Personally I am against intervention in syria. However I am reminded of bosnia whenever I try to justify myself in that way. For a while I was almost certain that obama would order a strike. And in some sense it would be considered bac king down if he didn't do it, do to the fact that he said he would intervine if chemical weapons were used.
And then there's the Russians. Although I am glad that putin was able to prevent the strike I feel as if he is using the US for something, or just delaying the inevitable.
I agree with that position. Whilst I don't like the current government, for me it is purely a case of there not being any good alternatives in the conflict (as it seems that the alternative to the current government isn't exactly a good one either). It is sad to see that there is no such thing as a good thing to support (that's possible currently) in the conflict.
