No, just signs. Signs as far as the eye could see, which seemed to be a trend with overzealous invitations to events. They were in the hallways, in the library, the cafeteria, the common areas, the wishing well - everywhere. They were absolutely inescapable, and even the students who never left their rooms would probably find one slipped under their door.
For those feeling out of touch, or inhabitants of the undead dorm who simply had no idea where the common room referred to on the sign was actually located, there were glowing arrows leading to it from each occupied dorm room.
It all very clearly seemed to spell out one thing:
You have no excuse to not be there.

On Curseday, there was what could only be described as a small Tackbot waiting in the dorm's common room.
"Hi! Hi! Hi!" said the Tackbot, stiffly waving its arm, it's chirpy, electronic pitch easily audible throughout the room. "I am Tackbot! I am a lot like your Treasurer, but not! This is Sophie! She is not a bot!" He gestured rapidly towards Sophie. "She is here to help and make sure everyone follows rules and is nice to each other! Be nice! Be nice! Be nice! If someone is not nice or is breaking the rules, she is the one to contact!" Hopefully, Sophie had been made aware of this fact before now, because a small, artificially animated copy of a dog was not the best thing to reason with. Largely because it was incapable of emotions or reason, despite how excited it appeared. "Cheer for her now! Hooray!" It bounced up and down, tiny arms flailing.
"And now we talk about more stuff! Everyone has to use teamwork to decide which Colours, Mascot, and Motto you want to pick to represent yourselves in a thing that will happen kind of soon! Fun! Fun! Fun! Everybody gets to vote on the House Colours, and that's how you'll pick those! Fill out the forms here--" It waved as dramatically as a Tackbot could towards a stack of vote slips. "And put them here!" It waved dramatically again, this time towards a ballot box.
"But the Motto and Mascot will be picked another way! Please make any suggestions now if you have them! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

PRE-TRIAL: TEAM BONDING EXERCISE
The common room of your dorm has been rearranged. Any furniture has been pushed back against the walls and more had been added to line the room perfectly. In the middle of the now open space rests a table with a sheet of paper and a pen. Nearby stands your Student Council representative-bot and a familiar student, each wearing an intricate little badge.
It looks like something's brewing...and the Student Council wants to make sure you're properly represented!
At the end of this ORP, the dorm will have Two House Colours, a Mascot, and a Motto to represent them in...something.

Brainstorm some ideas for a Mascot and Motto to represent your dorm. It's okay if you can't think of an idea, you're welcome to back someone else's. This is for you and your Dorm mates to decide and hash out together as a team. After all, whatever decision the group agrees on will represent your species as a whole in the future!
Try to keep them as relevant as possible to your particular dorm and the general setting of Halloween; so while pink and purple with sparkle princesses would be hilarious for Demons, it's not an entirely plausible suggestion. The Dorm RA is not allowed to suggest a Mascot or a Motto at this time.
