Breaking news from Jayski.com because of circumstances out of his control Jeff Gordon will be allowed to be a part of the chase. Logano and front row are both on probation. No word if they will get any further penalties but it looks like it will be 13 cars competing for a championship this year.

I consider this the best thing to happen for Jeff. He really did get screwed out of the chase.
Some people are saying that this is a low point in Nascar. Except my mom made some good points:
"I mean, it isn't baseball. It isn't the second or third strike they talked about having in 20 years, like baseball almost did. They don't use steroids. They aren't fighting it out about whether to use instant replay or not, and they don't have a designated hitter to argue about. They have a long way to go to find low points comparable to baseball or fill in replacement referees like the NFL did the first part of last season."

They played the press conference live on NASCAR radio and I was speechless. I'm still stunned. I"m happy that Jeff got in, because he got screwed. But this is the last thing we need right now! The green flag can't come quick enough.
Edit, I just noticed I have 777,777 gold. This is on top of Jeff Gordon being the 13th seed, being added on a Friday the 13th in 2013.
