, in a joking way! What if it had been a sign to get out of the shop faster? Naw, He was certain that if Emry wanted him gone, he would have said so.

"Well, yeah, that, and a few people I've met recently have had some connections or love to flowers as well. It's strange.. Flowers seem to be tying me more and more to new friends, and I'm hoping these ties last for a long time. But maybe that's just me being silly. " He took the documents, putting it safely in his bag.

"Yeah, well, if I have a story to tell, hopefully it won't just be me. I'd love to be able to have a shared story together, make memories that actually last. My driver will be here in a moment, so we can just have him take it out, he won't mind."

Emry slid the two now-bundled packages out of the way, just in case any new customers walked in. Many customers were often in a hurry, which is why he learned to wrap items as quickly as he had.

"Anyone else have hydrangeas or do I have a monopoly on that? Or were you just talking about flowers in general?"

He looked at the address that the younger boy had written for him and tried to remember if there were any bus routes in the area.

"The stories that are remembered are the one's that impact the world around you, for good or for bad."
