Today Porsha would be working with someone didn't seem to have much, if any, training what so ever, so her tactics were going to have to be a little different. No matter, she was prepared for this.

Instead of standing in the ring she was sitting on a bench beside a large hanging heavy bag with a clip board on her knee and a pen in her hand. Currently the end was being tapped in rapid succession against the wood as she looked over what she'd already written out on the page. It was a routine, consisting of basic work outs and stamina builders, as well as a regime of actual training that would set someone on the proper path to holding their own in a fight.

It was all things she'd already gone through, and quite a few of them she maintained to this day to keep her form strong and her core tight. She might have been a punk, and degenerate, but Porsha Webber was driven and hard working.

A glance up at the wall clock showed it was ten to three, so Ian should be arriving any minute now.

Ian had never been much of a fighter, but he was starting to realize that he was going to need those skills. So, when he had seen the notice, he had seen no reason not to request instruction. It had to be better than just making up things as he went.

That didn't make him any less nervous though.

Still, he was at the arranged location, five minutes early. He had worn fairly comfortable clothing, a pair of track pants and a t-shirt, not knowing just exactly what Porsha intended to teach him. He wanted to be prepared, and that had seemed like a decent compromise.

It seemed that she had gotten there before he had, and he walked over to the bench she was sitting on. "Thanks for doing this."

Grey eyes followed the young man as he approached her, gauging, considering, until he'd come to a stop before her and she offered him a smile. "It's no trouble, trust me." If someone needed the help, requested it, then she was going to provide it. They needed to be strong, they had a war to win, and inexperience and luck was not going to win it. Duty had led her to hang those fliers, but she didn't view these exercises as an obligation.

Necessary, of course, but she enjoyed what she did.

The clipboard was set aside, and Porsha got to her feet. "We'll start with some stretching, and then move on from there. Tell me Ian, are there any reoccurring injuries or conditions I should be worried about?" She assumed not, but it was wise to ask. If need be, the training could be tailored.

She was pleased to see he'd come prepared it appropriate clothing. It showed he was taking things seriously, and she appreciated that.

He smiled. It was good to hear that this wasn't any trouble, and he knew that he was going to try his best. It was the least he could do, since she was taking the time out to work with him.

He nodded, moving into the stretches that he had learned back at Hillsworth. They were basics, of course, but they seemed as good of a place to start as any.

"No," he responded, answering her question. "And I checked with my doctor about my meds. He said it'd be fine."

Sorry it took so long.

"Great! Then we won't have to make any changes to the training regimen." She made note on her clipboard with a pleased little smile, then glanced up in time to see he'd already started his stretches. This served to broaden the grin. She did like an eager pupil, it made things so much more rewarding.

Without a word she set her clip board and moved to stand over him as he stretched, and when needed, she have him a little hands on assistance. Correcting his form and helping him get the most out of his stretches. She'd also show him a few new ones that were designed to hit the muscle groups that weren't as obvious, but were just as crucial. Ones that would have slipped the mind until the morning after when they hurt like a son of a b***h.

When they were finished she'd offer him a hand up. "Usually I'd have you wrap your hands and wrists, but we're not going to be hitting anything with that much force today, so that lesson can wait. I can show you before you leave today if you want, so you can practice on your own." There was a pair of supportive, padded gloves on the bench near where she'd set her clipboard, and she held them out to him. "For now use these. We're gunna focus on form first, force later."
