This was a question the fae kept having to ask herself. Because It was incredibly difficult to track down Yuki at the best of times. If there ever was a bests of times. She knew the ghost had habit of wandering around the campus, but where he liked to hang out was beyond her. So far she had spent much of the morning flying around the woods, the edge of the campus, tried halloween town a few times, and being nearly exhausted tried a last ditch attempt to find him at his dorm room.
Landing in a huff on the ground, the fae stepped up to his door and knocked on it. Most of the time though she didn't hear a answer.

"Just a sec-" Came the response from the other side of the door, and after a moment there was a loud click of a deadbolt being unlocked before he opened the door.
Looking down to see that it was the familiar fae at his door, Yuki smiled. "Hey, Astra!" He stepped back from the door, gesturing in invitation to come inside so he could shut the door.
"What's up?"

For a moment Astra couldn't move, so surprised that he was actually inside. Then her face broke out into a giant grin, and she literally threw herself at the ghost. "YUKI!" She squeaked, trying to tackle him to the ground (although since she was half his size chances weren't high). She might have even got a little choked up, so happy to see him again after so long. "Where have you been?!" She asked, trying her very best not to appear like she wanted to cry.

Yuki caught the small ghoul, unable to keep himself from laughing in amusement at her enthusiasm to see him. As much as she might have wanted to outright tackle him, he had barely budged two steps backward.
Maneuvering to bump the door closed with his shoulder, he kept hold of Astra and walked them both over to the sofa. Yuki let himself drop down onto it with the ghoul in his lap and his arms loosely wrapped around her middle.
"I'd been home with Deacon, for a bit." Yuki replied, apparently not grasping just how upset she was. "He needed... Some time off, after what happened. He asked me to come with him." Granted, he hadn't been gone as long as the bakeneko had, but leaving without word was apparently something they were both prone to doing.

After what happened. Oh, yeah, there was that absolutely fun episode. Something which Astra had been doing her damn hardest to not think about. But now that Yuki had brought it up she was forced to remember what had happened. Including how Yuki had been changed himself, and...and...
The mere thoughts about this brought tears to the fairy's eyes. It was a constant struggle just to keep a good frame of mind, and many a time she was unable to do so, having to resort to hiding in her room. How could she not, when every time she seemed to venture outside the school grounds she was subjected to a strange and terrifying experience, most of the time ending in death. It was taking a toll on her mind, leaving her a emotional wreck.
She had hoped that she could have talked to Yuki before, but considering he had been gone..she had no one to turn too. There were others she could turn to, but she didn't want to put her burdens onto everyone else; chances are they were dealing with the same thing.
But now that he was back...it frightened her to know that he might disappear again, and she clung to the boil as her tears began to fall faster, sobbing heaily into his nice clean shirt.

Yuki's pleasant expression faded the instant he saw tears in her eyes. "Astra? What's-" The emotion that was taking her over sent a weak feeling of nausea to his stomach as his own natural ability soaked it in greedily. He struggled to ignore it, adamant against pushing the fae away. Clearly this was his fault, if she was breaking down like this in front of him.
So, he just wrapped his arms around Astra tightly, letting her cry into his chest and deeply hoping that she could muster words soon so he knew precisely how much of this was his doing and how much of it was things that had transpired in his absence. He rested his chin on the top of her head, gently stroking her hair and trying to offer softly spoken reassurance.

It took a while for Astra to calm down enough to say something understandable, besides sobbing and something like words, but eventually her sobs had receded into sniffles, her eyes puffy and red from all the moisture.
"I....was worried..." she mumbled into his chest. "That you were...angry at me, and had disappeared...I couldn't find you at all...I tried looking everywhere...cause I wanted to say how sorry I was...for whatever it was I had done..."
Because, he had to be mad at her, right? Considering what he had done to her...

It was heartbreaking for her to be crying like she was, and Yuki certainly felt like a royal jackass for not being around when she clearly needed him to be. Deacon would have been fine without him. What had happened here while they were gone?
The fact that when she could speak, Astra started to apologize, made Yuki's stomach lurch. For a long moment, he had no idea how to respond to such an idea.
"You never did anything to upset me. Never. Why would you..." Because you'd been gone for months, jackass. "I didn't leave because of that..."
"Forgive me, I... I didn't mean to worry you so much."
Forgiveness probably wasn't something he was going to get right off the bat so easily, but he'd be damned if he didn't try to reassure her. He hugged her tightly to him again for several moments, and drew back just enough to try and meet her gaze.
"What can I do?" Yuki asked softly, but seriously. "How can I help make it right?"

"A-are you sure?" She said softly, her hands clinging onto his sleeves and she blinked away tears. "I mean...I know I can be flighty...and I like playing pranks on people...." She whipped her eyes on her sleeve, feeling a little better as Yuki reassured her that he wasn't angry with her, that he had gone away to help out Deacon and not because of her.
Though part of her still wasn't sure. It was hard to forget what happened at fright night. Feeling those cold hands grip her until her very body froze. She shuddered at the thought.
He then asked what he could do to make it right. She looked into his eyes, her gaze worried as she asked.
"Tell me...what you were thinking when you killed me."

Way to make a boil speechless, Astra.
Yuki stared at her, looking the picture of awkward fear. Was there a right way to answer this question? Could he just go throw up now?
"I wasn't myself, Astra... Not in my right mind..." Yuki answered at last, skirting around the question. "Do you really want either of us to think about what anyone did in that place?"
"I'd take it back, if I could... But I can't, Astra."

The fact he didn't answer right away made the reassurance she felt disappear. Astra felt like crawling into a little ball in her bed and hiding for a million years, her expression turning fearful as he tried to explain. She had known that insanity did strange things to you, but she wanted to be certain it was the insanity and not himself.
However the way Yuki was explaining it left her with many doubts. She shook her head to his question. "N-no, I don't want to think about it..." She replied softly. "B-but...I just don't know what to think! You were there...and then you got hurt and and.you turned into that giant...thing.. It hurt...it really hurt. I'm no stranger to pain Yuki...but I don't think I've felt anything hurt so much. I thought you might of been mad at me, and you wanted to get back at me...I wasn't sure weather it was you strangling me or if it was the insanity. But before I could ask you disappeared..."

"I'm sorry, Astra... I was never upset with you. I never meant to hurt you. I would have rather died... I mean, really died, than to have become one of those things." His eyes were brimming with unshed tears, the ghost worried that her reason for coming here was not positive in the slightest. "The fog, the voices controlled us... You saw what Deacon did. How he went after all of us, and Riyo... If he had been in his right mind, he would have been appalled by the idea of hurting her."
He put his forehead to hers, in a simple affectionate gesture, and kept it there. "Like I never would have hurt you. I swear, it was the Insanity. There's nothing you could do to make me want to hurt you like that consciously... I'd never want to hurt you at all, Astra. Please believe me on that."

Oh no...Astra didn't want this! She could see Yuki was about to cry...she didn't want him to cry! Sure, his words consoled the ache in her heart, but it left another one in her place at the sight of his tears.
"Ah! Yuki you can't cry!" Astra said with a small sob. "T-thats my job! I don't want you upset..." Her face reddened with the contact of his forehead, and she closed her eyes and let his words sink in. It was the insanity, he said he would never have hurt her...It was what she wanted to hear.
She then pulled back, leaned forwards again to plant a small kiss on his forehead. "Please don't cry..."

Then, suddenly she was scolding him for getting teary. He chuckled softly, one hand coming up to rub the wetness from his eyes with his fingertips. "Apparently, I can cry." Yuki replied teasingly, a small smile returning to his face with Astra's little peck on his forehead. "I don't want either of us crying, love. You just had me worried that this was going to be a goodbye talk."
He paused a moment, and looked to her with a bit of concern.
"It isn't, is it? I couldn't blame you, if you found another while I was gone."

If Yuki wanted to turn the tables and make Astra speechless, that was one way to go about it. It was also a very good way of making sure she wasn't going anywhere for a good long while, as she all but tackled the ghost boil and clung to his neck as if he would disappear if she didn't. And in her mind, this was a real possibility.
"N-no, this isn't a goodbye talk!" She clutched him harder as her tears began to fall again. "I haven't found anyone else! You're the only boil for me!" She wailed and if possible, tried to hug him even tighter.
Congratulations Yuki, you now have a fairy stuck to you for jack knows how long.
