HUNTER BATTLE TOURNAMENT!!
Let's have our FIRST hunter battle tournament!
The IC premise will be that under the blessing of Sun Division, Bix has organized a tournament. Healthy competition for strong kokoro and nakama bonds!
This would just be an RP activity for fun amongst the hunters.. some friendly competition without permanent damage (physical at least ;D) for peen points! Or like a hawt cape your hunter can wear around as champion.. fur trim.. fake gold chains... maybe a tiara we dug out of julie's old belongings? >D This will be a great chance to start or develop some rivalries and for our newly hatched hunters to get their feet wet with battling!!
Some guidelines so far I've worked out by talking it over with the mods:
Please let me know in your post if you have input on any of these things!
-Brackets will be done by RANK. (Trainees v. Trainees, Intermediates v. Intermediates, Hunters v. Hunters)
-No charge attacks, no artifacts, no runics.
-Matches will last 48 hours OOC. At the end of 48 hours, if the match has not ended, highest HP wins. IC this would just translate into a timed battle. Some sort of roll-off if tied?? idk.
-No character death or maiming. Taking someone to 0 hp will be a dropped FEAR shield, anything going into the negatives will just be considered to be a KO. So yes, maybe we'll need a stretcher or two for unconscious/exhausted hunters, but no injuries. With half the facilities powered down, you may just get rolled into a gutter until you wake up ;D

RIVALRY!!
As a way to encourage character interaction or plot development, I'm going to try and offer RIVALRY MATCHES.
What does this mean? Basically you and your rival would specify that you want to battle each other and OOC I will fix that match to happen in the first round. Maybe you aren't horrible enemies but want to fight someone in particular to fuel some friendly fire.. thats ok too!
Drawbacks? This would be mostly for plot fodder! If you want to encourage a rivalry or develop one. Of course by agreeing to it, you are agreeing that one of your characters will be eliminated in the first round!! The sacrifices we make for plot D: Otherwise you must simply chance that you guys will meet at some point in the tournament... maybe.
Restrictions: Obviously you MUST be in the same rank. It's just not a fair fight otherwise. You also must have permission from the other person. I'm not going to do a crazy form for that or anything but if you list someone, I will take your word that you spoke to them. DO NOT ASSUME.
Other Notes on this: If for some reason you find this concept to be super unfair or something, please note it in on your form! EVERYONE will get a first round match, regardless of the matchups.. and half those people will be eliminated anyway.. so hopefully it's just a fun option that some may want to take up. Obviously if no one wants it, it will not be included in the tournament.

CAN YOU HELP?
Is there a preferred date/time? I haven't settled on it but I figured this could be a good fun competition for the post-meta island and if people are taking vacations or exams or anything, I will do my best to schedule around it.
Do you care about who is 1st, 2nd, 3rd? Or do you just want a grand champion? This only effects the number of matches we create (as there will need to be a match for 3rd place if so).
How would you guys like spectators handled? Would you mind them posting in your battle thread so that your hunter can react, or would you prefer a separate spectator thread like was done for Battle of the Bands?
