i was just wondering what u guys think about the show. did u expect a show like this on nick? should aang be older? should anng have other pets?

I LOVE Avatar:The Last Airbender!! heart I think that it could be better if it wasn't on Nickelodeon.It could be more intense. ninja

IF it wasn't on nick it'd be less childish and probably when they fight or stab each other they'd bleed and there would be more action. It could be more realistic. Instead when they punch each other and there's nothing. I mean when Zuko fell out the ship when it blew up, his scars did not look like scars.

I wouldn't change much at all. I absolutely love the storyplot and the characters and I think it all fits together well.

I think it's the best show Nick has done. It... has an intelligent plotline. Coming from Nick, that's a big step (don't get me wrong, I love Songebob and all...). I like how they researched all those martial arts techiniques and fused them with the elemetal... elements. 3nodding Heh...
Some people argue that using the elements was cliche, and the storyline isn't very original, and I guess it is very similar to other plots, but the animation, casting, and character development has been done very well, so Nick definitely deserves props for that. heart

Obviously, one of the best animated shows on television. And one of my favorites. I had no idea Nick would come out with such an awesome action show as this.
If it wasn't on Nick, I think there would be more blood. :3 I would enjoy more "realistic" fight scenes. But, I wouldn't change the show. I think it has plenty of romance. (Except not enough slash. Huhauhauah, kidding...)

Well I have to say, I don't think I'd be here if I didn't love the show. heart
Um thoughts? Well first I think it's amazing that Nick got a hold of Avatar. I think the effort and talent that is put into the show is amazing! And the fact that Nick got it is different, not sure how it'd be if someone else had gotten it... From Nick I'm ussed to seeing things that have no story line and five cent animation, then here comes Avatar. Now don't get me wrong, I like some of them myself, but they don't have near the quality of Avatar.
Others have said they'd like it more realistic. Well, I'm assuming we're ignoring the ten-ton magical monster and such... rolleyes But I like it the way they do that. I like the inocence in the show. 3nodding

I really love it and envy the bending skills! I do see some plot holes and sometimes the animation is stiffy, rarely.

Although a part of me is surprised that Nick got a hold of it, I can't say I'm -too- surprised. I mean, think for a moment about all the other channels that play cool animated shows that aren't just comedies.... now think of how many of those are Japanese.....
I think that the US has gotten a reputation for only producing animated shows that are supposed to be funny. And even though anime has had it's effect here, there still aren't a lot of US made animations that -aren't- comedy only and aren't based off yet another Disney movie. And no offense, as much as I love Cartoon Network, they only have two kinds of shows that fall into this catagory, anime, and crappily made US animations that are supposed to be funny.
But hey, maybe I'm being a little too harsh.
Pertaining more to what everyone else was saying though, I don't think that Avatar would nessaccarily have more blood and guts (unless you all know more about the creator than I do), and like I said, I'm not -too- surprised. After all, they did have Invader Zim, which was MORE of a surprise to me (and I know for a fact would have had more blood and guts if Nick hadn't taken it XP) actually.... it's still a surprise.... I mean, you've all read Vasquez's comics, ne? Who could EVER think see stuff like that on Nick?

*Sigh* I remember when my sister first started watching it. I'll probably go to Avatar hell for thinking it was just another stupid Nick show. Now I'm proud to say I'm 13 and in love with a cartoon. That show has made me laugh, cry, dance outside in the rain from blissful joy, burn with hate, hyperventilate, and caused me to fall for an animated guy. That show is a real life saver, and I'll probably cry agian if Iroh dies. Even if he lives, I'll cry from happiness.
