Mamoru has always been silent to the point that he doesn't speak at all to others making people believe that he is unable to speak or communicate with people. He is a sociopath that has an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when it comes to his martial arts and his sleep schedule. His anti-social nature and the obsessive nature with his hobbies causes him to be extremely violent when his time is interrupted when he is indulging in his favorite activities. His estranged disconnection from society has made him unbalanced to what society believes to be acceptable and his own moral compass. He has indulged his rage in some of the seven deadly sins that society frowns on as well, which has gotten him into a massive amount of trouble. The seven deadly sins that he has indulged in are: Lust, Pride and Sloth, which have led to some rather harmful events to occur.

Mamoru has attended many different schools that have tried to fix his anti-social nature, but have all failed in the end. The first school had a reputation for experimenting on their students and making them fight, while they were attending the school. The serum that had been administered to him caused him to develop a his estranged personality and his strange ability to control nightmares, which had been warped from his personal ability as a kitsune to control dreams. His estranged mentality caused him to join the criminal organization, which gave him free ride to torment his home town.. Near the end of his horrific torment of his home town, he started to screw up and was caught. His home town and family disgraced by his actions and hand in the terror caused him to loose his one thing that gave him the most pride - his tail. The authorities decided to send him to the academy to straighten him into a moral figure of society and to atone for his sins, which is the only way for him to regain his tail.
Nightmare Control
User can enter and manipulate the nightmares of themselves and others, including modifying, suppressing, fabricating, influencing, manifesting, sensing, and observing nightmares. The overwhelming shock, fear, anxiety and terror can prove too suffocating for the victim in which their hearts might explode or brains might die. In some cases, the user's power extends to the real world, such as wounds inflicted on a sleeping victim and even pulling someone from the waking world into the dream world. He has developed his control to the point that he can affect people that are sleeping or daydreaming in the same room as him. He can use the manipulation of nightmares every half-hour, but after using the ability three times in a two-hour time period he will need to rest for the same amount of time.
Limitations:
If the target does not have anything to be afraid of then the user can’t control their nightmares.
The user can only affect sleeping subjects. Due to this, users have a limited amount of time, while their target is asleep unless the user also has Sleep Inducement.
Psychic shield cancels this power and prevent him from entering the target's mind.
This may be limited to only putting a person in a nightmare, not fully controlling their dream and this happens when he has used to much of his powers in a day, which means if he uses it more than six times in a day.

He has violently attacked ten victims before he was apprehended by the authorities, but the authorities believe that he has performed more vile deeds than they were going to charge him with. They believe he is linked to the Yakuza, but have no evidence to charge him with being tied to a criminal organization.
