The birds and the bees have nothing to do with breeding in Hoi Hippoi, but I'm sure you knew this. Hippoi are born all the same, from clouds drifting down to the human realm from the heavens, creating sweet, soft little foals and parenting responsibilities. Generally speaking, when one wants to have children, they approach the temple of their chosen god/dess (normally a god the parent(s) are devoted to) and leave an offering that would please them. All of the gods like different things, so make sure to check, you wouldn't want to accidentally displease them! If the offering is acceptable the god/dess of choice will grant your hippoi with 2-4 clouds and thus the parenting begins.

But your hippoi didn't offer anything and now it's stuck with a bunch of runts? Huh...? Well, I suppose the gods can be prone to error just as anyone else... don't tell them that though!

Easy as 1... 2... 3...!

Breedings cost 500 mil.
Please send this in a single trade to the colorist, how you split it amongst yourselves is totally up to you!

Hippoi can have 2-4 offspring at a time.
2 clouds are a given, you have increased chances of 3 from Hera blessings, RP, stats and mating. How you would receive 4 is unknown at this time!

Hippoi must have been adults for two weeks before breeding.
This means if they grew, two weeks after their growth date, if they came as adults, two weeks after you've obtained them.

Couples are not limited by gender.
Male couples, female couples, male and female couples as well as single parents are welcome to apply for offspring!

Couples are not limited by breed except...
Tauroi/Unicorn pairings! Any Hoi can breed with any other species so yes, minis may breed with regulars and so forth. Unicorns and Tauroi are natural enemies though, breedings between these pairings shouldn't happen unless there's a good story behind it and you have shop permission.

Parent breeds do not guarantee babies of that breed.
If you breed two Doroi, you might end up with three Hippoi. Please be aware of this when planning out your breedings, as certain species are rare for a reason.

Single parents, wots dis?
A hippoi with no mate is free to place an offering at the temple and hope for their dreams to come true! Now, this may backfire because the gods will mix genes with whatever suits their fancy at that moment. You may not describe your random mate, and complaints will have you banned from doing the same thing again, you get what you get, it is a random mate. You've been warned.

The gods will only help you three times...
Yup, that means what you think it means, the gods want to spread the love so they'll give you three chances at offspring and then you're cut off. That means to choose your partners wisely, because breedings are limited.

Clouds are yours to keep!
Except, yeah, there's rules. Each owner can only keep one per litter and you can't really make a profit off of any of them. Otherwise feel free to give them away however you see fit.

Roleplaying has two ways of increasing your chances at having an extra cloud. We like to reward our roleplayers, and this is one of our ways of saying thank you. Anyways, back on topic the first way is...

Hera Blessings
Any Hera follower has a special gift to bestow upon you, for they can bless your breeding with the power of Hera to help you gain an extra foal. There are some stipulations to this, the most important being this is a selfless act of love which means any Hera follower can't receive a blessing for him or herself. A Hera blessing must be RPed out and logged with approximately 1000 total words(or more). Please submit a link to your RP when you apply for breedings, your RP must be completed prior to the opening of breeding slots to apply.

Temple Offerings
If you RP your couples (or singles) leaving an offering at the temple for the god/dess of choice you'll get an added chance at having an extra foal! This RP must meet the minimum requirements of 1000 words and has to be completed prior to the opening of slots.

Other RPs
Looking for an oopsies breeding or not into that lovey dovey blessing stuff? Feel free to submit an RP of choice for a chance at an extra foal. It must contain both parents (or the single parent), be at least 1000 words long and completed before the opening of slots.
