(( This RP is mainly for the meeting of Nyoka and Janja but others are welcome to join as well. ))
A slick, shiny body curled it's way around the wide trunk of a tree, it's green form lost amongst the clumps of leaves as it went. For here in the jungle was where the brilliant and sly Nyoka lived.
His name was in fact not a name in all, for in the words of the tribesmen that lived in the area, the snake was named: Snake. However Nyoka had no need for a true identity, no need for a name when he had no one to introduce himself too.
For really...who would want to befriend a serpent with poisoned fangs?
He paused in his climb, turned his head and followed a low hanging branch to it's very tip, not minding that it bowed under his weight. Here where the leaves parted he could bathe in the sun to warm his cold blood.

The sleeping form of Janja'Nyoka lay curled up tightly in the tree next to the one Nyoka was crawling up. The sleeping green snakes eyes fluttered open then shut sleepily.
After another minute or two the snakes eyes flutter open once again and this time stayed open after they nearly shut again. A soft yawn escaped her lips as she uncurled her body.
Stretching would have been useful but she had no need to seeing she didn't exactly have a spine and was forced to slither from place to place on her stomach. Her eyes darted from place to place looking for something to eat. Eventually her eyes settled on Nyoka who had reached the top of the nearby tree. "Hello"

The snake jolted from his sunbathing, reflexes lightning quick as his head darted around to focus upon the stranger. Like all serpents he relied ion his speed and accuracy to catch prey, and though the snake wasn't food she could have been a danger.
He flicked out his tongue, tasting the air before him as he hissed a greeting, the sound interlacing each word he spoke. "Hello there little misss." He coiled his head back, shiny scales glittering in the sun. She too was a pretty green in colour, the perfect shade to hide here amongst the branches.
"What bringsss you to thisss fine tree today?" His round and piercing eyes sparkled with sunbeams as the end of his tail raised up slightly.

A slight smirk fell upon her face as her dark yellow eyes surveyed the other snake carefully. It was hard to remember the last time she had found someone other than prey to talk to.
"What bringsss me here, wasss a nap." The words came out as a soft hiss that was aduible to the other snake despite the distance between them. Her body which had stretched across the length of the branch she was perched on suddenly recoiled and wrapped around her
"Why may I asssssk did you choosssse that tree?" Her cold voice asked him, her eyes never leaving him

His tongue flickered between his scaled lips as he gazed down at her with those scaringly piercing eyes. It was strange talking to one of his own kind again, for the numbers of snakes in the jungle seemed to have decreased since he had left the egg and slithered away through the carpet of flowers.
"Ahh I sssee." He hissed with laughter, relaxing his coils that had been tightly knotted around the tree branch.
At her question he seemingly turned his face up to the splatter of sun shining upon him and twitched his tail. "The sssun feelsss good here." He smirked, "and up here there isss no danger of being ssstepped on." Again a dark tongue flickered, tasting the air around him.
"Tell me, what isss your name?" He loosed his body, slowly falling to the lower branch before wrapping his coils around it, making his way closer to the female. "I am Nyoka, nothing more nothing lesss."

Bakari stumbled along, babbling up a storm of how he met an elephant. "An' then we visited the monkeys! An' they said I should be the king of a pride and.."
Nyamafu slithered along with the cub, rolling his eyes and sighing. Cubs would be cubs.. he needed to talk to a snake. Badly.
Lazy eyes scanned the area boredly, before he noticed two other snakes! One was a rather nice seafoam color, while the other, a female was a jungle green. He quickly turned to Bakari. "Why don't you go take a nap, masster?" he hissed. The cub nodded and smiled, before waddling towards a few rocks, and curling up. He was tired from his 'adventure'.
Quickly, Nyamafu slithered towards the two snakes, before coiling back a bit. He didn't want to seem intrusive. "E-erm.. hello." he said shyly, bowing his head a bit to the two.

"I am never ssssstepped on ssssssir, after all who would want to ssssstep on me?" Janja'Nyoka was very proud of the colors of scales, but what she said was true, who would want to step on a snake, especially since she wouldn't heistate to bite whoever almost stepped on her sinking in her poison.
"My name issssss....." Her soft hiss trailed off as the other blue snake joined them. "Hello ssssir." This would prove to be quite interesting to her since she could tell that the other two snakes were male.
A smile gracing Janja's lips she finished her earlier sentence "Janja'Nyoka issss my name, but feel free to call me Janja" Turning toward Nyamafu she asked "What pray tell isss your name?"

The wedge-shaped head jerked sideways to gaze at the form of a blue snake, rather surprised that their conversation would be interrupted. Who would have thought it! Three snakes lying in the sun and all in the same place.
In reply to Janja's question the snake hissed, "many foolsss live in thisss world, green ssscales...Janja." He dipped his head in a sort of bow before turning his attention once again to the other male, raising his body up from the branch so that it'=s slender form swayed from side to side. His tongue flickered from between his slim lips and an angered hiss leapt forth.
"You sssmell of lion cub." He spat the words as viciously as if they were thrown daggers.
He despised lions...well all except for one and she was not yet ready for this world. No...she was waiting, sleeping, pondering on her awakening. Soon...it would be soon.

Nyamafu bowed his head to Janja. "It'ss a pleasure, misss.." he hissed softly, smiling weakly. Hopefully she could be a friend to him. He grew a bit tired of Bakari sometimes.
Then he heard the other snake hiss poisonous words about his dear friend. "Iss that a problem that I sssmell of lion?" he asked calmly, narrowing his blue eyes at this snake. "The cub ressscued me from near death, thusss I owe him my life.."

A soft chuckle escape her lips as she glanced back and forth from each snake before the female spoke "Yessss Many a fool live here in thissss world, but any fool to step on me, hasss already paid the price." Then Janja turned her head toward Nyamafu.
"The pleasssssure isss mine ssssir." It wouldn't hurt to be poliet and the green snake atleast tried to. She had nothing against Lions so when she heard the vicious tone used by Nyoka it surpised her slightly
"Nyoka, praytell what do you have againssssst lionsssss?" This could prove very intersting to her.

Did he really have to explain himself?
Well if he didn't he'd probably lose the only company he'd had for days. It seemed that the other male was indeed a fan of those big furry animals and even the female seemed not to mind them. How surprising.
He opened his mouth, the two glistening fangs contracting in his jaws as he chose his next words carefully.
"Then you ssshould think yourssself lucky to have met the one lion out there who isssn't a fool." He coiled his body into a tighter knot, "for all I know of them isss corruption and their...backssstabbing tendenciesss." He would say nothing more of the lioness he waited for...not until he knew they could be trusted.
He turned his head to Janja with the hint of a smile on his serpentine face. "They alssso have large pawsss." He chuckled as he referred to a comment made by him only a few moments ago. It was the best idea he could think of to lighten the mood in any case.
