Today was... one of those days. One where he just... had a bad feeling. It was as if the stars were aligning in such a way to curse him. But he didn't know why. It was just this foreboding feeling as he strode through the hall up from his room. Something was going to go wrong, he couldn't guess at what though. But it was enough of a feeling that he was a bit paranoid.
Though sadly, he was a busy enough student he couldn't hide inside even on days like that.
There were things to do, fresh air to breath, and a pumpkin sun to curse at for being too warm. The usual. Also he did want to try out a bakery that Xiu had suggested to him. Somewhat on accident, but regardless, he wouldn't mind a treat. It would certainly ease that odd feeling he had.
And get his mind off that annoying weighty little lock around his throat. Yea, that was still there. With no new answers on what it's use was. Just that he'd 'eventually' remember things. Wonderful. Fabulous. Great. It held everything he forgot and he had no idea how it worked. And it didn't even have a bell on it, nor was there any good way to put one on it. Really, it didn't fit him at all.
Well, no real loss, and honestly this day couldn't be that bad. He'd already had his hair chopped and... well he wasn't going to think about it. Nothing could top that day, so really... what was he worried about? ...well not unless someone showed up with sheers. Then he was going to go sleep the day away. No questions asked. Regardless, he was nearly out, just in one of the main floor halls as he made his way toward the main lobby.
After all. Things to do. Creeple to meet.

Creeple to meet indeed.
Or at least, a certain ghoul. But instead of sheers, she was carrying a scareon, its hind legs dangling and tail swishing about as its fore legs hung over her arms, a star-shaped plushie in its mouth as it surveyed its surrounding with rapt attention. Another scareon was around her shoulders, curled around her neck as if imitating a scarf, and was dozing peacefully with a similar star-shaped plushie in its paws.
She was on her way to the demon dorms, when she saw a familiar-looking boil with long white hair and blue ice horns, not to mention the bells were a dead giveaway, and she was already running towards him, the scareon bouncing in her arms while the other one around her neck awoke from the sudden change in pace, clinging on for dear life.
"Molan!!"

Molan was anything but discreet. Anyone who knew him could spot him coming a mile away, that much was true. Then again, his demeanor, while not the most talkative, wasn't exactly the type to vanish into shadows either. He'd been brought up to be proud, so he tended to carry himself as such. Needless, he was easy to find when looking for him. Usually... if you knew his general location anyway.
And he was even getting better at receiving company. Though, he didn't exactly expect so much happiness from the ghoul as she came running up. Really, you'd think she had some business with him. They were just acquaintances. There was no need to rush over when they didn't even have plans of any sort, she'd even nearly given one of the minipets riding on her shoulders a near heart attack. Silly ghoul. "Good afternoon, Miasma." He didn't share the same excited smile, but merely muted curiosity as he watched her. No real happiness, just the usual neutral natural he gave to most. But what else might she have expected? "Did you need something?" With the way she was rushing over, that had to be it?
"Visiting someone in the dormitory?" He crossed his arms, more of a gesture to leave them resting somewhere other than his sides, but honestly his gaze was more to the poor minipet that was working on keeping balance than the ghoul. She should have been more careful.

She had been much too excited to see him that she hadn't even noticed he didn't call her Mia, but his lack of enthusiasm made her frown slightly. Hadn't he missed her? Well... ok, there was prom, and they hadn't been.... apart that long. Jack, she was probably just over-reacting, but with everything that had happened lately, it seemed like forever.
"Molan, I came to see YOU, silly!"
A squeak alerted her to the scareon around her shoulders, who seemed to be having a mini heart attack. Oops.
"Ah, oh, sorry little guy."
Shifting the scareon in her hands into one arm, she gave an apologetic laugh and patted the one on her shoulder lightly on the head, then turned back to the boil, holding the scareon in her hand out towards him.
"Look, I brought you something! Isn't he adorable?!"

Wow, she really was all smiles, or mostly. There was a brief moment when a frown crossed her face. Though it was only momentary before she was back and babbling happily again. And calling him silly.
How was he silly? He was being entirely logical, and his actions made sense. Why would he have expected her to come visit him? They hardly knew each other. "Oh, that's a surprise." Though, his tone was controlled as he tilted his head to one side, though he could at least appreciate that she was taking a moment to check over the scareon she'd left frazzled. At least he seemed to be calming down, poor thing. "Was there a reason?" He inquired briefly only to find that she was now offering one of the two minipets to him.
...well. This was acceptable. He figured saving it from heart attacks was also a worthy and redeeming thing to do, so reached out and accepted the small creature before letting it curl up in one arm and scratched it's head. "They're quite charming little things, yes. But why did you bring one to me?" Yes, there was still the ongoing question, why him? "Getting lost in the dormitory and all, why did you choose to bring him to me?" He tilted his head a bit, offering her a small smile, still as puzzled as ever as he stared at the reaper.[A.V.] Slowly coming closer to when she blows up at him. But he'll at least be polite as usual.

A happy face was better than a grumpy face, Molan, you should know that.
Or, he would have known if he remembered.
"A reason?"
Miasma frowned, wondering why Molan was acting like this. Wasn't he happy to see her too? Or was she being overly-attached? She decided to push the thought out of her head and gave him a strained smile.
"Because I missed seeing you. Is that not enough reason to visit a friend?"
She felt a bit of relief when he took the scareon, but when he inquired why, she felt her eye twitch, slightly annoyed he was playing 21 questions with her. Did she really need a motive for everything she did? Couldn't friends just do nice stuff for each other? He DID consider her a friend... didn't he?
"Because I wanted to, and I didn't get lost. I was looking for you! Are you... not happy to see me?"
She was hurt, Molan.

Yes, if he'd remembered that would have solved many of the problems that were going on. The lack of synch in their understanding, and the inevitable crushing blow this would lead to.
"Yes." Was the only reply she got to her initial question, his head shifting marginally to tilt to one side. There had to be a reason. And why did she look like it bothered her he was even questioning this? They were-
Apparently friends? Or so she thought. "Oh, I hadn't realized." Wow. She got attached fast. A few brief meetings and a brush by in class? Had they really spoke enough to qualify as friends? Well, everyone had their own standards, and this ghoul was just one of those who considered everyone a friend apparently. Odd, considering she hadn't seemed the type when he'd met her. The more you knew.
Though as he continued to lightly rub at the scareon's cheeks as it took to perching lazily she spoke again, further questioning it. "Well... it's not that. I just didn't consider us so close as to be calling each other friends. So I wouldn't normally have looked for you? So I wasn't expecting the opposite from you either." Which was the absolute truth. He didn't dislike Miasma, he just... didn't know her that well. So... it just seemed odd.
"We've only met a few times after all." Was he saying too much? But he did want her to understand his confusion over it.

If only.
She was perplexed by his less-than-enthusiastic response. She knew he wasn't one to be overly expressive with his emotions, and while she wasn't expecting him to be jumping for joy at the sight of her, she did hope for a slightly more welcoming reception. But as he continued speaking, a worried expression grew on her face.
He hadn't realized... they were friends? Yes, she did admit they hadn't really... dated for long, and even so, she really just considered themselves good friends, but for him to treat her as if he had just met her... that was just cold (haha).
"Well, I'm sorry if I interrupted anything, and I know I shouldn't be this excited especially after we haven't seen each other for only a short while, but really, you act as if you've just met me or something..." As if this was there second meeting or something. But that's not possible. He admitted that he liked her too, didn't he? And he knew that she told him how she felt, so why was he...
She laughed nervously, giving Molan an uneasy look.
"This isn't funny, stop it."
