It was super early in the morning, when the sun was up just enough to give the world a rosy glow, that Tallulah emerged from the water to slip forward toward where he knew there were some Firani camping out. He would do his best to try to get the drop on them by going out during first light. As the brightly colored Merkein moved forward, doing his best to be as quiet as possible, he climbed over the warm, sandy dunes, and peeked over the top of them to watch the pair of sleeping Firani for a long moment. Alright, how to go about this battle he thought to himself... there were two of them, but they were asleep which meant that it would be easy enough to ambush them. He could hope for the best in that his initial attack was enough to take them both out he thought to himself, his tail starting to lash from side to side behind him. He wanted nothing more then to add a couple more of their gleaming red orbs to his pile, wanting to show them off to Eyphah, wanting for his teacher to be proud of him. It seemed strange to find himself to attached to a land dweller, someone that wasn't of his family, wasn't even of the same clan as him, and to want to impress him so badly. It would be worth it though, he knew if he was able to impress Eyphah then that meant he was doing something right!
He started to take a couple steps forward when he heard a 'pst' sound, one that caused him to lift his head, looking from side to side, a look of confusion showing clearly on his features, "Eh?" He didn't really seem to see anything... so many he was hearing things? That must be it, he had been concentrating far too hard in the last week, going through battle after battle, stalking after the various sorts of dragons that dwelled in Eowyn. Maybe he was just lonely and he was hearing things he thought to himself as he turned his attention back to the two Firani in front of him once more, lowering himself into a crouched position, preparing to lunge... then heard that 'pst' sound again. He froze in place, looked from side to side once more, then gave a grumbling sound. Alright, one he could believe was just him hearing things but surely twice wasn't just his imagination, right? There had to actually be something or someone out there making that sound! But who or what was it, where were they, and why were they 'psting' at him? Especially now when he was about to get into a battle against the flame wielding Firani?!
There was another 'pssssst' this one a whole lot louder, drawn out, and it even sounded closer... and it was then that he realized that it wasn't somewhere around him, it was over him. Blinking a couple times he lifted his gaze to look up... and found himself starring up at the darkly colored Diabi Drakein who was flying over head, "Eyphah?!" He squeaked out in a quiet voice, watching as the other male pointed back in the way that he had come from, a direction away from the Firani, before flying off in that direction. Tallulah watched him go, looking all that much more confused, before he headed after him at a quickened pace. The Firani were going to have to wait he thought to himself. If Eyphah was calling him away from the battle, something he knew the Diabi lived for, there had to be a good reason for it. As such Tallulah didn't mind abandoning this battle and going after his friend. He'd come back later for these two, right now he just wanted to see what the Diabi was up to.
