Summer hadn't lasted nearly as long as Eternal Sailor Tsui was hoping it would, but at the same time, she was looking forward to the fall. She didn't really have to worry about school, as the program she could herself in made it to where she would only spend half a day in class and the other half at Padma's Bouquiet, and with the hours she worked, there was always time for her to get her daily patrols taken care of. She never was the scholarly type and she didn't even think she'd go to college, but she was thankful to have enough time to juggle all of those things and a love life at the same time. With the increased activity of Chaos in this city and a bad report from that Tag Swagger, the Eternal Senshi of Tigers had her mind set on finding some way to rise above that propoganda and put the Senshi in a good light again.

So she found herself near the school grounds of an elementary school, Knightside Academy, sitting on a branch in the tree and keeping an eye and ear out for any suspicious activity. The safety of the smallest members of the city should have been a top priority for any member of the White Moon Court and the knights, and Tsui had full intentions on keeping them safe. If a Senshi saved young children's lives, then surely the city wouldn't think of them as a menace that Swagger and others were making them out to be, right?

But Tsui wasn't one for politics and anything of the sort, only fighting and teaching, and she kept her attention onto the school, hoping to detect any surrounding auras, either it be friend or foe, with enough time to react. Not that she wanted anything bad to happen to the school or the ones inside, but Tsui was eager for a little company this evening, to exercise either her fists or her mouth, whichever one approached her first.

Let me know if this is an okay start.

High school was a tough change for anyone, but starting high school and being a senshi was just making life confusing. To be honest, all that Lutetia wanted right now was a dose of normalcy. Though the only normal she could think of was on the swing set of Knightside. That seemed as good a place as any to get her thoughts in order and try to dispel any doubts she had about her life and all of the angsting that high school brought.

It seemed though that she wasn’t destined to be alone on this fine night and the chibi senshi peered around, trying to find the source of the very large power signature that she felt. Finally she got off of her swing, brushing her skirt off and walking closer.

“Hello? Is someone else here? I can feel you, you know…and I think you’re a senshi, aren’t you?”

Sure, it might have been a shot in the dark, but hey. She wasn’t sure what to think right now. Besides, this aura or whatever felt different than the last two. It was more powerful, and much more…robust. It must belong to a for real senshi…which meant someone older and wiser. Perhaps this could be a good thing after all.

“My name is Lutetia, if that matters to you at all.”

I am sorry that it took me so long! I was very distracted with life and the event xp

Tsui felt the approaching energy signature and pegged it to be a base level senshi, though rank wasn't all that important to her, so long as it was an ally. And this one? Was definitely an ally. While grateful that whoever was approaching her was an ally, there was a small part of her that was disappointed that it wasn't someone she could sharpen her claws on. But still, a new friend was definitely okay.

The Senshi of Tigers remained in the tree as the other senshi called out to her, and while she thought about giving her a good scare, just to keep her on her toes, she immediately rejected the idea when she spotted who it was. A Chibi! Tsui was excited to see another Chibi among their ranks, as there were so few, and Tsui allowed for that excitement to be heard as she called down to Lutetia. "Yep, I'm a senshi alright, and one of the best, if I do say so myself! Nah, I'm joking, but I am pretty good."

She waved her hand to try to get her attention, and she wasted no time in introducing herself. "Name's Tsui, Eternal Senshi of Tigers. Nice to meet you, Lutetia! Are you new?"

Lutetia nodded. This girl looked tough. Tough was a very good word to describe her. Maybe battle hardened would be another girl description word. “Senshi of tigers.” Her voice trailed off as she looked the older girl up and down once more, nodding appreciatively. “That’s a pretty cool type of senshi to be. I’m the um. Chibi senshi of migration, nothing nearly as fantastic as tigers but there’s nothing I can do about that I guess. Can you change what you’re the senshi of? That would be pretty sweet. I’d change to the senshi of.” She paused, thinking. “Senshi of anything really. Migration is so lame. And my outfit. Why don’t I havae something like you? You look amazing, so tough and epic. I just look like I’m in a Little House on the Prairie episode. Nothing good about it at all.”

She drew in a deep breath, a bit of pink coloring her cheeks. “I didn’t mean to go off like that. Jeeze you must think I’m immature now, hm? I don’t know. This whole senshi thing. It’s just too much. With this and high school…I feel burnt out. You know, if that makes any sense to you. Besides. I’m fourteen. I don’t understand why I still have to be a chibi senshi, shouldn’t I have poofed and gotten older or stronger? You feel about a million times stronger than I am. At least a million.”

Tsui liked to think that she wasn't a megalomaniac, but she certain did enjoy hearing compliments coming her way. She tried not to let it get to her head, but wouldn't it have been rude to not accept it? She gave a rather proud smile, ready to tell her 'oh, stop it you' and interject, but it seemed that this one had a mouth on her, and a great set of lungs to go with it.

Not that Tsui minded. After all, she could be a motormouth as well, and it wasn't as though the chibi Senshi's rambling wasn't without merit of its own. Part of being an Eternal meant listening to other's problems and helping find the answers, and Tsui may not be able to offer much, but she'd give them something. "Well, you shouldn't sell yourself short, Lutetia. I'm sure there's a lot you can do, you just need some time figuring it out, that's all. And I can help with that!"

Finally, Tsui pushed herself off the branch and landed next to the chibi, who was, surprisingly, about her size. To add to her confusion was her comment, and she couldn't help but let her thoughts bubble out of her mouth like they did. "Wait, you're in high school? That's interesting... how long have you been a Senshi?"

She didn't want to admit that she was a bit baffled by this revelation, but she didn't think bad of Lutetia for it. After all, she was just as confused about it as everyone else was, and besides, it wouldn't have been right to nag her about that. Instead, she tried to think about her sphere, and she gave an inquisitive shrug as she made a suggestion. "Last I checked there's no way to switch what your sphere is. Tied to your past... some of us just get lucky, I guess. But there's got to be something you can bring to the table, otherwise you wouldn't have been awakened. I'm sure of it!"

Lutetia managed a smile as Tsui spoke so easily of helping her out. Well, maybe this all wouldn’t be so bad. If she could get a tough mentor or something maybe she could make herself feel less useless about the world. “Yeah. I am in high school. I started not too long ago, I’m just a freshman.” When had she become a senshi? It was over the summer, wasn’t it? Sometime over the summer. “I think I became a senshi either at the end of July or the beginning of August. But I’m not really all that sure. It wasn’t that long ago, but it was long enough ago that I can’t remember when. If that makes any sense.”

When Tsui mentioned that it was a no go for changing her sphere, Lutetia gave a heavy sigh. “I was really hoping you were going to say that it was completely possible. I would have loved to be a senshi of tigers with you, that would be beyond cool. But on the topic of me bringing something to the table, I think the only think I’ll bring is the ability to move the table to another room, if that makes any sense. I migrated the table.”

She pause for a moment, then shrugged. “I guess it wasn’t that funny anyway. When did you become a senshi? Was it a long time ago? Did you ever not like your sphere?”

"Hm. Makes some sense, I guess." Which was Tsui talk for 'not really sure but too prideful to admit to this aloud', and the Tiger Senshi couldn't help but muse to herself as to what vexed Lutetia. She was fourteen but was still a Chibi senshi? It reminded Tsui that there were still many things that she didn't know, despite her experiences, and she pondered if Ganymede or Valhalla would have been able to get an answer on that. "Maybe there's something you're missing? Like... some kind of ritual, or maybe something that the guardian cat that awakened you forgot to do?"

That was another solution. Find a guardian cat and get the answers from them! It seemed like a good idea to explore...

"Well, I'm sure there's something that Migration can do to help. Maybe you can forced all these witless youma to migrate themselves off of the cliff and into the ocean and we'd be done with them forever?" Tsui said with a joke, not meaning to belittle her but cheer her up in her own way. It was still a valid suggestion, though, so if Lutetia didn't like it, she'd simply have to think of something else. Or maybe cause them to migrate back to the Rift and stay there.

"I became a senshi when I was fifteen, which was... er, two years ago now? Maybe? It was in either February or March, and there I met Pippin, the guardian cat that awakened me," Tsui said, remembering the pudgy cat with some fondness. "And no, I absolutely love my sphere! I always liked animals to begin with and tigers were always my favorite big cats, so, you could say it was meant to be."

“If the guardian cat who woke me up told me anything, that would have been great.” She looked down at the ground, kicking her shoe against it, a very sullen expression on her face. “The cat who decided to awaken me thought I was like a game of ding dong ditch. It gave me the pen, told me what to say then took off with no explanation what so ever, so uh. Maybe it did mess up on something.”

She looked up as Tsui talked about migrating youma into the ocean and looked just a little puzzled, though laughed as to mask her own growing incompetence. This girl had been a senshi for such a long time. It was kind of amazing, and here she was looking like a complete fool. “That is so neat. I was thirteen when I was awakened, I know that much. But I’m fourteen now. My birthday was just a few days ago. August 29th.” She looked rather pleased with herself. “Also, just so I can brag…I got into Crystal Academy! I was so excited that I made it in!”

This girl didn’t seem so bad now that she knew she was only a few years older than herself. Heck, she must still be in high school too! How awesome was that?

“Hey Tsui? Do you want to be friends?”

"Hm… seems to be a trend nowadays… Guardian cats only doing the awakening, never the explanations," Tsui said, not too pleased to hear of this growing trend and finding herself starting to get rather annoyed with it. Did the Guardian cats simply have no idea how this would affect senshi, or did they simply not know what they were pulling youths into? Were they just as clueless about all of this as they were? Something needed to be done about that, and Tsui made a mental note to look for a guardian cat and get an answer out of them the next time she could.

Despite these troubling thoughts, Tsui still gave Lutetia her ear, and upon hearing that she recently had her birthday, as well as was going to Crystal Academy, Tsui gave an approving nod. "Well, happy belated birthday, Lutetia. And congrats on going to Crystal. That was a school I really wanted to get into, but I got St. Mags instead. Junior year for me… but I'm part of the junior employment program, so I only go to school for half a day and work the rest."

Her invitation was given only a moment's consideration, and it was easy for the Senshi of Tigers to give her answer. "Absolutely! I haven't found a senshi or knight I never really liked, and I could always do with more friends. Who wouldn't? Don't worry, Lutetia… we'll figure out what's going on, even if we have to track down a Guardian cat and taunt them with a piece of string or something!"

Lutetia nodded vigorously and sighed. “It’s terrible, they should hand out a handbook or a pamphlet if they want to just awaken and run. Can you tell like, the head guardian cat? The guardian.” She paused, looking at Tsui somewhat suspiciously. “The guardian tiger or something. You’re a cat thing, can’t you pass the word on? I mean, you’re the senshi of a bunch of big cats. It might work, don’t you think?”

She gave a grin when the older senshi mentioned taunting a cat with some string. “That’s a great idea! I can go hunting for one, and keep it prisoner until it gives me answers! Either that or I could just get a few cans of tuna and hope for the best, don’t you think? Do you really think that would work?”

The chibi was kind of excited right now. She wanted to find a cat, and she wanted answers, for every question she had, even the stupid ones. Woe it was for the cat she found. Maybe a butterfly net would be needed to really drive the point home that they should do the question and answer session before they awaken people. Especially people who had better things to do than run around as a pretend super hero all night.

"I don't know if there is a head guardian cat, per say, but it's definitely something that needs to be done." Tsui couldn't blame Lutetia, or anyone in her own court, for their frustration, and Lutetia's complaint was not only a valid one but one that she herself had likely brought up, as well as countless others. Yet, nothing was being done. Something had to change, and soon. Lutetia's suggestion for her to be the one to pass it on made Tsui chuckle, but it wasn't a teasing one. She crossed her arms over her chest and gave the idea some consideration, before nodding, "Well, Tigers are pretty much the king of the big cats, despite what they may say about lions. I'll see if there's something I can do."

She assumed that Lutetia was joking when she mentioned tracking one down and holding them hostage, otherwise she wouldn't have laughed so hard. "Bribery with sweets works with Pippin, so I can imagine it'd work well with other cats. Just got to find what they're weakness is and lure them in. But seriously, I'm certain that if we find one, we can get some answers out of him or her. I mean, that's what they're here for, I think."

Surely guardian cats had a sense of duty and had some idea what they were getting Senshi into, or was it basic instinct for them to just awaken them? What if they didn't know much about this war? It seemed unlikely, but still possible. Perhaps she could help Lutetia find one... though she could tell that Lutetia was willing, and probably capable, of finding one on her own. "Don't worry. I'm sure when we find a guardian cat and stuff its face with treats, he'll be telling us everything we need to know about your transformation and how to upgrade."

Lutetia nodded, already forming a completely foolproof plan to catch herself a cat. It was going to be perfect, and she would get all of the answers to everything she needed answering. “Thank you very much for all of your help, Tsui. Maybe you and I could go shopping sometime? I mean. We’re not that far apart in age, so it seems!” Besides, having a friend who was a junior in high school, well. That was just the coolest thing ever pretty much. Even if she did go to St. Mags, who cared? She was still a cool, older teen!

“I think I have a pretty good plan for catching a cat, and I’ll find one and get the answers I need, I think!” She gave a smile, looking really happy for just about the first time in the conversation. But, we should hang out, I think that would be pretty cool. And I promise I’m not a bad freshman, honestly!”

She wasn’t, she really wasn’t. She was going to be one of the popular girls one of these days. That was a promise she made to herself, and clearly Tsui was one of the popular girls, no doubt about that.

Tsui wasn't too keen on the idea of shopping, though the notion of just hanging out was enough to make her bob her head. "Sounds like it'd be fun. Could always use more friends to spend my free time with, if my boss is willing to spare the time off. We'll definitely have to stay in contact."

Which meant to pull out her handy-dandy Senshi cellphone and save her information on it. She was a little concerned for the safety of whatever poor feline Lutetia snagged up, but she was certain that her knew friend wouldn't do anything to harm them... permanently. And get away with it, anyway. If word got to Tsui that a certain Chibi was torturing one of their cats, then she'd be the first in line to teach her a thing or two. But for now, she had faith in Lutetia. "We're all freshmen at some point, so no worries there. I can't tell you how much trouble I got into with skipping classes... but those days are over. Got a job and a girlfriend that won't allow me to skip anymore classes, no matter how tired or exhausted I may be."

After taking Lutetia's picture on her cellphone, she gave a stretch, looking ready to jump back into the tree she was once lounging around in. "Good luck with your feline hunt, and don't rough whoever it is TOO much. Maybe lure them with sweets instead? More flies with honey than vinegar, right?"

Lutetia couldn’t stop herself from smiling at just everything. Talk about the luckiest break she could have ever gotten. When Tsui took her picture, she didn’t say anything, but tried to smile. She didn’t want to burden the girl with even more questions, no that would be for the guardian cat that she was going to find. Maybe sweets would be a good way to reel in a helpful fountain of information, and then again, tuna or some sort of smelly fish would work to, she had no doubt.

“I’ll try that, thank you for talking with me, and I do hope to see you around, Tsui!” She gave a little wave then started off back towards her dorm, trying to think of just how much money she had saved up from allowance. It would take some funds at least to get the tuna, and maybe some dumb cat toys?

Whatever it took to snag a guardian cat, she was willing to pay the price. She really just wanted to figure everything out, and if not even older, much more experienced senshi could help her, then a guardian cat was the only thing that could possible do the trick.

The difficult part was now to acquire one.

"Don't worry, you'll be seeing me around all over the place," Tsui said, jumping and landing on top of the branch once more. Tigers weren't all that keen on climbing, but it gave her a good view of the scenery and heights never bothered her. It didn't take long for Tsui to get comfortable once more, wrapping her arms behind the back of her head and allowing her feet to dangle- not a very lady-like stance but one fitting for the Eternal senshi of Tigers. "And it's no problem, really. We've all been at that stage in our illustrious Senshi careers, though I wish getting answers wouldn't require us tracking down guardian cats."

Perhaps it was something she could bring up with the Jovians' the next time she saw them? It made her think about their whereabouts and safety, but it wasn't something she wanted to burden Lutetia with at the moment, not when she had her own problems to resolve. It also made her curious about the Chibi senshi, what made them different from themselves, or why children were enlisted into a war that none of them were prepared for. So many troubling thoughts, and Tsui just didn't have the patience for such prattle, at least not tonight.

"I wish you the best of luck. If you ever need a hand, give me a call and I'll come in swinging. Fighting's what tigers do best, you know!" Which completely contradicted the rather lazy lounging she was doing now, but the moment a chaos aura triggered on her senses, she'd be ready to pounce and dig her claws deep into the competition. "Let me know how your plan works the next time we meet."
