Sprung forth amid the wilderness surrounding the World Crossroads lies a temple, from wherein the many daily recitations and prayers to the Buddha and the Boddhi can be heard. Throughout the exterior features you see the elements moving in harmony and merely looking upon them a sense of calmness overcomes you, as if manifest enlightenment drifts forwards from within. You realize, however, that as you look at these features, they are only the beginning of the outer walls of the temple, and you can clearly see a little further inside that a man walks atop a balcony, warmly smiling at you upon arrival. Unsure of whether or not you will enter he merely bows to you, wishing you well, although you cannot hear this affirmation. After a brief moment the monk heads on his way. Should you choose to proceed further you will come to one of seven gates and be greeted by one or two warrior monks, still young in life and willing to protect the temple at all costs. These men will weigh you and your soul, possessing a gaze that seems to move directly through you, and upon acceptance allow you to enter the temple beyond.
As you enter further you see more aesthetic pieces of work with the nature of enlightenment worked into them, and while the temple bears a central honour to the Buddha you hear recitations to the Boddhi mingled in with them as well. Progressing further into the temple you come across multiple sanctuaries as well as the central focus chamber, wherein many monks are amid the recitations you heard earlier. As you pass into the next chamber, you see a monk come towards you, offering you a free meal. The sense and feeling of chakra in the air around you builds as you begin to understand, on a more spiritual level, the significance of this, the Temple of Buddha.
The furthest chamber which you can enter is a solitary prayer chamber, with but a handful of monks paying homage to Amida Buddha, to whom this temple was dedicated upon founding.

Taka had been walking for a few hours toward a structure she could see in the distance. She came up to the door wondering if she would be aloud to enter at all with her past. She wanted a calm place that she could be in for just a little while. She would bow in a proper manner to the monks that would greet her. She would meet their gaze but felt it looking into her soul rather than her eyes so she crossed her hands and simply waited.

A monk slowly walked towards Taka, rather than by her as the rest of the monks had being doing. There was some purpose for her to be here, and the monks knew this. Otherwise, why would she come out all this way from her village? "You seek enlightenment, young one?" The old, wrinkly monk softly asked.
"I no longer know what my exact purpose is. I have come to find this out. Can you assist me?"She asked simply. "I thought I was a protector of those close to me but all of them have fallen. I have either failed or misread my own being. I have walked to this temple unguided and unintentionally but fate seems to have brought me here for one reason or another." She said with a short bow before straightening up and meeting his eyes. She was reminded of her old sensei looking at this one.

The old monk's scraggly long eyebrows settled as Taka spoke. "To know one's self is to know others, and to be able to understand them in all regards. Come," he indicated with a low hand gesture. Turning, he put his two hands behind his back, as if supporting them, and walked towards a low building at the back of the temple. Ivy hung draped across its stone structure, ending in white and red flowers across the left side. The door to the inside was situated to the right of them, with more green ivy drooping down the right side to the ground.
It was dark within the interior, but Taka's eyes would gradually adjust, minute after minute. The old man took a few steps forward after arriving inside the tiny place, pushing an indiscriminate rock on the wall. It looked like all of the other ones, but as it sank into the wall, a set of stair opened up, leading downwards to more darkness. After a moment or two, torches lit the path, bursting to life as if summoned from the plane of fire. The feeling of being intensely watched, as if Taka and the old man were suddenly under a great threat, chilled the hairs on her spine.
As per usual in the series the eyes of the female were underestimated by the narrator! She could damn near see in the dark with her enhanced nightvision. Nevertheless she was tense, entering the room her tail flicked back and forth in agitation but she was trying to obey the rules of the land, no hostilities in the temple. She took a breath, calmed herself and looked for the source uneasily. " Im being watched...again..."She commented quietly. Her hands brushed along the cool metal of her razor like folding fans and calmed herself.

Leading the way down the stairs, the wrinkly old monk led the way. The stairs curled in a downwards spiral, heading far, far underground. The dark, damp walls sizzled as the fresh torches came on one by one. Several stories down, the stairs curled out onto a solid platform. Before the two beings, a decently sized room vaulted up ten... no fifteen feet? Thirty or so meters in front of them sat a large statue of the Buddha, and of Kannon. At their base, a tiny kneeling pad and a dusty book sat. Moving out of the way, the monk indicated for Taka to read it whilst kneeling there. In the mean time, he softly walked over to the nearest corner, grasping a gnarled old tree branch of a staff that leaned there. [Sennin Moodo contained within the book]

Taka nodded and sat on the pillow, bowing low and giving proper respect to the alter before taking the book. She started to read about something called natural chakra. She had assumed she always had natural chakra but it appeared that wasnt quite correct. She looked to her right and saw some water in a bowl, and dipped her fingers into it to see if she could feel any other chakra sources than her own. As she looked on her eyes went wide as her fingers started to turn to stone immediately. She quickly burnt a kai and found out this wasnt going to work. "s**t!"She swore and started trying to shake her hands free of the creeping stone but it didnt appear to be working.

Awfully wretched karma there, the young one had. The old monk didn't know about Taka's inner demon, but perhaps it was due to Kurama's influence? Dashing towards Taka, the old man displayed an amazing amount of ability, jumping off of the old stone floor before reaching her. Sailing over her head, he swung the knotted wood in his hand, twapping the natural chakra out of her hands. Shortly thereafter, he landed in front of the statues. "Try again."

Taka nodded and rubbed the knot on the back of her head. A little whimper came from her, uncharacteristic of the female who usually put on the tough den mother outer shell. She was still somewhat of a kid despite the atrocities in her life. She took her hands and scooped up a handful of water and washed her face in it careful not to swallow any and waited to see if she was to be petrified. She didnt feel it happening this time and immediately closed her eyes and sat there, motionless and mind blank on the pillow. (bathing +1 post)
She focused on her own chakra first, trying to get a feel for her signature and to discern the difference of that around her. She could find her own easily but that was a little different than finding the resonance of the fire in the torches for example. Within a few moments she could feel the ambient chakra in the room. The water that she washed her face in helped a bit with this. It had somewhat interesting qualities. (2/5)
The difficult part was how to gather it. She could gather her biju's chakra a little bit easy for transference but this was much different. The biju was made of chakra, she had to draw it from living things to fulfil this order. She had apparently taken the monk as a sensei for the time being. If this would help her fulfill her purpose she would do it! (3/5 +1/1 chakra transfer technique learned (biju level 0 technique) )
She reached a quiet place with her mind and blanked out all of her surroundings. She could now feel the chakra. She grabbed on with hers and started to gather natural energy. She felt a small moment of excitement that was quickly sucked away by blankness in her mind. She could feel the chakra slip away but saw the error she was making. (4/5)
She quickly corrected her mistake and wrapped a layer of her own chakra around the natural chakra, a thin green aura surrounding her body and her irises going slitted. She could feel everything around her that had chakra, a new sensation to her as she opened her eyes. She looked at her hand and turned it over, observing the chakra. She smiled a little bit and closed the book, giving it proper respect on a short bow from the pillow. Replacing the book she would stand in her newfound glowyness. (5/5 Sennin modo thingy obtained)

The old man stood there the entire time Taka was meditating. When she stood, it was as if she had attained enlightenment from the ancient wisdom of the statues' sitting in front of her. "Good, for the second try. Someone must be looking down upon you from on high." Indeed, that sense of someone watching Taka was still there, and it was pleased. A large rumble through the temple caused the dust to shake from the ceiling. Dropping lightly to the floor, a mysterious and ancient paper drifted down to between the monk and the shinobi. "Oh?" The old man questioned. "When I look at a river, it seems like it's the world turning underneath it, instead of the river running over it. In the same way, you have turned closer to this ancient paper. Take it, it's yours to read and learn."

Raigō: Amida Buddha: Tate no Kanashimi o Hirakimasu [ Welcoming Approach: Amida Buddha: Enlightenment through the Aegis of Sorrow ] Rank: S Official Description: Hōzō made 48 Vows which serve as the basis for the modern vows taken by lay followers, monks, and nuns of the Buddhist faith. These 48 Vows are believed by some to have been powerful Genjutsu, wherein such force was demanded that the very heavens bowed to his will. Through the Aegis of Sorrow the Spectral Amida Buddha brings Enlightenment to others, by forcing them to see the various worlds he created within these vows, but also forces the sorrow and pain of this world upon the opponents to aid them in casting off the shackles of despair. The Buddha takes it's energies directly from the Senjutsu of the Summoner. Any Sennin who calls forth the Amida Buddha may only call forth a C-Ranked amount of Senjutsu Chakra per turn, which they may further boost to the Amida Buddha if they so desire.
Amida Buddha may only cast Genjutsu, as he has Sworn to never physically bring harm to another living being. The Buddha may also remain in the physical world for as long as the Boddhi Seishi, but will also disperse should his Chakra Pool of Senjutsu run dry. As a transcendent being he will place himself between his summoner and physical harm, but at the drawback that he cannot interfere against any Ninjutsu or Fuuinjutsu that is cast, meaning the summoner has to rely on their own techniques to do such.

Taka took the paper and started reading it. The ink was old, the paper even older somehow. She had to focus to actually read the parchment.(1)
She looked up at the statue and smiled a bit as it seemed to be looking back at her as if waiting. She nodded and reach through the paper, committing it to memory rapidly. It was a sage level technique that more or less summoned a version of Buddha(2)
She read the vows first, committing each and every line to memory rapidly. It seems that it would involve the use of sage chakra. She would need to gather some natural energy just to learn the technique. (3)
She sat in the medatitive position and shut her eyes. A simple deep breath and a release of air in her lungs settled her mind in practiced ease. She obtained her stillness to gather her chakra. (4)
It would take a few minutes to gain the chakra that she needed. She was pulling it in at a fair rate but this summon seemed to take a lot of energy. She started glowing once more, her eyes going slit pupil on her once more, her vision sharpening. (5)
She started to glow vividly in the room. The walls around her took on a green hue from the chakra. She could honestly feel it welling up inside her, a warm feeling as her strength increased. (6)
She pulled up the memory of the jutsu while she drew in the chakra. She started to mold the extra chakra. It was still a slow process. She could feel the power of it and it was tough to mold. (7)
This jutsu was one of the more challenging ones that she had faced. She formed a ram seal to draw more chakra to the technique itself. It seemed to help but the technique was far from entirely formed. (cool
She started to get purchase with the chakra. It formed the outline of what she was trying to bring into this world but the being was resisting. She hadnt done the vows yet but she couldnt talk to it without bringing the being into this reality. (9)
She pulled the chakra back inward to try and remold it. This chakra was quite dangerous to deal with. She was honestly worried about using it. (10)
She compressed the chakra into her center. Reforming the chakra she swirled the ball through her system and pushed it into reality. It started to take form finally! (11)
She formed the other sets of the seals. Pushing more chakra into the technique, the air in front of her started to shine. She smiled as it was taking form wonderfully. (12)
It was a bit hard to look at, this particular buddah. The brightness in particular hurt her eyes. They were still used to the dark. (13)
She gave a final push and the buddah would fully materialize in the world but before she could make a pact, she cut off the chakra. She had read the warning about the techniques being incredibly draining. She smiled and stood up, stretching after the exertion, letting out a happy sounding mewl at the success. The old monk sat down, going into meditation as Taka finished. There wasn't anything else for him to do, as she had graduated with full honors. Up above, on the surface, a gangster was walking around, kicking dust at the statues. The monks eyed him carefully as they walked to and fro, waiting for an even more disrespectful action to take place.
Taka bid the man thank you and farewell with a short bow. She would turn and walk out the same way she was escorted in, stopping at a torch and wrapping one of her summoning seals around the handle and replacing it back into the holder. She smiled feeling a little better than before. She would emerge from the door into the bright sun with a smile that was short lived. She looked at the person pacing angrily back and forth. Seemed odd to be furious at a temple of sorts. She didnt approach him but watched him from the door nearby in silence.

The gangster stopped and stared at the young miss. "Wha' chu want, babe?! Ehhhhh...." He sashayed his lithe body in a sort of peacock ritual, pulling out a hair comb to quickly brush his extended hair. Chewing on a toothpick, he moved closer to Taka, pulled down his sunglasses a little bit, and gave a wide grin. "Heh. Didn't know I find a good catch here."
